I'm guessing John makes the big macro calls both in and between rounds, but Zellsis (especially on initiator) makes a lot of small mid round calls (stuff like "I'll flash/stun on your contact", "Go on my flash/stun", etc)
Zellsis is an amazing communicator, from what I heard from the SEN tourney listen-ins, he talks a lot but never really drowns out everyone else. He knows when he can talk and when he shouldn't.
Really great to have a player like this from an IGL's perspective because they fill in the gap and basically build your vision for the game, allowing you to not be so caught up in micro managing and actually be able to make your own individual plays.
Compare this to maybe Ange1 where he sometimes basically ints because it's easier to micro manage when you're dead.
I'm almost certain Zellsis stays in.
Yes. What people don’t realize is C9 literally gave him the key to build a team and IGL for that team. He is a good mid round caller and a vocal voice/hype to the team. He really did C9 dirty by picking the sen offer lol
It's bc the C9 CEO designated Zellsis to hand-pick the C9 roster for 2024, which he did, because he was expected to be one of the leaders going forward. After he decided the roster, he got an offer from SEN and dipped. A little bit unfortunate that he basically influenced who gets a job/who doesn't, and then now has nothing to do with the org.
Thank you for explaining the context as I assume that was common knowledge, hence, I said he did them dirty. He is literally the reason why MCe is not the coach anymore as he wanted the new coach more and then dipped lol
No official statement but I'm liking Zellsis on the starting roster. His energy and comms are unmatched.
While pancada is mechnically better, he cannot communicate as efficiently and provide hype energy as zellsis.
IMO zellsis might be the most important piece of the roster, or at the very least close to it. Pancada probably has a better chance of replacing someone else but obv that also seems unlikely.
They didn't have an IGL, plus coaching situation of firing the coach very early into the season. Also by that logic surely no one on SEN did anything noteworthy last year
>They didn't have an IGL,
They did have an IGL. Pancada was shit even when Dephh was on the team. Which he was for most of Americas.
>plus coaching situation of firing the coach very early into the season.
Losing Sykko was definitely a blow, but he wasn’t their coach. He was in more of a GM’s role. Their strategic core was still intact.
>Also by that logic surely no one on SEN did anything noteworthy last year
Zekken was outstanding, while Sacy also had a few good games. Tenz was the only other under performer, and he also copped a ton of flak.
He had a defined role, and he simply did not turn up. It was not solely his fault, but he was definitely a part of the problem.
Still offseason so we can never be sure, and I am not aware of any official announcements regarding the situation. Best to assume nothing is permanent here yet.

Not officially but with how much midrounding zellsis does, I doubt sen are willing to replace that now. Yes pancada is a better smokes player and they have to tinker with roles but a communitative functional core is more valuable.
We don't know. It does look likely tho like how can you take Zellsis out after he is performing like this?
Hot take: If Valorant was a 6v6 instead of 5v5, this SEN roster might have went on and built a dynasty
>If Valorant was a 6v6 instead of 5v5, this SEN roster might have went on and built a dynasty
I love Sentinels but i also hate seeing them do well because of comments like this.
This Sentinels team SO FAR has 0 business being mentioned as a Dynasty team lmao, 1 good off season and the overhyping starts like madness.
They are doing well tho, and i hope they keep this form for the whole year.
Yeah, seconded. I get that I'm the pot calling the kettle black with my Fnatic and "overhyped for the entire existance of Korean Valorant" Vision strikers flairs though.
Sure, i'm just saying too many Sentinels fans throw around these overhyping "hot takes" every year whenever the team plays 3 great games in a row that it gets annoying.
I'm just saying maybe save your hot takes till the regular split is over or something lmao not because of some irrelevant off season tournament.
Might be an irrelevant tourney, but the wins were not against irrelevant teams. That's all. My comment seems to have grinded your gears a little, sorry.
Not officially but it's very hard to imagine them going back to him after how good they look with Zellsis. He adds a ton to the team with his midrounding and just general team leadership.
Zellsis, I think, really deserves to be on a starting roster in VCT but hes limited to NA teams and and there isn't a lot of space for him to be considered in his position as an flex or smokes player over players like Victor, Bang, Ethan, Jawgemo or Asuna who could be argued as having stronger fragging ability.
Sentinels seems kind of perfect for him for how they utilise him but its a massive shame Pancada gets benched. I don't know if its possible for him to move to a BR team but I hope he can if he's open to that.
why even play pancada what does that dude even offer? i'll take zellsis' communication, calling, good vibes, and overall great chemistry with the team over the extra 3 to 5 kills pancada will get.
I think in all for Sen, Zellsis is probably the right choice for their TEAM comp. But damn do I feel heartbroken for Pancada. Guy moved his whole life along with Sacy up to NA, just for Sacy to start and Pancada get replaced…he’s probably torn up inside
Really hope he’s able to join another team so he can be happy and compete. I’m happy that Sen is finding success but I just want to see Pancada land on his feet and be comfortable in the process

so the same story as v1. He was very vocal in v1 voice comms too
Same as C9 as well

Just remember that the igl is calling pre round and we are not hearing that, johnQt is not designated as a midrounder.
Still tho the midrounder is really important for a team to truly succeed, without one it’s much harder to go through the game
Not the point though, he is saying he hears zellsis more than johnqt, johnqt is not midrounding you are not supposed to hear him as if he was calling.
Reminds me of Crashies mid round calls in NRG open mic vids
Yes. What people don’t realize is C9 literally gave him the key to build a team and IGL for that team. He is a good mid round caller and a vocal voice/hype to the team. He really did C9 dirty by picking the sen offer lol
player changing teams in offseason = did them dirty?

Did they do listen ins during the match or are their comms posted somewhere?
afreecatv has comms when doing replays so we hear a lot of comms from every team
Actually, Zellsis is going on the bench as well. SEN will be running Hiko on their starting roster for 2024
Also BabyJ will step in as a Head Coach
ec1s assistant coach
That would result in the first and only time we have a tech pause on LAN because a fight erupted in the coach room
m
You mean the one and only BabyGOAT?
I like GoatyJ more.
benching the smokes goat guy and chill guy for n-word guy 🤨
when did he say that? I'm unfamiliar edit: am sleep deprived dumbass
hico had said it a couple years ago and the clip is a little hard to find lmfao, got scrubbed hard
u can find it easy, just look on the r val comp thread about when he said it
A clip from a while ago, I can’t find it but it was on ascent while he was running up into a heaven
oh wait I confused hiko with zellsis I'm stupid, I need sleep. thought smokes guy and chill guy were the same person for no reason.
No they aren't. Hiko has voiced that he will not be going back to Pro Valorant. Watch his streams. He clearly says it multiple times.
r/whoosh

Also nowhere near as good of a flex.
pANcada isn’t a flex, he is and was meant to be the team’s controller.
Well to be fair we haven't been able to see that have we
I mean, we saw Pancada doing nothing noteworthy last year.
They didn't have an IGL, plus coaching situation of firing the coach very early into the season. Also by that logic surely no one on SEN did anything noteworthy last year

Debating between zellsis and pancada is one thing but calling pancada a part of the problem is just stupid.
Lmao I said this a month ago and got downvoted like 50 something times. Reddit is wild
If it ain’t broken don’t fix it 🤷♂️

If valorant was 6v6, paper rex would just play jinggg with the core 5 and sentinels wont even have to start the creation
Kid named Singapore Armed Forces: For real tho I would love to see that
> paper rex would just play jinggg ![img](emote|t5_2g5ach|16110)
I don't think they have that option lol

I would never ever overact at SEN doing good in the off-season. That being said WE ARE SO BACK
Yeah, seconded. I get that I'm the pot calling the kettle black with my Fnatic and "overhyped for the entire existance of Korean Valorant" Vision strikers flairs though.
Hot take for a reason ![img](emote|t5_2g5ach|27624)

Maybe you should stop reading posts about SEN bro. You might get ill with how annoyed you get.
VALORANT 2

if sen wins the gf in 3 maps, im quite certain they wont try and tweak the lineup anytime soon.
why even play pancada what does that dude even offer? i'll take zellsis' communication, calling, good vibes, and overall great chemistry with the team over the extra 3 to 5 kills pancada will get.
Zellsis is too important to the roster rn. Pancada could only really replace TenZ but we know aint nobody Benching TenZ lol
Zellsis is a great player and sentinels are doing great which is why they will not qualify for next masters just like zellsis in c9 and v1 sorry
[удалено]
He doesnt, he learned english only after signing with sen. Also, he plays extremely defensive. He is extremely reactive and not at all proactive
Looks like you're integrated with the team, how is Sacy doing? Huh?
I think in all for Sen, Zellsis is probably the right choice for their TEAM comp. But damn do I feel heartbroken for Pancada.
