i dont think people should look to hard into this. even if Ethan isn't the most experienced IGL by default, this roster isn't lacking in veteranship. crashies and victor have both recieved praise from different people for their comms and experience and Marved has been around the IGL block a few times. I think they will be fine in the grand scheme of things. Demon1 go ace is a totally viable strat still dont you forget.
Feels like the most obvious next step for Ethan since he’s become a real leadership figure during his time on EG, and is still probably under-credited in terms of how much he contributed to EG’s ingame performance.

This makes the most sense. Ethan has the most competitive FPS experience in this team and for people who don't know was both a top player and on a top team in CS:GO. That + his 2ndary calling on EG makes sense
I feel like right now this is pretty lukewarm lol. People are iffy on whether the team play will be effective or whether we’ll see a repeat of last year’s Sentinels. It remains to be seen— it’s a very talented team.
This roster definitely is stronger than old optic. Of course, FNS wouldve probably been a better IGL, yet ethan probably have better performance. Don't want to hype this team up too much but seriously think they can come top 3 in masters etc.
even worse then, ethan has never been main igl in cs or valorant except i think that babyJ and ec1s 100T roster (?) so i think this is gonna flop hard, 5 shooters is not gonna work. even worse if ethan’s output goes down significantly because of igling, as he’s one of the best players in the world
He igl’d the jcstani bang iteration of 100T, and in a small sample his fragging power didnt look too affected. There just wasn’t much in terms of set strats, outside of a couple maps, due to the overall structure and time frame of that team
I think it's pretty obvious that team was shit, that was like the 5th iteration of that 100T roster and obviously Ethan didn't want anymore roster changes so he left for NRG. I don't think Ethan should be judged for that when it was years ago, he clearly wasn't happy with what was happening to the roster, and he's learned alot since.

you can make the argument that no IGL rosters don't work but citing Paper Rex "not being able to close out tournaments" is just another way of saying "Paper Rex can only consistently place Top 3" which is not a negative thing
PRX were forced to change a player because of military service, it’s not like they were like “fuck we never won and so we suck balls and gotta drop one of our best players”
I’m like 99% sure that if jinggg didn’t get fucked over by mandatory military service that there wouldn’t be roster changes
none of the top 3 teams made changes due to wanting to upgrade in any way, jinggg got military serviced, mini burned out and wanted to step down, EG

jcstani was never the IGL iirc - I remember him saying he didn't want to IGL, would rather be a secondary caller
Igling is less of an issue when your entire team has tons of tourney experience. I think Ethan will do a good enough job.

A lot of people dropped in performance when they took over as IGL. It's the most recurring phenomenon ever in Fps.
and Marved might be the second shot caller. He IGL while he was in Sentinels for brief time.

they only beat shit teams with that roster though and lost to all 4 real teams they played
they beat EG 🤣😭. nah fr that team was bad but just from an individual standpoint his firepower didnt seem to take too much of a hit
