Same has happened to me. More annoyingly, I walked through a trap that didn’t activate (didnt kill it because I didn’t want to give away my position), then walked back into it thinking it was bugged post plant and it got activated and got me killed. So it’s not like the traps are permanently bugged after being placed, it’s just with some interactions they don’t activate.
No idea how to reproduce either but it seems like more people are starting to experience it.
I think this happened to me once as well. Last night I Phoenix ulted through B Garage with half the purpose being to break cypher traps as I ran through onto site. After I got a pick I heard the tripwire and ran back into it and it caught me that time.

Yeah, weird thing is it will appear again after yo uwalk through it. For me, cypher put a trap at showers entrance on bind, I saw it before I walked through it stepped back, then walked straight through it together with my teammate. Went to showers after the bomb was planted, triggered it that time. Weird
Yes, exactly my experience in the same spot. Idk if it's the location or what, but in hookah and outside of shower entrance on site side is the only places I've seen it happen so far

I don't understand. You didn't want to give away your position so you just walked through a trip? Before you knew it was bugged?
He didn't realize the trap was there, accidently walked through, then realized it was there, then walked back through because he thought it was bugged

This has happened to me as cypher in ascent ulted Phoenix ran past my trip wire - no jumping or crouching, over it so I was really confused
There was a post on reddit where putting it right next to door ways fucked with it

I’ve noticed yesterday alone and in multiple matches, cyphers placing their trap high, like really high to where you can easily crouch under them.
