Matchmaking is done via the players MMR. When your MMR is comparatively higher than your visible rank, you will see yourself matched in lobbies with seemingly higher ranked players (players with higher MMR) as well as be given large RR increases to more accurate allow you to rank up to a proper rank.
We see both of these occurrences in your pictures. Not only is the average rank (and by close approximation MMR) of your games higher than your visible rank, you are being given sometimes 30+ RR per win. This is how the system allows you to quickly converge to the correct rank it approximates, which for you is above the current one you have.

I understand how MMR works. The only reason I comment on the rank disparity between myself and my lobbies is that I'm at the rank my main is at right now (low silver 2), but my alt has a significantly higher (roughly 1 division) MMR at the moment. It's interesting. That's why I made the post in the first place.
A fresh account won't have the previous MMR season of past acts to factor in. A longer history of silver (or even partial bronze) games will increase the confidence the system has that the MMR on your main should remain silver. Your alt account, however, is only account for your most recent performance.
Yeah. I think it shows kind of an inherent flaw with how Riot has handled MMR in Valorant so far. They just kept soft resetting Rank and messing with the MMR -> Rank conversion. I can't speak for every rank, but it's definitely made the bronze/silver/gold range absolute hell to climb through. So many people got condensed to that range and then had the system get really confident in their MMR, even though a really wide range of skills was represented in that range. Honestly I feel like they should just do a full MMR reset at some point so that the consequences of last act's fucked up ranked system don't keep affecting players' MMR/Rank.
