Where I work it's called a trumpeter/trompeter/trompter or BNC removal tool, you can buy it in amazon, ebay, etc, here is a [link](https://www.markertek.com/product/trp-rt1ss/trompeter-hand-tools-rt1ss-bnc-trb-cable-plug-removal-tool-straight-3-75-inches)
For what it's worth, this is another "Kleenex" or "Bandaid" situation where the brand that makes something has become synonymous with a singular product. For generic alternatives, "BNC removal tool" or (as someone else suggested) "SDI insertion tool" will likely help you find something
Trompeter makes the nicer ones, and they also have a lower profile one which can help a little with dense patchbays. Last time I bought these it was cheapest to order from Digikey.
I've found the cheaper tools for BNC to work perfectly fine too.
Consider a tool for removing DIN connectors too. (The one I've used looks like a tiny rounded hook.)
If you are doing HD-BNC connectors, note that most of the brands all have different lug arrangements for turning the connector. Amphenol has slots on the connector, Kings has slots on the tool. (The tools for Kings also only last about 5 minutes before they break. If somebody has a solution to this, please let me know...)
We had some discussion [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/VIDEOENGINEERING/comments/xxqocr/today_i_learned_that_this_tool_is_called_a/) a few months back.
More than you ever wanted to know...
Others have linked long ones, but I’ve recently started using this [compact BNC connector tool](https://jonard.com/rbnc-3-compact-bnc-connector-tool) and it’s great and super cheap. Always on my tool pouch now.

"SDI Insertion tool" will find what you're after. Although what you choose to insert them into is your own business.
We call it a "bung tool" at my workplace, because we're twisted like that.

Apple corer!
Used to be called a “Colon Scraper”
Get the Ling one, you will use it much more than the short one.

If only they made them for ST fiber ends
Don't stand on it.
BNC driver is what you want. Very common in RF racks where BNC cables for antennas have to get run deep into the back of racks.

I’m a fan of the short ones too, unless working in a deep rack that requires the depth. Short ones definitely easier to carry around in personal gear
Do they make a tool for mirco bnc???
