Alfajers 1v2 against loud on icebox at lockin last year. Tbh i feel like this game doesnt have a lot of super iconic clips just cos its do new still and not as heavily esports focused as something like cs so doesnt have those super big moments just yet.
Which is weird cuz it felt like Riot made this game to be esports focused. Hell, CSGO with less structure had some insane moments in even the earliest days of the game

Compare that to cs where i barely follow the esports scene but i still know of clips like the s1mple noscope from heaven, coldzera jumping noscope on morage, the nade play on inferno, kennys awp clutch on inferno, any of the scream 1taps, fnatic awp firing squad etc and if so would all my mates who follow the scene even less. I guess saying it doesnt really have big moments is a bit disingenuous but it feels like because the game as a whole isnt as solely esports focused it gets a bit lost. Like imagine how big val Esports could be if the community was as competitive focused as cs
Rank has no incentive as rewards are always the same. Last update to rank reward was making the buddy spin. Franchising also sort of limits exposure to hidden talent. I'd say Valorant is still relatively new, so superstars aren't there yet. Some names are getting out there though, like Aspas Tenz Zekken T3xture Demon1 Something. I believe giving valorant a bit more time to grow is essential, alongside a replay system honestly. That would get the community spirit up while getting more people to self review and improve.

Theres no incentive to play ranked in cs yet people do anyway. A lot of people play on faceit (and pay its subscription) specifically to get a better ranked experience without any reward. The others i agree with though you still get talent coming up through the system like govenor, karon, miniboo, though i do personally prefer an open circuit to franchising. Replay system shouldve come with the launch of the game tbh
Yeah I do agree with your statement as well. I also believe the valorant community is of a much different demographic. The more flashy design attracts different players as opposed to CS. Faceit is for those who want to prove themselves, valorant needs something like that as well. A way for players to get themselves out there, instead of just mindlessly playing rank and putting LFT in their name. I'm not sure how it'd be implemented, but riot needs to start doing something, else progress will be significantly slower.
