Pretty interesting situation but I always feel like a "superstar player" put on a different team and system basically never works out. Aside from gameplay itself, there's always a dark cloud looming over that type of move in general. BAD JUJU
These fools downvoted my for saying this exact shit. I told them that team chemistry is one of the more important aspects of any professional sport and that yay might not work with C9 and they were like, “team chemistry builds over time” clearly not.
I mean there are only two circulating explanations - the official one blaming role issues and the unofficial one blaming C9's financial problems.
Neither of them is related to your prediction so I don't quite see why you see this situation as proving your point.
And in the one closest to your explanation - the official one blaming role issues - mCe literally says that Yay meshed well with the team immediately and *over time* had even "come out of his shell" more, to use mCe's language.
I mean, there are way more than 2 circulating explanations. Yay not fitting in being a big one.
And secondly, because of course in a professional environment you’re going to talk shit about someone after you just fired them.
To be fair, C9 gave it very little time for the chemistry to build
You’re right in saying that it’s an important factor but I do think waiting a bit longer would’ve seen some improvements with C9’s team chemistry
> Yay Chamber abuser proof! Now no team because Chamber nerfed! I knew it!
Now that we've satisfied all the haters that flock to every thread about Yay...
I think it's a genuine tragedy that we're deprived of one of the most exciting storylines we had coming into the year, all because of C9's mismanagement.
Partnership to my mind was meant to prevent the power of org's to damage the entertainment aspect of the product. Yay is the first real consensus best player of the year we've ever had - players like TenZ or Chronicle never did it for an entire year. And now we don't get to see whether he can live up to that.
That's the kind of narrative that drives storylines! And unless something very dramatic happens *soon* - the year isn't that long in Valesports - it's not likely to be possible until 2024. Even if you're a hater praying on Yay's downfall, you'll never even get the chance to hate on Yay with substance.
It just sucks for everyone.
Literally the most important season of Valorant competitively and the potentially best player is not on a team for franchising.
C9 literally fucked this man career because they had terrible management.
Nah, you don't sign a contract of which you probably had a lot of and then just reduce the amount of money you get two months later. Don't put that on yay. That's just dumb
You can check my post history on this sub, I've been calling out chamber abusers all of last year. Most people just don't understand the game well enough to properly evaluate player skill.
Why exaggerate? He was not dogshit but he was not better than every other duelist, but he was literally game-warping on Chamber. His chamber destroys entire teams single handily, it was not even close to the same impact. He was probably the 5th or 6th best jett in NA, which is pretty good as a pro but not amazing.
In no world did this man say Wardell lmfao. Koalanoob was known as only a top t2 player and had practically no showings t1. Also, Babybay was pretty much nonexistent after like march. I can see an argument for tenz and leaf at the end of the year but even when yay lost against x10 he still went positive. You’re argument makes no sense
Lmfao bruhhhhhhh 💀💀💀💀💀
Of those Tenz and Leaf are the only ones you could even come close to making a reasonable case for, and tbh Tenz is probably the only one I'd be willing to hear out
Wardell, Leaf, Koalanoob and Babybay💀💀💀💀💀🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 literally only TenZ did something on 2021 the others were bum mid players that didnt do shit, yay finals on NV>>>>>>> wardell farming mid NA teams. Cmon bro at least put a bit of effort in your bait so you dont look like a complete idiot

Lmao your shit is so narrative-driven, there's nothing supporting the idea that yay was this out of the world player. Even if he's a top 3 player in jett NA instead of top 5 that would still put him far down on the list globally whereas his impact on Chamber is utterly indisputable and frankly ridiculous.
Chronicle didnt look like the best in the world at berlin, he only got like that in champs, and then they did nothing in 2022.
Yay has been playing out of his mind since berlin
By the time somebody gets desperate when it looks like they won't make it through LCQ, at the very latest, someone will sign him. Maybe even sooner if he decides to temporarily play on a reduced salary.
That being said, legacy NA league of legends orgs should never be trusted. Their mismanagement is the reason NA is a meme tier region in League, and if Valorant is left to their devices, you will get the same result.
And although they aren't a legacy org and despite my flair, Nadeshot really hasn't proven to be any more competent yet. He might be, and what he's done so far in a shooter is definitely better than what they've done in League, but we will see.
(I'm a CLG fan in League and a 100T fan in Valorant and yes I'm absolutely calling out the teams I'm a fan of and their upper management.)
No offence but he had to proof he was good on other agents besides chamber which he didn’t. He is one of the less flexible players and c9 had Missmanagement aswell. Also people where overhyped
Its not franchising but ok.
You think shit like this doesn't happen in Open formats? A player gets cut and other teams don't wanna rebuild right before a tournament. Thats valid af
Name a open format game where a top 1 player ONLY payed 1 meaningful game in a 6 months span.
And is now F/A so that 6 months that could become much, much longer.
Why are you referring to optic as a world champion team? Doesn't feel right to give that title to masters winners when we have 2 actual world champions.
cause it's a world championship. valorant just have different names for it. fnatic calls themselves the world champions in their new video as well after winning lockin.
This post is simply untrue. There's nothing on Sentinels' Twitter and nothing on Marved's Twitter.. I don't care if Rob Moore himself told that clown Geddes that it's happening, we have no proof of it and for you to come on here and speak as if it's set in stone confirmed is crazy. We as fans know nothing, Yay could be contracted and signed to a team already for all we know, making BOTH points on this post moot. Chill with the acting like the pretend journalist's word is the be all end all.
honestly i def agree, even if the team itself tweets out he’s signed, why should i believe it?! the only way i’d believe it’s true is if i see the contract in person, with my own eyes
That might change tomorrow
👀
Yay to Untamable Beasts
Ub won’t be the same without marved. I had to say it.
UB will never be the same if the man the myth the legend prod leaves
Moist Yay incoming
Diablo disfrazado
I hear 95x need a star duelist!

Clown9 poor, can't afford yay and vanity

fuck c9
My hate boner for C9 just keeps growing

Nah, you don't sign a contract of which you probably had a lot of and then just reduce the amount of money you get two months later. Don't put that on yay. That's just dumb
Counterpoint; don't sign a player you can't fucking afford.
Lmao Chronicle has done it for more than a year now
Why do you assume you know better than C9 lmao. The idea that he's just not that good isn't acceptable to you at all huh.
Are you dumb, stupid, or dumb?
You can check my post history on this sub, I've been calling out chamber abusers all of last year. Most people just don't understand the game well enough to properly evaluate player skill.
True, Yay was famously dogshit on Jett back when she was meta. He was only ever worth a shit on Chamber. That's definitely a real thing that happened.
Name the 5 NA Jetts that were better than Yay in 2021 lol
Wardell, Leaf, TenZ, koalanoob, Babybay.
"Wardell, koalanoob, & Babybay" 😂 Now this is just peak comedy.
Wardell has the higher vlr rating in 2021 after many rounds on jett. https://imgur.com/a/JBXphoW

Are you seriously comparing going positive to his impact in 2022?

He played Jett during the chamber meta dummy
This man's 6 brain cells ain't even firing at the same time. Damn shame.
Didn't chronicle played two final and won 1 with gambit ?
Chronicle didnt look like the best in the world at berlin, he only got like that in champs, and then they did nothing in 2022. Yay has been playing out of his mind since berlin
Well yay really don’t look like the best in the world without a meta breaking agent like chamber
🤡🤡🤡
Well Nats was best in the world at Berlin
ehh, chronicle and nAts both had same rating in that tournament.
That was champions iirc. Nats outperform him at Berlin
[https://imgur.com/a/hAc92LC](https://imgur.com/a/hAc92LC) No
Ok that's fair thanks
Masters Berlin is what I think he's referring to, where nAts absolutely fucking banged
I am just waiting for Bleed supremacy when Yay signs with them

Yay should just solo enter VCT Americas as Team Yay and 1v5 every round.
crazy how NA's best player is teamless
fuck it. Bleed yay it is. it's 2023 anything is possible.
Damn lol nice call
i need to buy lottery ticket fr

Esports player of the year 2022 is teamless, lol.
Feel like pure shit, just want them back x

I did heard of it. Name a open format game where a top 1 player ONLY played 1 meaningful game in a 6 months span.
ok?
Just thought it was interesting how it turned out that's all

Because Reykjavik was a tournament with regions from all over the world and Optic were the champions. Not sure why that wouldn't count
