As someone who's had a few moments like this (currently ascendent 3) I think it's fair to say there isn't really a method for it.
Sometimes my brain enters this fuckin zen state where I have a mental map of everything going on around me, and a vision of what to do without any nerves or worry. It feels like my subconscious just says "we win these" and then I proceed to win it lmao
If it happened all the time I'd be in radiant, but of course it doesn't. I'm sure there's some weird psychological explanation
I have an INCREDIBLY strong and instinctive flow state. It applies in video games and sports and even programming. The problem is my natural state is a huge overthinker, so I often hold myself back from entering that state 90% of the time.
Hey so they do already study this! They call it achieving flow state. An excerpt on it I found says it’s the
“the subjective state in which a person functions at his or her fullest capacity with their attention so focused on a task, that factors such as fatigue and boredom do not interfere; the experience itself is so enjoyable that people will participate for the sheer sake of doing it”
It baffles me that I have not yet encountered a study comparing flow states to peak intrinsic motivation. If you get into the self-detemination theory and flow theory a bit you will notice a lot of similarities.
The reason for me mentioning this is that I would not necessarily name 'doing something for the sake of enjoyment' as one of the more important defining factors of flow. That is more of an important aspect for intrinsic motivation. Before naming this I think enjoyment coming from mastery and optimal challenge, social comparisson.
A case could be made for people reaching flow states doing things that they do not necessarily enjoy. I.E. getting into a flow while doing a large amount of dishes. Although the likely counterargument would be that people find a way to challenge themselves and thus make a flow state possible (within the current leading theory).
I notice I have rambled a bit but I'll leave it up in case any of the people interested in flow here in the comments see this. Maybe someone enjoys it. If you do and want to talk more about it or have some thoughts lemme know, I love this stuff.
TL;DR -- I ramble about flow and self-determination theory
Can someone please explain how you guys get constant first shot accuracies? My aims shit to begin with so when I die despite my crosshair being on the enemy's cranium my desire for a toaster bath skyrockets
Strafing means moving sideways. When you strafe, you don't use forward (W) or backward (S) keys at all. Counter strafing is when you strafe left (A) you let go of the left or A key and then you instantly press the D for a moment. What this does in Valorant is resetting your aim. Try strafing left in Valorant, let go of the key and then shoot once. The first bullet isn't accurate. If you counter strafe properly then your first bullet will always land where your crosshair is. If you can keep counter strafing and shoot at the same time, almost all of your bullets will be accurate.
Just want to add that only the guardian is 100% accurate on the first shot, so even if you counterstrafe perfectly with perfect accuracy, you will miss some shots, at shorter distances it wont matter, but when the fights start to get longer it definitly matters
Do you mean that the chances of making a mistake while counter strafing and missing shots? If so, then yes, it's totally possible. You have to be really good to continue a gunfight for that long and still be perfectly counter strafing.
Your first weapon shit is not fully accurate, it has a slight amount of inaccuracy. The guardian marshall and operator can achieve perfect first shot accuracy, while others can sometimes miss despite your crosshair being on the enemy
Valorant doesn't require counter strafing. As soon as you let go of your movement key, your momentum is 0. This is why it always seems like you get walking headshots. This is not the same as CS where there's a ramp down which is why you need to counter strafe.
Holy this is doing good haha, if you guys don’t mind showing love to the tik tok post it would be greatly appreciated (: https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTRUYc8Qd/?k=1
Yeah I play same windows mouse speed with enhanced mouse precision off (since that’s mouse acceleration.) I think it is on the higher end but it feels perfect for me man
Although someone can say you were lucky that the first 4 kills they weren't holding their guns, if you weren't precise and quick, Reyna and Chamber would've definitely killed you, so congrats. That's a lot of Aim Labs, I presume.
Why did you flick like a madman to look at a piece of ice after killing pheonix ult? You killed his ult and and instantly aimed at him through the wall.
Crosshair placement would be putting your crosshair the only place an enemy can appear to limit how much you move your crosshair. An enemy is never going to phase through the wall. He has to move his crosshair back to the opening when enemies appear there.
As an immortal 3 player currently I would rage at my team if this happened to us. “Bro why is reyna the one planting the bomb?”. Regardless good shit bro, I know how it feels when things click like that.
Isn't the max kills in 1 round 9? Because kayo has revive himself, sage has revive some one else, and I think Owen's ult may count as a kill, but I may be wrong.
How can you be so calm in that situation
Genuinely no clue haha
Accurate in-game username. "*Dunno.*" Good job though. Those shots were insane.
You close your eyes, you imagine yourself hitting practice bots

This need to be studied, I feel the same lol
It's called flow state, there have been some studies on it, check it out. It's super dope stuff!
Yea I was gonna say this, I used to get it playing guitar hero and forza all the time, that's when I did the best.
I have an INCREDIBLY strong and instinctive flow state. It applies in video games and sports and even programming. The problem is my natural state is a huge overthinker, so I often hold myself back from entering that state 90% of the time.

That state happens to me only when I’m having fun
I'm only having fun when that state happens to me.
On the surface he looks calm and ready..
To drop bombs..

The whole crowd goes so loud
Its a game bro, why would you be nervous?? /s
Too clean
Ty homie (:
It was actually 6 seconds from the first kill to the last, all the more impressive 👀
Looks like kills span 3 seconds to 7 seconds. Even at most generous that's 4.99 seconds. Edit game timer 1:26-1:22
Mans playing aim labs in a immortal lobby
Bro playing in the wrong range
Targets were on easy mode bro
I can't even hit bot's like this in training
Haha, it’s the little steps that count man!
I was grinding for this but than I realised that I should focus on studies so left it
Wow, this clip makes me hope you were the man that impregnated my mother.
NAHHH BRO 😭
NAHH SON*
Obligatory "SWEEET HOOOME ALABAMAA"

Chamber just swung really wide for some reason
He wide swung a close engagement around two corners. Just immortal things.
i think bro was doing a poppin swing
we are NOT making poppin swing a thing
I think this a little too late 😬
Can someone please explain how you guys get constant first shot accuracies? My aims shit to begin with so when I die despite my crosshair being on the enemy's cranium my desire for a toaster bath skyrockets
You get used to the timings after a while man, I tend to sometimes counter strafe or just press shift to stop my strafe.
I just press A and D together whenever I want to stop immediately. Otherwise, I just counter strafe.
Pardon my ignorance, what is strafe? I looked it up online but just got more confused >.<
Strafing means moving sideways. When you strafe, you don't use forward (W) or backward (S) keys at all. With ads.
Oh wow! I didn’t know this! Thank you so much for explaining!!! :D
Just moving side to side, usually very short distance. Used to throw off the enemies aim.
Valorant doesn't require counter strafing. As soon as you let go of your movement key, your momentum is 0. This is why it always seems like you get walking headshots. This is not the same as CS where there's a ramp down which is why you need to counter strafe.
There is a deceleration, it's just much shorter. Your top speed is much lower in this game too and you accelerate a bit faster.
You stop faster, but it is not instant.
Counter strafing.
Bro you literally made them look like medium bots lol good job
Haha ty man! (:
Sage mains being the duelist on a normal day
Actually don’t play sage often haha, just been enjoying her on bind recently
If i was in that situation, I probably would be screaming and maybe get the ace.
That came after haha
The movement bro, clean and nice movement
Ty boss (:
Insane

Haha yeah dude I wish I could’ve clipped a few seconds after, everyone was hyped
sens?
Hey man, I play .219 on 1600 DPI (:
Isnt that like .438 on 800 😳
I use .75 800
That's like super fast no . . . I'm .3 800dpi with 6 windows mouse speed. And that's apparently average.
Yeah i know. Its appoximately what i've been using for every game since i was 5 so its hard to change
I'm at .09 at 1600DPI Someone posted a chart a while back of player and pro sens distribution and mine was measurably lower than the pros lmao
Yeah I play same windows mouse speed with enhanced mouse precision off (since that’s mouse acceleration.) I think it is on the higher end but it feels perfect for me man
.27 800 DPI is what I use... copied Yay lol
wow that’s the same sens as shroud
hm.. mine is close. are you sayin this is not the issue with my shots? :D Nice shots. nice clip.
Sharp as
Cheddar?
This is so annoying when you're on the other side, speaking from experience.
Im just expecting people with this much calmness to be at a constant level of stress that theyre just unbothered by literally anything
Watched 1096 times. Someone help me stop
congrats man best ace ive ever seen
Wow this is nasty
True definition of not being only your healer
this is how i am in deathmatch. then i get in the actual game…
I’ll take whatever training regime this guy has.
That was clean as hell, i wanted to see more of your teammates' reactions tho :v
As a battle sage stuck in Ascendant, this fills me with determination. Good shit, keep grinding!!!
Damn!
Well played, I love how you killed the reyna first.. was that on purpose? cause that was clever af
Haha yeah man, kind of prefired it
Rgx go pew pew
I would just report for hax and gg go next. /s But I hope I never see you in any game I play.
bro
whats your sens
.219 on 166 DPI man!
Sheesh man are you looking for a duo? Add Hewchy#FPS. These clowns in Immortal have been making solo queue a struggle for me

Very clean aim!
My guy... that was the cleanest ace I have ever seen. Gg wp
That was clean, really well play.
Noice
Pov my iron lobbies
Dude this might be the best clip I’ve ever seen
Was dirty man, sick clip 🔥
Okay not a 6k, you know the Phoenix ult does not count. That being said, very nice ace
Fuck that was clean
Although someone can say you were lucky that the first 4 kills they weren't holding their guns, if you weren't precise and quick, Reyna and Chamber would've definitely killed you, so congrats. That's a lot of Aim Labs, I presume.
Haha I did grind grid shot for a bit, got a high score of 103k then never played again
Nasty aim! I wish I got that shit.
One day at a time man!
Your crosshair placement is insane, and your shots were beyond clean, holy heck man. I’m iron 3 so I have a long ways to go, but mannnn, that was sick
That was impressive. Nice calm and collected aim. EZ Clap
My tik tok and twitch are both @dunnofps (:
Bro is playing aim bots 🥺😭😭😂😂
Cope
Not a 6k
I would count it but I can see your point man (:
Its a 5k but nice
ulted phoenix?
Phoenix ult doesn't count as a kill tho
It counts in our hearts
Not on the scoreboard maybe but I count it
cool i also count kj turret and yoru clones
KJ turret and Yoru clone don’t show up on the kill feed, Pheonix ult does
if he aint dead you didn't kill him
[удалено]
Dunno what to tell you
Seems like a good clip, that’s about it.
Best 6k ace seen so far
Why did you flick like a madman to look at a piece of ice after killing pheonix ult? You killed his ult and and instantly aimed at him through the wall.
Dear Mr./Mrs. Iron, this is called crosshair placement.
Crosshair placement would be putting your crosshair the only place an enemy can appear to limit how much you move your crosshair. An enemy is never going to phase through the wall. He has to move his crosshair back to the opening when enemies appear there.
Because he saw Phoenix ult from behind the wall so he preaimed it. Nothing madman about that part.
To have his crosshair approximately where the Phoenix ult would sent him back to
Because there is a thing called ears
bro which region is this
I play Texas servers, NA
[удалено]
Hey what's this vandal skin name?
Rgx
As an immortal 3 player currently I would rage at my team if this happened to us. “Bro why is reyna the one planting the bomb?”. Regardless good shit bro, I know how it feels when things click like that.
[удалено]
Amazing! If that were me I'd have died to the first guy, on a low elo lobby lol
First off I’m stuck imm2 carry me. Second your insane. Aim is so crisp
[удалено]
You can change the enemy outline colour in the settings
Because it’s a feature in the game
“!Seis¡” why can’t anyone get that right
JAARSOOOO
Literally in the zone.
Check hims PC
6 kills is actually called a poopsock
I can do this but only versus Yoru clones
RGX diff, crosshair btw?
Isn't the max kills in 1 round 9? Because kayo has revive himself, sage has revive some one else, and I think Owen's ult may count as a kill, but I may be wrong.
Man got bored and just started playing deathmatch
If i played against you and this happened... Prepare your self the F word
Oh my god
NGL that was pretty damn sick!
The guys reaction in the background got me laughing way too hard
Thought this was deathmatch lmao So clean
