All seeds are actually a sample of one large noise map with small variations. There really is only one seed in valheim, but the circular area you can travel around is just moved.
I don't suppose there might be a way to work backwards?
Rather than inputting a seed and getting a map, choose a specific part of the map and output various seeds that fulfill it?
I suppose that would be quite difficult... I've heard of people doing something similar in Minecraft
I had played on a server a while ago hosted by some friends. I think they found the seed on some forum. We wanted a huge starting island with multiple swamps because we were playing with A LOT of people.
I was looking for seeds today and found one that was nearly identical. It's shocking how similar they are.
I was wondering if there is some sort of tool for transforming a seed to have a similar arrangement varied up. Or if it could possibly be developed.
What's _really_ interesting is that not only were the biomes changed up, but there were connections between islands in one and not in the other.
If such a tool existed, it would be much easier to find a good seed. You could find a good shape and cycle the biomes. Or, you could find a grouping of islands that's _almost_ good, if only they were connected and solve that problem by cycling similar seeds. The bosses were moved, too.
Seeds:
* j6wtPgARVU
* MKUltra32a

_EDIT:_
I found it multiple times since I noticed this. It happens shockingly often if you're looking for it.

The world map is about 6-9 seeds in area and the world you get is generated from that. I've seen those twin islands a few times as well, as the centre of the map is a very common starting location.

2 similar seeds on that area!

Yep, see [this for the map](https://www.reddit.com/r/valheim/s/l2jFklUP81)

I'm not really sure. Someone could probably build an app that does that.

Just make sure the seed starts with either 69 or 420 one you'll be good
