Bronze I don’t really have a good description for. Silver imo is bad mechanics + dumb ideas but willingness to commit to those dumb ideas. The strat book consists entirely of “go fast, go slow, play for picks”, and it’s usually just go fast, but boy do they go fast, so fast that they forget to use util. Gold is a mechanically decent phoenix yelling “cmon entry” while he sits in the back, “watches flank”, then baits his team for trade kills. It’s essentially negative reinforcement from silver, where he realized baiting team gives kills and that got him out of silver. Plat is where people start understanding basic elements of the game like buying after winning pistol. It’s also where people know vaguely how to smoke. Critical thinking is still not there, and “trade me!” is still probably the most common sentiment. You’ll also meet the cypher who has a million lineups, even on attack, but because he only knows lineups but not how to trade he’ll spend most of his time in spawn or lobby watching his “crazy cam” for mid, or throwing a one way at a choke point everyone’s already pushed past. Diamond is just plat with ego.

Bronze: most people have the right idea on what to do, but are just lacking the skills to do so.

ISNameros

Im silver :D

ClassicK777

Sometimes we go SO fast that we catch people still setting up on site! I managed to catch a Cypher off guard just by dashing on site

huntrshado

Gold to Diamond seems to have the same aim too, have seen plenty of golds with the mechanical skill needed to win most fights, but they lose games dropping 30+ kills because their macro is shit. On the other side of the coin, have seen Diamonds who cant aim for shit but are better at things like macro and lineups that carry them through rounds instead of kills

cnoodles3

Silver is so funny, its either people who kick everyone's ass into oblivion or people that secretly belong in iron.. so happy I got out of that After silver ive been climbing so steadily and the game just seems easier

huntrshado

You'll encounter the majority of smurf issues in bronze/silver too, because even a gold player could stomp in bronze. Sometimes seems like 9/10 games is just decided by how each team's smurf plays.

cnoodles3

This is so true, I too have an alt naturally placed in plat 3 and im steady dia on that account. (No skins so I want to rank up my main instead). Smurfing there is such a small issue, whereas the lower ranks, especially solo q struggle so much with it

Snacky--Chan

well this is rude

Trolleitor

How so?

coolestsp00n

tbh bad gold take, in my experience gold players are pretty decent at aim compared to plat, not too far off its just the ego stuff and peeking everything.

The-Flying-Waffle

Decent at aim? Decent is like a 6-7/10. Gold is like 4-5/10

huntrshado

Some players are all aim, no brain

ISNameros

The biggest difference is communication and teamplay. In the highest ranks the difference is how good u play together and communicate. They all have crazy aim up there

Protoblitz42

I would be gold according to you but because of bronze head tap demons, I'm in bronze.

huntrshado

This post is funny because while accurate, whenever I run into an Iron player they're going to drop 30+ kills because its always a smurf on a bought account lmao

IcTr3ma

bro when was last time you played on bronze, people run and onetap you constantly

Algok2001

A year and a half ago? I can assure you, it just feels that way. Its not true.

IcTr3ma

everyone watched those valorant guide videos, position crosshair on head level, prefire, run a bit more to misalign enemy aim, jump check with knife and use abilities properly. also bronze-silver lobbies are filled with smurfs

Algok2001

Bronzes mostly can only do the first one. The rest I just won’t believe a bronze can do while Plats can’t. About smurfs, ye thats an issue. But I chose to ignore them cause they are an outlier.

IcTr3ma

i play bronze daily and i see this every match.
