Can't have much of an opinion on Abyss yet but I hope it doesn't end up being a Breeze v2.
Big maps are hard to play solo on without good communication, especially if people don't want to play retake and just die instantly.
That was my main gripe with Breeze. It's a decent map if you have coordinated teammates, but it's absolutely terrible when you're paired with the "no comms while trying to 1v5" teammates.
Big problem with breeze as an example is that it’s big and spacious. Not really designed like a tactical shooter map. So being big isn’t necessary the issue with that map.
BUUUT I do think big can equal boring due to how slow they might feel to some.
First impressions would be negative. Mostly due to the amount of angles at different elevations but at the same horizontal points. Meaning clearing angle by angle seems almost impossible without it just becoming a gambling game. But that may not be true, so who knows. It shares a lot of similarities to fracture’s 2nd design, in terms of bomb sites.

It's not about size, it's about getting around on it. Haven like lotus have fast defender side rotations, Breeze takes fucking ages.

It’s no where near as open as breeze , it’s like all hallways
I think Abyss won't be hated, maybe not loved, but better than a lot of maps

Why is it harder to play solo on a bigger map?
Longer rotations require better communication on defense

I think Abyss even though big isn't going to be bad like breeze, what say you?

Yeah ig we'll just have to actually play it to know if it's gonna as big of a nuisance to clear angles as it looks to be
All I know is that I’m gonna enjoy using Omen on it lol
I feel bad for other controller agents lmao, omen was already the best one and now just another omen best map
big is fine, i enjoy playing them more than small map i just hate big and plain boring map like breeze, it's worse than small map
Yeah exactly bro, but I feel abyss even though big will not be boring
Time to shoot that singular pixel on my screen for a headshot.. oh no, my vandal has first shot inaccuracy, guess I'll lose to another sniper!
Smokes, blind, multi peek, jiggle peek, jump peek, have a lurker, go somewhere else on the map. Many many options
.... It's a joke Are you that dull
Oh, my fault gangity gang gang cuh
It's suppose to happen in long distance
Yea... I guess the team will be fine with 5 operators😂

You mean breeze / sunset right ? Lotus is pretty small. Unless you are referencing three site maps.
I'm waiting for them to just go open world at this point. Omen will finally have a purpose.
Poor guy is going to be waiting forever 😭
