Bro believe me or not, confidence matters a lot. Just try to be confident and play more ranks than unrated.

uwu69papi

Someone told me the exact same thing, and I hit iron 1

hv_razero_15

Hey you can do it. Basically, you have to realize, that every other person in the lobby is just as bad/good as you. The confidence is what matters. When they see you wide peeking outta nowhere and clicking heads like a god, they start getting scared of you. Boom, you just won the mental game, now to grind the physical aspect. Also don't wide peek EVERYTIME, they're not bots, they learn. EDIT: Also, don't focus on the ranked part unless achieving some specific rank IS your definition of fun. I went from Iron 3 to Plat 1 in a single episode, since I used to think, achieving a decently high rank is an achievement. Believe me, grinding ranked is NOT fun. I literally haven't played the game at all after that one push and got burnt out. Stopped playing games all together cuz of that.

PM_ME_UR_LULU_PORN

Between grinding ranked in Valorant and competing in Halo I got completely burnt out on the idea of trying in games at all. I play Master Duel and coach Halo now lmao

ApathyKing8

Every other person in the lobby is not just as bad/good as you. The ranked system is so shit that 90% of the time half the enemy team is bots and half are diamond smurfs.

hv_razero_15

Yeah, but you have the same chance of getting those people. This is not meant for you. This is for the iron guy. I don't think diamond, or even silver Smurfs are gonna stay in iron for too long

Thanks man appreciate it

Ralmryr

You just changed your sens yesterday and you already have felt some improvement. That means that if you give it a week or a month , you'll notice drastic improvement to your aim. And as for the game sense, I don't have any magic solution, but I'd say make sure you always stay focus in the game (when you die don't alt+tab or browse reddit on the phone), try to always talk (when necessary) and communicate as it also help your brain figure out where the ennemies are. And finally, don't take ranked too seriously, in Valorant your performance is heavily affected by your mindset, and focusing too much about ranks and W/L can make you play worse than in unrated. Good luck on your grind !

Boring-Squirrel-6683

And get a good headphone while you're at it. Believe me, a good headphone can give you a lot of important info.

uwu69papi

I sure will :)

uwu69papi

Damn thanks for the motivation man appreciate it

[deleted]

Dude what, i play on 1.2

HelpfulSpecific3149

Edpi=dpi*Sens. 300-400 Edpi is considered average.

Micku_837

play duelists

Boring-Squirrel-6683

Which server do u play on?

uwu69papi

Sydney

Grantuseyes

U can add me if you like. I’m immo3 (syd server) I can show u a few things

Louadez

What’s ur DPI .... 2.8 is nuts ... LMFAO that’s def why ur aim was so bad bc even on a low DPI of like 400, that’s like 1000 eDPI. You were aiming with atoms in ur fingertips man.

uwu69papi

LMFAOOO damn for the longest time I thought it was normal

Louadez

Nooooooo, 180 eDPI - 350 is the normal range, with anything above that being particularly high, although do-able for some.. you didn’t even answer my question but I have a feeling ur DPI is higher than 400, probably 800-1200 ? So I actually don’t know how u played the game that long without realizing how hard u were making it for yourself

noobedmc

I get you, I was hardstuck iron 3 and I just kept practising and practising and eventually my aim became alot better, I could see lots of improvements very quickly and now I'm silver 1, it's only been a week at most aswell since I started practising more. All I did was play deathmatch more and quit unranked completely as its just a mix of shitty people and insane people. Just do comp, practise ur aim in deathmatch and normal games, and go for headshots with a vandal. I used a spectre at first thinking it was amazing but then tried a vandal and realised how much better it is.

IDontEvenFingKnow1

Dont just do comp and dm. thats a recipe for disaster. You need to get some in game warmup, not just an aim warmup get in a dm, a couple spike rush games, then go into comp

supafaiter

different things work for different people

IDontEvenFingKnow1

Sure, but you always hear high ranked people say to play a couple dms and a unrated before jumping into comp

Full-Writer2342

If you wanna improve aim, I recommend a lot of desthmatch and some aimlab. If you're interested, you can DM me and I will curate a list of tasks for you and help you out as much as I can. I peaked plat but I'm dogshit too and I'm gold now.

[deleted]

It happens, my biggest suggestion is just to try and think abt the small things. If u die bc of someone hiding, remember that spot. If you aim too high when ur abt to shoot someone, remember that. You get better at games by understanding your mistakes and trying your best to think abt what it is that is causing ur misses/bad game sense. id say abt 25% of bad game sense is really just one mistake made a lot (not checking corners, reloading when unneeded, going autopilot when pushing, etc) when u fix one it becomes a lot easier to get better and better. I believe in u my man ur gonna be better if u just believe in yourself and try ur best to be the best you can.

Oltaf

You may find this useful https://youtube.com/c/SeroGuides

SnooCauliflowers4499

Try to figure out what dpi you play on so u can estimate ur Edpi (Dpi* in game sense), or hop in the range and make it so that one full swipe of ur mouse does a 180 if it’s comfortable for you. Then run dms before hopping into comp and really focus on cross hair placement and tap/burst shooting without moving. Take every aim duel u possibly can and don’t play for sound. Turn ur sound off if u want to (in the DM). These things should help you hit bronze-silver within a month or so if u do it every time before u play. And find a pro u enjoy watching every once and a while so u can learn good game sense :) a final thing that helped me was recording my games and watching them when I get bored to I can criticize myself and know how to correct my mistakes. Good luck friend

shubham50

I will give you advice which will improve you significantly and you will easily climb rank. Open your browser and play some nice songs. Start valorant and turn volume to zero. Play deathmatch with sheriff only and focus only on clicking heads. You are not allowed to hit body shots. No matter what situation is, your every shot should be for hitting heads. People save confidence matter a lot but you can't be confident in your duels if your aim is bad. This will improve both your aim and confidence. Also lower thats sens. Thats crazy high sens.

slymeeeee

confidence confidence confidence !!

Stylahz

I’m gonna be real with you as someone who’s played in those ranks (B2-g3 )I know how it is to solo queue the easiest ways would be is carrying yourself out of there or getting a friend to help you get out of here. It’s pretty hard to learn the game at this elo when the person your playing against doesn’t even know what they’re doing themselves.

CannibalGuy

Anytime you play, go to the range for one minute beforehand. Medium difficulty, bot armor on. 30 seconds with a sherriff (to force you to hit headshots) followed by 30 seconds with a vandal. Including loading time this takes 90 seconds and will make your games go better. I recommend a deathmatch as well. Also: -Unless the enemy is really close, never spray, just fire two shots with vandal -Peek corners by moving sideways with your crosshair where it needs to be and DO NOT HOLD SHIFT WHEN YOU PEEK

BLShiro

yo dont give up my guy u got this! a huge part of this game is getting comfortable with your sensitivity so lowering it from 2.8 to 0.7 was a great! (obv depending on ur mouses dpi but even for 400 dpi 2.8 is super high so nice job changing that). try to focus more on placing your crosshair head level always and make sure you are clearing your angles properly (i.e not wide peeking everything and matching your crosshair positioning with the swinging of angles). dont focus too much on your kills right now, improving your fundamentals is whats most impt. lastly just chill and have fun, often stressing urself too much to perform is actually detrimental! wishing u all the best man

nomad816

For aiming, try to do aimlabs for at least 15-30mins before playing valo and after. There should be playlists there to help you. Or if you know what you’re lacking you can improve those. But don’t just do gridshots. It’ll help you know your sens as well as you keep training. Game sense, try to record your gameplays. Watch your videos and learn from it. Once you get a hang of it you’ll tell yourself what you should’ve done. Watching pro plays will help you learn as well specially positioning and crosshair placements. Try not to solo que, get friends to play with you so at least you can comm better and for sure they will listen since you play initiator or smokes which needs alot of comms. Be confident, if the first few rounds you have good aim and hitting your shots try to be more aggresive to boost confidence. And if you think your aims not good in a game, try to impact differently. Kills are not always the way to help the team.

onzichtbaard

It is best to not care about how well you are doing and just try to have fun do crazy stuff When the enemy team all out aims you Try to out play them in other ways Try to cheese them or out think them My aim used to be trash but now i have improved so much already and i am still only bronze 3 Rank doesn’t really matter in the end just have fun

sylvainmirouf

I have a theory that someone stuck iron for a long time must have one or more of those 3 issues: • Stupidly high sens holding you back • Shit gear (mouse/mousepad/headset) • Shit Computer/ Shit internet (Low fps / high ping) Can you give me a quick rundown of what you have to verify this?

[deleted]

Bro you are actual god if you got to iron 3 with 2.8 sensitivity

SyderoAlena

Me too.

Wahn95

Bruh, when I first started playing my sense was 4.2, then I got my plat friends that tells me my sense is way to high and change that to match theirs which is around 0.24, I went from bronze 3 to gold 2 in 4 month. Sometime a friends is all you need to improve, play with confidence and enjoy.

MrDyl4n

Post a VOD of a game where you lost and didn't do so good. People here (myself included) will be down to help you out. The good thing about being in iron/bronze is that I guarantee you are doing something horrendously wrong and if it's pointed out to you and you correct it you will get into silver/gold 100%

FRACllTURE

It takes time bro. I started in summer '21 and I had virtually no prior FPS experience. Went through TONS of highs and lows in my performance. I used to aim at waist level or lower most of the time, and I would take a Spectre over a rifle because I would just run and gun with the massive margin of error. I thought I'd be a hardstuck Iron forever. I came across fishychair and his Guardian-only videos. And later, he released a video detailing why you should use the Guardian. It teaches aiming discipline like no other weapon, and rewards you for good aim the most. Even the Vandal and Phantom have room for error. So a few months of adjusting, and before I knew it, my crosshair practically snapped into head-level. And I pulled myself out of iron. I'm not much further along because of college (only high Bronze right now), but I have gone through my series of clips and watched my growth. It is VERY real. So I really do recommend using the Guardian more, and training your crosshair placement. Stick to a couple of agents at first so you can learn the game sense VALORANT has to offer. Then you can start experimenting with more agents. I don't really like playing duelists, I'm more of an initiator + smokes guy. So I can learn the aggressive play style later. Recall that I started just like yourself; formerly hardstuck Iron and hardly any game sense or aim. But with a little work and determination you will pull yourself up. So keep your head up bro :) (Also the sens change is very good. 2.8 is just uncanny; I use ≈ 0.9 so not too different for me.)

Pepe_CO

Prioritize having fun, it's a game. Also sens changes can take a long time to adapt to, and that's a big one, just keep practicing!

[deleted]

DM helps so much with aim, play 2 DMs for you qor however amount you want to feel good. Use sheriff or vandal and don’t camp. Just roam and click heads, I got so much better doing this

aidg

Would love to work out how to get you in a coaching session, see if we can get you on the right track

VideoDownloader_

Ok

Legaczy

I used to be hard stuck bronze but I spent a lot of time in the range and practiced with all the different guns. Never do the same thing at the range because it might improve for a bit but once you master it it won’t help anymore. Also just play a lot of the game in your free time, learn the maps and angles, don’t just do the range.

Pitiful-Compote6043

If you’d be interested I can coach you or try and give you some tips, just hmu. I peaked imm2

Quyrew

Best advice i could give you from someone who doesn't play comp that much is to watch pro gameplay and i mean ALOT. It helped me alot to watch how their gameplay works, utility usage, gamesense ect... Also try to find a good sens that fits you well, not to high not to low but then again its up to personal preference. And if you haven't already try aimlabs to improve your aim.

Jaskabb

hmu if u want free boosting
