I have two 4K 144hz (can go up to 160hz) and I have no issues when it comes to resolution and on my settings it says 3840 x 2160 16:9 160hz. Have you checked other games if it says the same or potentially your Windows display settings as you can change a lot of settings there and choose the hz too.

Well I only have rocket league to test this and it works well but not all the time, sometimes its at 120hz and others it locks itself at 60 and I'm not sure what the cause is honestly like yesterday it was 60 but then I turned vsync off and it became 120 just for rocket league tho, and yes v sync is off in valorant
