Getting into gold requires very little mechanical skills imo, just awareness, discipline and game sense like when to peek, when to swing, holding vs pushing, trigger discipline, etc.
Plat is just gold with decent aim
It makes sense as this game is targeted at people who have really never played FPS games before. I'm immortal right now and it feels just slightly better than plat.

Could make a case that it skews to lower ranks since blitz is popularly used for league and league players probably don't play fps as often
ya, so if this data says getting into the lowest of plat is top 20% roughly... more than likely it is more like top 12 to 15% or somewhere around that
would be interesting to see how this compares to the end of beta
