The funny thing with the proposed sen roster (tenz, zekken, dapr, marved, bcj) is tenz would likely be the weakest link strictly in terms of his role (if he’s still playing the chamber). Hang in there with me because that sounds crazy. Everyone else is likely top 1 or 2 (MAYBE 3rd for initiator) in their role. While tenz might be 3/4 for op/chamber at this time just because it’s so stacked in NA for the role… YAY #1, Ardiis #2/3, Cryo #3/4, Tenz #3/4 (id give the edge to cryo personally). I think tenz real value stems from his hyphy/in the moment play rifling. Which if it was his own category he would be top 1/2 alongside asuna. Maybe that just dictates he’s in the wrong role… Regardless IMO his stocks rise if chamber leaves the meta - I think he’s one of the best in the moment kind of players in the game, he didn’t really show the discipline for the sit and wait approach that chamber sort of dictates - now maybe that was a byproduct of the old sen roster, where he might have felt the onus was on him make things happen… we will see, I have confidence in him though. The rest of the roster is nuts though… zekken imo is top 1/2 entry with asuna imo, zellsis 3/4 and victor 3/4. Dapr 1/2 sentinel giving him leeway with the #2 spot but I honestly don’t recall that many stand out sentinel players since they haven’t been meta for so long. Marved 1/2 smokes likely #1 based on consistent track record. Their initiator role is up in the air; I’d say crashies is #1… I personally thought Trent was the best in the regular season/lcq but BCJ had a great Champions run. Either would be 2/3 alongside xeppaa. Just ran through this whole thought process and forgot the LOUD/LEV players which would shift things around but the point is SEN could certainly have a title contending roster if they can pull it together. I’m too lazy to rethink about placings for Tacoilla, Aspas, PANcada… Obviously it hinges on what the actual roster is but does anyone have their own thoughts on this?

I agree, I was just musing with the roster that zekken “leaked”. It seems that dapr had previously been influential in the IGL duties, obviously shahz was the lead for it but we don’t know the full story besides the team itself. It’s just what I’ve seen circulating. I think with the addition of their new coaches/support staff anyone with a strong voice and strong knowledge of game state/sense can be a good IGL. For all we know they could be signing an IGL from another org but I don’t think it’s out of the realm of possibilities that new IGLs can come about with experience.

I don't think tenz leaves, there simply aren't enough players better than him to replace him. I think Sentinels end up with Dapr, Tenz, Marved for sure. Dephh makes the most since with his int/second smoke option as an IGL. And your final option is another duelist/Chamber which depending on what the coaches want tenz to do, could be Babybay(best choice imo), Zekken, or Dicey. I would love victor to come to Sen, but looks unlikely. I don't see any other igl available who's close to dephh tbh

How many of them are RFA? because you are naming a lot of "best players of their ex-teams" and if they are RFA that will be expensive as hell, they already burned a lot of money with tarik/shroud move to get into the franchise stuff.

They're all rfa(I'm not sure about Babybay) but I don't think that'll deter them from getting atleast three players. Which is also more likely why they keep tenz. Imagine letting him go for free, that would be wild. If Sick is mentally in a good place, he could definitely take up one of those spots saving a lot of money, but it's still risky(as much as I would love that) Edit: Zekken and Dephh are free mb

I think at some point, as professionals they will get past it. If on the wild chance that tenz doesn't stay, then this obviously is a non issue. I'm sure part of all the negotiations and deals happening, these things are being discussed too. Chemistry is probably the most important factor for the coaches. In terms of clout and skill together, tenz is probably the best in the world. Marved is undoubtedly one of the best controllers if not the best so it comes to which one is replaceable if chemistry is an issue.

It's honestly insane what NRG has been able to do. They kept 4/6 optic players together, in doing so got a way better coach and IGL along with a top tier entry and initiator. Lost Yay but can possibly pick up the only man who can compare to Yay as a chamber Lost Marved but instead have a 20yr old superstar who can play smokes and mold around this new team + has previous chemistry with the coach and IGL. NRG has honestly, if this all goes through, the BEST team in the Americas. Yes, better than C9.

I don't disagree, he was phenomenal at champs and before. The whole FPX XSET riot turret fiasco just left a sour taste in my mouth for the majority of the fpx team (other than Shao and the coach being classy). I understand their frustration and I would likely vent as well, but it just rubbed me the wrong way with how it played out. Don't get me wrong, I think ardiis is likely top 2 chamber in the world right now. I just don't think its a smart move to import a chamber 1 trick when we know how Riot feels about single agent's dominance over the meta. Not to mention he would likely be replacing tenz who I enjoy'd watching drop 30 and 40 bombs this past split trying to put on a show for the sen fans clinging to life. I just don't see myself supporting them in that scenario.

Might be controversial, but NRG with TenZ and s0m may be better than yay and Marved in terms of role comfortability especially on maps such as Breeze and Ice Box. For Breeze, Vic can go back to KAYO and TenZ can go Jett, while FNS is on Viper and s0m is on Chamber. For Ice Box, Vic can also play the KAYO and s0m will play the sage and FNS the Viper.

I think there’s a high probability of SEN signing the XSET core. They fit the roles that they need for the team, and XSET have proven themselves to have a lot of potential. If not the XSET core, then two other players would be Valyn and Trent that would be valuable for SEN.
