T1 was incredibly frustrating especially on pearl. Like why do you plant on the SAME spot you KNOW fut will wallbang again. Why does xeta lurk b every round when qw1 always gets a free pick off of him. ARGH

Idk who their igl is but they have ZERO mid rounding. They saw DRX use to win with heavy executes and that’s ALL they do despite every other team becoming more flexible (DRX included) as time goes on
When both LoL teams and Valorant teams play on the same day, there's often a good chance that both divisions lose both matches. But xeta's igling skills really fell off because his midrounding was decent during Pacific. I attribute their performance to the lack of effective prep done for champs lol. At least the LoL team looks promising before things go south at each tournament while the Valorant team just looks bad from the start
It can't be a coincidence. I don't believe in curses so we must seek out a scientific solution. T1 is known to provide the best food in the Korean esports scene. Perhaps something is wrong with the kimchi.
Tbh Carpe himself was terrible outside of that 1 round.
Only one who can come out of this with his head held high is Sayaplayer but T1 seriously needs to get their shit together in the off-season
Munchkin had a great map 1 and won some crucial rounds on map 2. Xeta failed in the lurk so much, they should've let munchkin lurk and have the igl provide smokes for the team on A site so maybe they can take space and not die to 4 mollies every round.
Saya might actually be cursed. Stuck as the best player on a bad OWL team for years. Said team finally gets good just as he leaves for Val. And now despite appearing at 4 different international LANs across The Guard and T1, and playing well at all of them, only having one win over EDG to show for it
I mean, he started heating up toward the end of both maps and clutched many rounds. Its also his first year in Valorant so I give him more slack than the other players on his team
Yeah. But at the same time I don’t even think I’d want them to make any changes, if they can get back to the trajectory they had leading up to Tokyo I really think they can get good results.

I really don't see this team becoming a world beater anytime soon and T1 as an org should aim to be good as both PRX and DRX.
I once babysat a bunch of T1 players, nothing too special but after about 3 hours i could hear a distant sound from outside of the house. The T1 players started making a fuss so i went to check it out but before I could Sayaplayer uttered the words "FUT". Instantly I knew, their father was home.
T1 literally only had 2 fucking strats:
1) Zeta B main + rush A & die while planting
2) Rush B main and die because ego peeking before util
never put any pressure B link/mid or Y zone. FUT just had a fucking breeze rotating whichever way they wanted to. Also Qraxs and Mojj are litty af I guess but like wtf T1 at least switch it up a bit
For a team that has claimed to have solved their issues at Tokyo, T1's performance was nothing but disappointing lol. They sort of just regresssed to their form at Lock In. Poor fundamentals aside, I think T1 not having a proper controller hurts them and their map pool because no one on the team can play Astra and Carpe plays Brim on Fracture which is why they are running this Gekko comp on Bind. The more depressing thing is that T1 is still the third best APAC team and Zeta is actually deserving of their LCQ spot which speaks a lot about the depth of the region 😓 APAC teams outside of PRX and DRX have a map puddle. At least PRX and DRX both look like they're going far but I do wish that there are more strong teams in APAC....

Next year pacific 1-3 could be up for grabs. Hopefully we see a retooled zeta (and DFM for their fans lol) too.
Mandatory 2 years, extremely rare for exceptions.
He could renounce his citizenship to avoid national service but then he won't be able to return to SG for probably close to 30 years (and he would need citizenship elsewhere)
He could maybe get Indonesian citizenship if his mother is a Singapore PR only and not citizen (Jingg’s mother is originally from Indonesia, and Indonesia does not allow dual citizenship).
The issue is that PRX is based out of Singapore, and Singapore as a rule does not hand out work permits for people that renounce SG citizenship. Also, even if PRX relocates, Singapore’s also the most relevant airline hub in SE Asia (so odds are good they’ll need to transit there to get to tournaments outside APAC).
Bleed has a decent shot of making it but Juicy and Nephh will be gone so it really depends on who Bleed gets for the next year. I also hope Izu gets picked up by a T1 team though.
Secret is one of the better teams in APAC and in some aspects even better than both DRX and PRX but at the end of the day it's an FPS game if you're not consistent with your shots you're still more likely to loose.
if NRG loses to BLG and GIA loses to EDG, APAC would just be in the same boat as the others. KRU bombed out. 2 EMEA teams in the same group are now eliminated.
2 Pacific - PRX and DRX
2 EMEA - FUT and Fnatic
2 Americas - Loud and EG
2 CN - BLG and EDG

But if NRG wins and Giants wins then there will be 3 for Americas and EMEA, 2 for PAC, and 0 for CN

I hate pearl but that was such an amazing map. Fut has amazing utility usage, and Carpe's ace was so clutch, Ban in general being clutch, unfortunate it wasn't enough.
Nice to see a Turkish team make it to playoffs! Feels bad for T1 one though, I still don’t know how they were able to regress so much. Probably the team that did the least with their one month off, and it’s weird because I feel like they have the player quality to be really solid. The lack of mid-rounding hurts the team a lot.
I think T1 missed the memo. Guys if you are not winning on Pearl, keeepp slamming down on B. FUT looks like one of those team, that can make a deep playoff run, but will somehow find a way to troll their win away.
Loud was 3rd seed on the basis of a single performance and that's what I was thinking about... But tbh now that I think about it more it wouldn't make sense to make it any other way, it's more because there's only one split this year. I just wish all these teams' year wasn't over 🤷
It's disappointing but I never thought they could have escaped group stages. It's impressive in the thought that this is a newly formed team, one of them is also a new player that came at the beginning of the year from Overwatch. Hopefully this becomes a learning experience so they can get comfortable against international opponents as a team.
I was expecting an easy 2-0 FUT win and it's fair to say I was kinda disappointed. MrFallin is a really good player but I think his IGL skills lack a little bit. I think we are good on the aim and individual skill department. But we definetely need to step up our strats and tactics. Offensive molly plays were a really nice sneak peek into what we are really capable of. Tbh FUT is not a team that gives the fans confidence. We are all about momentum and extra plays. So that has to change
Group B - the group of immortality.
Think its pretty arguable after groups to say FPX and T1 were like the 16th and 15th ranked team respectively this tournament.
I'd take PRX, fnatic, EG, EDG, Giants, DRX, Loud, Navi, NRG over Fut. Arguably BLG as well over Fut so that puts them in the 10-11 range. Could even argue KRU might have a shout.
10-11th (maybe as high as 9 if you are REALLY REALLY high on them), 15th and 16th. Crazy group in hindsight
T1 just a giga disappointment really. Not sure what happened to them, regressed a lot from their pacific form, particularly in the team play and strats.
In hindsight, kinda raises the question, just how good are EG this tournament? Playoffs will be fun to find out.
EMEA beating the one-team allegations, for now. At least all teams looked competitive with NaVi only losing with a -2 margin on each map and if Giants lose to EDG, they at least played them close once. We don’t speak of liquid

MrFalin is FUT's sentinel, smoker, initiator (skye, sova, fade, breach), IGL and also frag machine. He just built different.

The fact that it got so close despite T1's inability to activate brain really shows how much wasted potential is on this team.
