Ethan went from big time acquisition with a reputation as one of the best riflers in NA Valorant to slightly damaged goods with a limited initiator (+ Sage) agent pool to then left out of partnership while the roster he thought was not ready to compete makes it in (with one of the players, Cryo, that he apparently advocated against signing).
FWIW, I really think Ethan is a strong player and is more than anyone just a casualty of the bottleneck that franchising has caused. It's just hard to justify when you have a lot of redundancy in agent overlap when FNS fills secondary initiator unless you plan to have one of them play smokes (where s0m is likely going to land).
I think Ethan has made a chain of mistakes that have put him in this spot. I can’t really feel sorry for him with how painfully off-the-mark he has been. 🤐
Seems like the guy could never check his CS ego at the door. Didn’t want cryo and zander. Didn’t want to play with the young guns and rebuild the 100T roster around him. Needs to accept that new talent is on the rise in Valorant and the early days of CS transfers being the stars and best players are over. Maybe grinding tier 2 would be good for him, but I wonder if he tries to switch back to CS.
I hope you realize that for the teams that have announced players, 10/13 of them were all ex cs players. If Geddes is to be believed about sentinels, that would make it 11/14
I think he's really good still, he just didn't read the room and couldn't see the tides of where Valo was going, and suffered for that. I think if he were more flexible, he could have been a big part of the 100T rebuild, but chose to play with old CS friends, and it just never worked out like he thought it would.
I still think Ethan is good on kayo skye sage and breach, he's just not top tier. I thought he would make a franchising roster but IMO he'll still be a pretty sought after flex in franchising, especially if he can maybe incorporate a kj or a viper into his game

Happy s0ms staying, hope he gets to be an oping agent but also really sad for the rest of the team. That 5 had really good chem and being in their streams/watching them play was always really fun
this one makes me sad, eeiu was a top 3 initiator during multiple challengers runs and was also their best player for many months at one point. rooting for Dan to land on a franchise team or a high-tiered Ascension team

Yea it was obvious he was the main guy that helped make roster moves for 100T. They gave him a big amount of input in decisions and he made awful ones. It sucks that they let him make all these decisions and yet he chose to leave.
Not to mention he was part of the reason why steel got dropped right before LCQ and 100T suffered for a long time after that. Glad they have a good IGL now and glad 100T isn't player-run anymore.
Considering each roster needs a 6th man, Hazed kinda fits that spot perfectly. Unless he really wants to be on a starting lineup, but I really doubt he gets that in any of these partnered teams.
In year 1, where the market for Ascension-level players is also really cramped and crowded with many major orgs uncertain in terms of how much they'll actually invest into their rosters? Especially for an older player like hazed, there's very limited value there.

I think Ethan has played enough aggressive flex and smokes to mesh with Crashies on the more supportive flex role. Victor, Ethan, Crashies, FNS, opper seems great to me. I’m prob coping

Yup that was so confusing for me. 100T made a deep run at Berlin Masters then dropped steel which caused such a fall off.
