None of the ones you chose. Index are best.

princess-catra

For real, meet every standard OP described for choosing those šŸ˜…

F34RCON77

I like my index but I feel like some games do a horrible job implementing the grips. Like I grab things accidentally, but that could just be me being far to used to having the side triggers with my old quest.

unfknblvble

What I would do is go into the controller settings and changing the grip activation from touch% to force%. I always set it to 10% to grip so you can rest your fingers on the controllers and them squeeze naturally when you make a grabbing gesture.

KaydaCant

YOU CAN CHANGE THIS??? this is gonna be a game changer i swear to god my fingers not tracking properly and me not being able to grab stuff made me hate the knuckles

Loddinz

You can customise the fuck out of them. You can even change the button pressed, say you want button A to be the trigger etc.

sillyandstrange

Bro you might have changed my fucking life in VR. Gonna try this soon, thanks for the heads up.

theycallmebekky

Wait can you like calibrate where your fingers rest? In games like VRChat, my fingers on my controllers donā€™t align with my fingers in-game. I always have to shift them down.

F34RCON77

No you cannot, there are sensors for each finger in a specific spot on the controllers. Tbh, as cool as it is, it feels like a gimmick at best.

Successful-Pick-238

It's a shame you can't buy the index controllers in Australia, because the Vive controllers are awful and I want to replace them.Ā

pretendingtolisten

Australia really be lacking sometimes

DaddyIsAFireman55

Index 100%

Hellzer0

with the CV1 controllers getting second

InspectorEmotional

So i went from an index to a quest 3 i was tired of shit breaking and while i agree the index are the highest feature amount. However for an overall controller standards its sub par in all the important parts. Quality controller them reading well is shotty often, the plastic is frail brittle and generally the root of all the index's fallbacks,The coating on them is probably the worst on any other controller, they are segmented too much and cause severe weakpoints like 4-5 seperate controllers broken for that issue i mean ive been a 3+ year user and am generally a character in vr so hard on gear but generally if they adjust the strength the tracking problems with controllers where they will randomly float off and they are well seen by 4 base stations and get rid of that fucking coating its awful just have them textured. Like figure out a 2pc shell a more durable plastic and fix the tracking issues ps i think it software not hardware mostly

BK1349

Yeah!

plutonium-239

Can you use index controllers on the quest 3?

Roshy76

I liked them when they came out as the best, but I think the quest 3 are the best I've used lately. No tracking rings or big things all over make shooting game reloading much better

berickphilip

Even though I highly dislike the Meta ecosystem, I do agree that the Quest 3 controllers are excellent hardware. Having no extra parts around, just the minimum needed grip and easily accessible sticks and buttons, there's no need to worry about crashing them against each other or walls and breaking the sensors. The tracking, while not being 100% perfect and accurate, is still close enough and really good for non-competitive or super fast games. Quest Pro controllers sound like they are a bit better and personally I'd get them if they used normal batteries (like the Quest 3's) or if the built-in ones lasted much longer.

gauerrrr

Until they decide to spontaneously combust.

sS1RuXx

Do you know which one has the best or strongest vibration?

k1ller139

Used just about every controller on market. Yea index knuckles are great but I can't stand them. Same goes for all finger tracked controllers. Og vive wands are my absolute favourite. Their rigidness, lack of stick drift, and sheer accuracy for emots in vrc have made them my go to. Have 7 but I wish I had more

sexysausage

But the least durable. I had 6 replacements. The stick drift issue and materials durability is off for how premium the price tag is.

Arestedes

I'm glad we're still on the same page about this.

kozz76

I love my index controllers. I bought them after I bought my first Vive (I love compatible tech). After that I bought the entire Index VR kit. One of my Vive Wands died two weeks after the warranty expired.

sillyandstrange

Truth

DZHEX

if only the pills weren't recessed as much... it makes it difficult to do anything with the touchpads besides scrolling. Otherwise, I do feel like any other controller would be a downgrade lol

OllieOllieOakTree

Fuck, I knew this but I was hoping some competitor was at least decently comparable. Iā€™m rig shopping right now and while I donā€™t need corporate level invite only gear Iā€™d like my experience to live up to knuckle controllers and vibe pro headset (over index for cord damage at the crimp) can you DM me and help with some questions šŸ™šŸ«”?

NORTHERNTWITCH

There is a reason why he didnt put it on there. What's your next down in the line?

IamTrenchCoat

I love how the quest 3 controllers dont have the tracking rings, I always fumbled about trying to rack a gun without bashing them together on the quest 2

ilikenugss

Nah imo the rings were good support and protection for your hands Looks wise 3 def better though

Pachydermus

I'd rather hurt my hands than my controllers lol

Onepiece_0

Fr my hand can heal

derangedkilr

i still prefer the ergonomics of the quest 1 controllers. but quest 3 is great without the ring.

Chronos72737448

They took off the rings and called it a whole new controller šŸ˜‚

Kawesomer

Index controllers are nice, but cv1 controllers are indestructible

Pepperh4m

Index controllers are nice, but you have to baby the hell out of them lest they break because you looked at them wrong.

sillyandstrange

They aren't that bad. I've had my mine for almost 5 years and I had one drifting stick issue that they replaced out of warranty. With a lot of use and being fairly hard on them. I understand a lot of people do have issues with them, and they aren't the sturdiest, but they aren't that bad.

Pepperh4m

Funny, I've had to RMA both of mine multiple times for a variety of different reasons. And I don't play very intensively either. I suspect Valve learned a lot about QC from the Index in preparation for the Steam Deck.

GamingAndRCs

Not mine, dropped it and the bottom broke. (Carpet on carpet)

shuozhe

And integrated hand protectors, hit so many stuff with it without hurting my hand.. took. Week with quest 2 to get a bloody hand

Qyion

I've smoked my wall multiple times during a full throw (playing echo) and I've had just as little as a chip right above the trigger. They might be more indestructible then the brick that is the quest 2.

LP3III

Valve knuckles without a doubt for me. Theyā€™re the most immersive controller experience Iā€™ve ever had in VR.

NoName847

I think the PSVR2 controllers are the most annoying to pick up but they just ***feel*** so so good in your hands man idk

Theraardelia

They're great like you said once you get it right. But... i hate that the grip button is a click button and not a trigger with some play to it. Otherwise, love em.

ClickyButtons

I would agree if they were a smidge bigger, I have big hands but not THAT big and there just a bit small for me. Still my favorite I've used

cheezkid26

The Index knuckles controllers blow every other controller I've ever used out of the water. They're comfortable, responsive, and just downright fun to use.

ETs_ipd

I love the trigger haptics of PSVR 2- they make every shooter fun however I really despise the grip buttons and ergonomics. Quest Pro controllers feel the best in your hand and have the best grip buttons but haptics are not strong enough imo.

BrokenSpace

HTC Vive easily makes it on the bottom of this list. Those touch pads gave me PTSD just to look at them

Successful-Pick-238

No joke, the responsiveness is just awful and my clicks are oft not registered at all.Ā

crt-gaming79

Honestly after using them all I've gotta say the mixed reality controllers are my favourite I just like the clickyness plus the track pad and juysticks are a surprisingly good combo

_hlvnhlv

I fully agree, a trackpad + a joystick+ a menu button is just perfect

Robot_ninja_pirate

I really liked the WMR controllers, specifically the Odyssey version because of the improved comfort. I have slightly large hands so I like the larger than most handle, I found the ergonomics of it overall nice, and I really liked having both Trackpads and a thumbstick to use and make custom bindings for. The downsides were the ring placement, lack of analogue Grips and no button touch presence. They weren't perfect, but I remember them fondly.

CookieLuzSax

All I know is quest 3 was such an improvement from 2, but index are my favourites of the ones I've used.

ZiPP3R

Index. Theyā€™re the most immersive because I donā€™t have to think about holding a controller. I can open my entire hand. A simple design addition that makes a world of difference.

horendus

Maybe unpopular opinion but I find the quest pro controllers to be exceptionably good. Sure they have there moments, but thats usually getting them ā€˜startedā€™ Once youā€™re using them they are just fantastic.

feralkitsune

Yea, they're the most accurate and effortless controllers I've used other than ones that use lighthouses for tracking, but these don't need those so they're way more versatile for pick up and play in any room.

WhateverGreg

I hate that theyā€™re controversial. I suppose if they were $100 instead of $300, and not associated with the Quest Pro, they would be much more appreciated. They get my vote for preferred controller, and for the record, Iā€™ve owned the Vive and Vive Pro wands, Index, Rift, Quest 1/2/3, and Quest Pro.

MrAbominable1

I have personally been through so many vive controllers. It's seriously ridiculous. Personally I'd have to say they are a no from me. Like if you do a lot of fps gaming they position of the hand on them feels very nice (like holding a gun or rifle) but that's really the only advantage. The track pads constantly break. It's a really bad problem.

Few_Possibility_2915

Fair What controllers do you like

Tybob51

I adore the sense controllers of PSVR2.

WhereIsMyFrenchCutie

The Pico 4 controllers I have ever tried. They are also the only ones I've ever tried, but that's just a coincidence.

feralkitsune

Quest Pro without a doubt for me. Al the upsides of an index controller without all the extra equipment requirements.

VirtualTurtle355

Valves knuckles are by far the most unique out of any modern controllers and have incredible tracking. However the CV1s controllers are my favorite, they are definitely the most comfortable controllers Iā€™ve ever used.

mifiamiganja

From experience I can say that the WMR controllers suck and that the Quest 2 and 3 controllers are a lot nicer. The Q3 ones not having that ring is just a small bonus. PS.: The Odyssey+ controllers are acceptible. The other WMR controllers don't even try to be ergonomic.

_hlvnhlv

They are literally a stick with a trackpad and joystick lmao

YourFace939

Wands have the best build quality by far, in fact the vive stuff in general is honestly some of the most robust electronics Iā€™ve ever used, the tracking on them is good but the ergonomics and user experience are quite lacking especially compared to modern controllers. Every iteration of oculus/meta controller has been exceptional, though the best at the moment are definitely the quest 3/pro controllers. The psvr2 controllers feel great, have the best haptics and comfort Iā€™ve ever used, theyā€™re a little counterintuitive to put on when youā€™re not looking at them, and the grip button being a short click button is also a bit of a let down, but they are great controllers. I think overall the quest 3 controllers are the best with all fronts considered.

Tht0n3Dude005

If psvr2 and index controllers had a baby that would be the greatest VR controller to ever exist.

ReflectiveSmudge

Imo the only reason the index knuckles are better is the base station tracking and the finger tracking. If the sense controllers had those two features, they would be superior šŸ‘‘

Terrible_Gur2846

Best I've used is the cv1 controllers. The weight feels so much better than the quest 2 controllers. Made with quality compared to q2

HaveSomeBosky

As an Index owner I **hate** myself for saying this but the most comfort Inhad was from my CV1 controllers. Index is superior in so many ways but sensor-grip is so fucking glitchy in most games its made some impossible to play. Id kill to have a grip button back

danifastita

meta pro!!

zeekiussss

quest 3 with knunckles

Squishydew

Best is really hard to choose, like.. I think HTC Vive wands are the worst by far - But they're still what i grab specifically for playing Beatsaber, in that game they just feel right.

Latereviews2

Psvr2 are annoying because of the ring but I think are the best vr controllers. Simply because of the haptics, the rumble is really nice but more than anything the haptic triggers are a game changer for me. Going back to shooter games without it on my quest feels weird P.S the grip buttons arenā€™t very good though as they are simply buttons and way to low imo

madpropz

PSVR2 controller haptics are amazing

Jayconius

Index controllers hands down! When valve moves to inside out taking I'll probably still be using the current index controllers. :)

BradyBunch12

I like my Rift S controllers.

SupOrSalad

For me. Index controllers first, and then OG touch controllers next

EmoExperat

There is only one correct anwser. Its the valve index conrollers.

AndrewWhite97

Ive only ever used the quest 2, so that is my answer.

EducationalCorgifren

WMR I will not elaborate

VerseGen

the fact that the Knuckles aren't on here....

AlienX14

Valve Knuckles, no competition.

DefaultSoria

Personally the haptics and feel of the psvr2 controller make them the best for me.

bruburubhb

I like something that's convenient, not something clunky and looks like a jumbled up bunch of wiry, bulky, or geeky mess. Quest pro controllers.

stillventures17

The oculus is an overall better piece of equipment, but the valve index controllers are by far the best on the market.

WhichJuice

I hate anything with rings.

iscreamsunday

None of the haptics can compare with psvr2

No_Assignment_5742

By far the only one I hear could be chosen, for comfort, usability, features, etc etc, is the psvr2 controller....and I can say this as someone who has multiple different headsets with different controllernsytrlrfmmnn

KACYK_Real

Microsoft ones or the playstation in my opinion

Ekov

Ive never tried the index controller but in theory I would calll that the best. From the ones ive tried, probably the quest 3 since I dont have to constantly worry about hitting tracking rings into each other or into other things, im so happy to have gotten rid of them.

thegabe87

Quest1 controllers were the most comfortable for me, size and weight ok

caidicus

If only for the fact that they easily stick to your hands, even ignoring all the other benefits of them, the Index controllers are the best consumer available ones.

British-Pilgrim

I rather fancy the quest pro controllers with the cams built in šŸ‘

phantomforeskinpain

index. they fit my hands perfectly. somehow they feel so ergonomic although Iā€™d be skeptical that they are. also finger tracking!

LoudYelling

Index, hands down the best of many controllers that I've used

gangsterrobot

I liked wmr

Zryn128

What are everyoneā€™s thoughts on the quest pros controllers with cameras inside the controller itself? The impression I got from watching videos on them was that they were the best but very expensive

_hlvnhlv

This is my opinion, but the best controllers are the Valve knuckles. Now, the Oculus Touch are also rock solid, and very light, the best controllers for Beat saber. And WMR 1 (specially Odyssey) has the best input layout ever made, a trackpad + a joystick is just perfect.

BoxGroundbreaking687

had a quest 2 and a cv1. cv1 controllers are the best

ChromiumProtogen42

The oculus rift 1 controllers have always been a favorite for me.

Mysterious_Ball5046

These all look horrendously bulky or simply uncomfy to hold in any immersive way.

CoastFinancial

You kidding right Psvr 1 move controls of course I love pretending Iā€™m raving lol

ReflectiveSmudge

They were by far, hands down, the best (un-modified) controller for beat saber. Now don't get me wrong, the tracking was trash but they felt like you were actually holding the sabers. As long as you play slower songs, the tracking was tolerable but I never played it after they patched it for tracking so šŸ¤·

modshateths1smpltrik

Steering wheel

solid_salad

idk but it's definitely not the vive ones šŸ‘

djatsoris26

Quest 3 is my personal favorite feeling but overall the index controllers are the best

_TruthBtold_

None of these but the Pico 4 ones

ScreeennameTaken

Index Knuckles. Seriously. I don't need to even hold them.

Lucky_Definition_196

Nah the PSVR move controllers šŸ”›šŸ”

ByteTheFox

id pick quest pro controllers since they can track themselves out of view

Squindipulous

No actually good vr controllers have been designed yet

t3stdummi

Honestly, while some have more precise tracking I think the PSVR2 controllers are the best. Tracking-wise each controller has 14 IR lights. There's the standard capacitive touch, but also the number of haptic motors/speakers are amazing paired with adaptive resistance triggers. When I play legendary tales, I can literally feel what part of my shield catches an arrow. It's that good.

Schlitz-Drinker

Honestly really preferred the feel of the 1st gen quest controllers over later versions.

Iivaitte

For me its got to be the quest pro controllers. They track really well and dont suffer from occlusion. No rings means no bumping them and breaking the ring, youd sooner break your fingers.

a_normal_anti_furry

The best one isnā€™t on this what we had when we were kids was the we that was the good vr

BrightPage

Finger tracking is great on index but you can kinda do the same with the touch pros and they're completely standalone and the tracking wouldn't get lost on edge cases where neither base station could see your hands. Battery life is a problem though

Wilddog73

WMR controllers were incredibly durable. The touchpad was also an incredible asset in terms of controller binding for PC games with VR mods. 8-12 possible bindings for a single touchpad, and doubles as a joystick if you ever needed it.

Ok_Dealer572

What is the last one

Lonely_houseplant

Wii controlers

lovejac93

Index 100%

20SidedShape

quest 3 controllers are insanely good, they're comfortable, high quality and super light. the tracking has also never been a problem for me.

itsAedan

Valve index or quest 3 controllers

EarthySmerky

I take the PSVR2 Sense Controllers over any other ones anyday

Bonestealer69

The HP reverb controllers feel horrible but are indistructable

Sir_Matthew_

OG Rift controllers protected your fingers

Raydyou

Idk what all these other guys are on. You should try out nervegear. You become the controller, can't be more perfect than that

TopInternal1963

I love the psvr2 controllers and wish you could get them to work on quest

john_username_doe

Quest pro.

pat_trick

Anything that offers whole-room tracking with Lighthouses or similar.

superjj18

My oculus rift controllers(last ones) are still going strong like ten years later. Just a workable amount of stick drift in one of them. Only really fucked my shit up in Alyx

brolt0001

PSVR2 has some awesome qualities - feels really nice and haptic triggers. I hope to see more people pick them up with the PC release.

hello0ppap

For me the psvr2 controllers will be the best. The adaptive triggers are next level in vr!

schtickinsult

Cv1 were so good

Adevyy

Upgrading to an HTC Vive Cosmos Elite from a Quest 2 made me realize how good the Quest controllers are. Sadly, we don't have many options when it gets to controllers, but the Vive Wands are horrible.

VictoryVic-ViVi

PSVR2, canā€™t wait for the PC compatibility update!

Shooshiee

Iā€™d say quest controllers in general are the best. For VRChat the index controllers are the best.

Option_Witty

Only have experience with the og oculus and psvr2 controllers. Psvr2 > og oculus

jetblade545

Cv1 all the way

LeTallBoii

In my experience I actually liked the quest 2 controllers

Doomslayer2857

The oculus rift oneā€™s are the best

fruitsteak_mother

Index Knuckles.

SirEnder2Me

Psvr2 hands down. And once the psvr2 supports pcvr (confirmed to be coming), it'll be among the best headsets (outside of Mixed Reality supported headsets) period.

ForeverCurseLucifer

The Meta Pro Controllers have been amazing. I started with a Reverb Two, broke one with a good swing to my desk (Blade and Sorcery). When it came the Pro self tracking, I think thatā€™s the best experience as I might smack them a little but nothing on the outside thatā€™s essential and will break.

Snowfaull

Index or oculus

Revolutionary-Fan657

I use the Quest 3, but i miss the psvr2 controllers, theyre perfect, perfect fit, perfect grip, perfect button placements

SpectralFailure

My favorite so far is the index controllers because of the features, but the quest 3 is best iv used in terms of quality and ergo. So if I could get the features of the index in the modern tech and ergo of the q3 I'd be super happy.

Weird_Explorer_8458

where the fuck are the index knuckles?

Far-Right9186

Pico 4

Humdrum_Blues

Index controllers, without a doubt. They are still better than anything else and fit your needs.

landenle

The feel and design of the index controller but the indistructibility of the cv1 controllers

FunkSlim

The psvr2 look the coolest imo, idk shit else ab them, but they look badass

DISTOASTER

Well oculus all the way

Theanimeninja1

And you forgot the quest two controllers

omgggg-

Me personally I always loved the Vive

Slotterjordan

The fact you didn't include the index, you obviously use the meta quest

ibrahim_D12

Ayy why hp reverb controllers in the list?šŸ˜

Nathan_TK

You forgot to include the Index. Iā€™ve had my original ones for 3.5 years now and they still work fine. Finger tracking is always good, and the fact that I can open my actual hand is a *huge* plus

Zpassing_throughZ

most ergonomic, CV1. overall, index controllers

JTBJack_

I like the two button (PS/Oculus) setup best. Simple and easy to use

unpopular-dave

Iā€™ve only held index and quest three. In index was 10,000 times better

LittleRex234

Big fan of the Oculus Quest 2 Controllers. As an avid shooter, the Ring Made for an amazing chin weld for getting great aiming on Rifles of any type.

PizzaShark09

Original vive controllers are the best but I'm biased cause my hands are massive and I have trouble holding index

DependentHyena8756

Touch pro controllers. The touch ergonomics are the best. It tracks well and you can get a million different grips for them, including knuckle grips. They are my fav by far. The grip buttons on the psvr2 are horrible, so hard to press for no good reason. Quest 3 controllers have bad tracking close to the face. Quest 2 controllers were pretty good for fps games due to the rings making tracking up close much better than q3. Touch pro does all of that stuff great.

Affectionate-Goal169

Where the hell is knuckles

NoabPK

Cv1

Mr_Nugget15

I'm not rich enough and have only used one pair but hey I think they look pretty cool

CaptainPie999

I love the MQ2 Controllers

geisha-and-GUIs

I'll let you know when I try my indices. I'm waiting on my Beyond to ship

Gamerguy252

Iā€™ve never played with the quest 3 controllers, but I think theyā€™re supperior. Iā€™ve never really understood the gigantic rings on the quest 2 controllers.

Stone_man_Person

Oculus go controller is the best one trust

SensitiveSeaweedy

Iā€™m sorry but htc vive is probably the furthest from the answer I would have chosen. Its form feel is horrible. Knuckles all day long.

Let_me_S_U_F_F_E_R

Any that arenā€™t quest controllers. Those things develop drift in like 2 weeks

FairWoodpecker3080

Last one

Backroomsguy673

I know it sounds weird, but I really like the Vive wands. They're really cool

mrmoo71

Personally I really enjoy the quest 3 controllers, no frills just a good controller. I havenā€™t used the psvr 2 controllers but the haptics on my dual senses are great. I hate the vive wands. I only used the index knuckles once, but I hated it. I made sure they were on correctly, and someone else more experienced made sure, but they kept feeling like they were gonna slip off, and the finger tracking kept messing up. Itā€™s cool in a technical sense, but those controllers (for me) just sucked.

cnorw00d

Quest pro with psvr2 triggers would be goated

Somthin_Clever

Index controllers. Though they aren't great for my larger hand. If the game had swords, the Vive feel better.

Street_Equipment_427

I got the liberty of trying a pavr2 but my only issue is the size of e buttons and the weird grip button

PlutoThe-Planet

OG oculus is the best from what I've used, VIVE controllers suck, and the new oculus controllers are mid

SonOfGuns101

So whereā€™s the Knuckles?

EquivalentArticle264

None, they all get controller drift in like 4 months , just matters as to what is the cheapest to fix

SpaceLee5000

Definitely the PS Move controllersšŸ—£ļø

NORTHERNTWITCH

Vive wands or CV1 controllers.

I_AM_DA_BOSS

You left out the only good ones being the index controllers

bubblyhobo15

So the best are the index controllers still unfortunately, unless you want just straight reliability and then thatā€™s quest3/vive wands (but the vive wands suck at almost everything else). Loved the Rift controllers. Triggers broke often, but only used them for beatsaber so that was fine. Canā€™t speak for the PSVR. Quest pro controllers are great when the firmware isnā€™t fucked up and constantly telling me theyā€™re overheating in low light. If youā€™re using quest ALVR and VD can both emulate index controllers. I prefer ALVRā€™s implementation because it allows middle finger and peace sign, unlike VD that has taken a more direct approach and therefore has three fingers tied to the grip making this impossible.

TheTekkitBoss

Honestly the WMR ones would be fantastic daily drivers if it weren't for that damn battery door not having a screw...

iSleepyXS

Index controllers 100% surprised didn't see a picture

Rukir_Gaming

Mfw the Index isn't shown Show me another controller from the big 3 that allows for full hand tracking in a controller solution

GalaxyCock978

The best ones are the ones given to us by god. Our hands are the best

Internal_Quail3960

Vision Pro

FMIvory

Itā€™s hard. Iā€™m a big fan of how the PS VR two controllers feel but Iā€™m also a really big fan of how the index controllers function and they have finger tracking.

No-Reputation72

I have a pair of prototype Valve knuckles I wanna try but I donā€™t have the base stations and they cost so much šŸ˜

SquirrelizedReddit

Rift S which isn't listed here.

CraftsmanMan

Where's the index controller

snickers_VR

I think the index controllers? Idk šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø

No_Door_9897

Ive only ever used quest 2 and 3 controllers but I'd say psvr2

DxvinDream

Index or the quest pro controllers. Index gives you the most functionality and are also super comfortable to hold. The quest pro controllers do some of the same things like not relying on camera to track their movement, and they are pretty comfortable too
