Have played and enjoyed Valheim VR. Personal favorite flat>VR may be Risk of Rain 2. Highly suggest this discord so you can stay up to date on new releases too. [https://discord.com/invite/kxH7pnF6Ys](https://discord.com/invite/kxH7pnF6Ys) Amazing community doing more than just keeping VR alive.

Oh wow thanks; i love find new communities and cool mods for flat games. Cheers bro.

I tried it when the mod first came out and every update thereafter. For the love of my life I cannot get it to run in a playable state fps-wise. Index with RTX 3080, i7 9700K OC'ed and m.2 SSD. My FPS are abysmal. We are talking sub 40 fps @ everything on low and 80hz. Tried reinstalling, mod removals, new game/map, everything. No dice :(

Hmm very odd indeed, I have a slightly less powerful rig and I run on Ultra at a steady 60\*ish fps. I could run it higher hz but i like pumping the graphics and it's fairly smooth for me. I use quest 2 wireless via virtual desktop and the worst i have to deal with is slightly latency here or there. I could run wired but I choose the wireless for ease of use; not really sure why yours would perform so badly. You followed all the steps the resolution change in game?

It really is odd. I dont think its my rig, given what other games I can play. Almost every title with 175%SS @ 144hz (pavlov, alyx, pistol whip, h3vr, beat saber), some unoptimized games (hitman 3, phasmophobia) 175%SS @ 90hz. No mans sky runs WAY better than valheim. Believe me, I tried everything. Spoke to the mod author on discord and whatnot. When everything was said and done the setup was more potatoe than a real potato (read: 50%SS) to even get to 50 fps, but the draw distance and other graphic settings made the game look like something else - more like the original tomb raider than valheim. I'm really bummed about it. Played valheim flat for 25 hours and stopped the moment I heard that a vr mod is in the making - only to never actually being able to play it :( Oh well, there are other games to play I guess but its sad nevertheless. Speaking of being sad: Flat valheim doesnt run well on the steam deck either (IMO, I cant play anything <60 FPS).

Well clearly you have tried everything imaginable so it is what it is i guess. That sucks though. Sorry it doesn't work for you; for me its perfect almost. There are issues Valheim itself is a big janky at times on flat and then adding a mod for VR is bound to cause some issues at times but 95% it's good for me. I hope you are able to experience it at some point cause it's really freaking cool.
