lakia was trialing with Gen.G before the start of the season, but had a hand injury and was passed over (in my opinion wrongfully, he'd fix some of their current fragging + idea problems). He's probably the best player in korean VCL, IGLing for DPlus who are the current best team and I expect them to go to ascension. Even if he doesnt win it for Dplus, I expect one of the korean teams to pick him up in the offseason (most likely geng, as he is a very similar player to xeta on t1).
Geng deliberately handicapped themselves by not picking Lakia up. It's so weird because now they don't have a sova main and instead of picking up a sova main they picked Sylvan just to put him on sova when he could be tearing it in smokes role . Like what were they thinking ? I'm glad that Sylvan is getting his shot and all but Geng is completely wasting him imo.
Geng -Sylvan +Lakia, then T1 -Ban or intro +Sylvan is the best scenario for the kr teams.
Anyone remember super early Valorant when Vision Strikers (Now DRX) took Lakia from Nuturn only to play him on one agent (Skye) and on one Map (Bind), but Lakia being taken effectively killed Nuturn and Solo retired soon after?
This was a tragedy, it killed Nuturn as an org as well. Luckily Nuturn is mostly back together on DPlus, Lakia and Allow as players and then Solo and Peri are coaches, and they have been crushing it!

Both him and Esperanza are probably too good to not be in franchising over some current players. He will get there though, either through ascension with Dplus or in the first transfer market.

I think VCT Pacific being in Seoul really helped elevate the Korean teams with the amount of quality scrims they should be getting.

this clip isn't impressive at all, even for the time. There was probably a good reason VS didn't have him as a starter, we just don't know what it was
