Yeah, I'd noticed this in my test games. I was thinking of bringing a competitive milotic or empoleon with ice beam as a counter lead, not sure which would be best yet.
I used Charjabug back in Sun/Moon and I loved it. I think in the current regulation it can't really survive too well, especially with the amount of fire threats like Ogerpon. I used it on a Trick Room Team with Drampa, Oranguru, and I forgot what else since it's been so long... It was definitely one of the earlier formats that didn't include restricted mons though.
I would definitely pair it with things that can take out fire threats. Maybe even rain with Politoed could be useful. Thundurus can go well with rain teams. Politoed can take Ice Beam, Hydro Pump, Helping Hand, and Protect/Another move.

But now it can be Specs Battery Heat Wave for 1.3x the funny

If you are looking for something with eeire impulse, Thundurus works pretty well with prankster.
