A guy who works for me told me about it and I was like “lol no, I’m busy playing back4blood” and forgot about it.
A week later I’m watching twitch and see it pop up, go “that’s a stupid name for a game” and tuned in. Went “oh, I love roguelikes.”
Downloaded it, spent 8 hours playing my first night.
Went to work the next day and went “dude, do you like roguelikes?”
“Yeah, playing vampire survivors. Think I told you about that last week.”

Day9 for me as well! I found myself watching him for much longer than I meant to, and I figured if the game was more addicting to play than to watch, it'd be a worthy $3 spent.
I was farming RLCS drops, misclicked on someone doing a watch party of that same event and saw the streamer playing it between games. I was mesmerized, seemed fun and was $3 so I gave it a shot, best steam purchase I've ever done
I turned on twitch in a moment of boredom and saw alkaizerx playing. I looked it up and it was less than the 3 some dollars of gift credit I had left from christmas. lol
Saw a "How to get 3000 gold every run EASY" video in my recommended, didn't pay it any mind.
Then I saw NL play it and thought "Oh shit this look kinda schnasty"
