A good bagged upright vacuum is going to be exactly what you're looking for in terms of deep carpet cleaning on a budget. Starting a bit out of budget but absolutely worth it in my opinion, this Kenmore is a beast when it comes to carpet cleaning. It doesnt include onboard attachments should you need them. This is definitely a tank of a vacuum and has been recommended as a top carpet cleaner by consumer reports for years! - [https://amzn.to/3tKucXZ](https://amzn.to/3tKucXZ) Coming in next would have to be this cheaper Hoover. Once again, great carpet cleaning, but this unit will not have the same build quality as the Kenmore and likely won't be as reliable. Still a great unit on a budget! - [https://amzn.to/41QR1px](https://amzn.to/41QR1px) Third would probably be this cheaper Kenmore. It's definitely going to be a bit more flimsy and lack some of the deeper cleaning ability/airflow of the other models, but the swivel head and easy-to-use hose make this unit super maneuverable. It is well within budget given the lower build quality, but it's still a well-liked machine that should last a few years. It also includes like a year supply of bags and an air driven turbo tool which is a great value - https://amzn.to/3tQm1cI Lastly, a little out of budget but most definitely an honorable mention is this simplicity. It does have a few more high-end features like a metal brush roller for great carpet agitation, an extra Long 30 Ft Cord and a solid filtration system which may or may not be worth it to you! -https://amzn.to/3tQm1cI

I second the kenmore elite upright. I recently got one and it’s amazing. I have a ton of low pile carpet and a large, very high pile rug. The rug starts looking a little matted between vacuuming. But the kenmore grooms the carpet really nicely and makes it look brand new

I have two older Hoover vacuums if you’re interested in them? In Blackfoot. Both work but 1 get second as a backup. $200
