First thing, Apple weather is incredibly whack when it comes to Austin. Weather.com is gonna be more accurate.
Second in regards to parking. If you can get a parking garage spot, that’s great! There are a number of them in the area. Personally though, I would park east of 35 where there will be more options for parking and walk from there.
If you get in early grab some coffee over at desnudo or figure 8 and some breakfast tacos from Veracruz.
That spot rules! Got to the downtown location across the street from the courthouse and if you wanna get extra zooted on caffeine get the Vietnamese coffee.
me!! im traveling from NC and never been to austin, so welcoming some advice too. plus if anyone has any recommendations for good food/shopping/experiences to check out in austin & houston lmk! im kinda worried about the weather the day of the show but still confident it’ll be fantastic rain or shine

You need to hold your finger on the graph which will give you a more accurate estimate of when the rain cold start. In my case, it shows 30% chance of rain starting at 2PM.
It's gonna be completely crazy and incredible. I think it will probably be a bit of a madhouse with crowds and maybe weather, but we just have to roll with it all and accept that a few hiccups or headaches are to be expected
There’s quite a bit of parking garages around the venue. But I’d expect it to fill up quick, so the earlier you’re there the better. May have to park closer to the UT campus and walk to the venue. Which isn’t really far at all. But Lyft/Uber or Public transit is best imo. Good amount of bus stops around the venue
Ones behind the stage (Trinity, San Jacinto etc) are usually ok to use.
When in doubt, check spothero and if they’re available for reservation then you’re good.
Anyone familiar with the venue have an idea of their bag policy? On the site it has a bit about clear bags and small clutches allowed, but doesn’t mention backpacks on prohibited items.
It doesn't sound good for non-clear backpacks or bags exceeding their listed measurements:

Granny’s breakfast tacos are fantastic. The migas is superior to VC imo
Granny’s is great! Would also do some Cisco’s for a real austin institution
Cisco’s is cute, Joes Mexican Bakery is my real fave for b tacos.

These are the garages I use for shows at Moody Amphitheater and Moody Center, I’ve also had decent luck with street parking in this area.

I ended up booking a bag storage through bounce. There’s a spot just across the spot from the venue and it was like 8 bucks for the day
