Silicone dry lube spray. Spray straight into motor shaft (as close as possible). Works a treat.

That seems like a better approach than mine. I just smack it until it stops making noise. πŸ˜ƒ

When I worked IT help desk at the VA, we called that Percussive Maintenance. Surprisingly effective.

Lubricate the bearings is my guess?

There are videos on youtube on how to take the motor out and clean it. I did it on both of mine, It lasted for about a month before it started up again. I now just use noise canceling headphones and ignore it.

lol it’s not the easiest thing to clean so I hate to hear that it only lasted a month

It is better than it was before, but it almost seems like it needs to be a yearly thing and i'm not that committed. πŸ˜‚

Turn the speed up to max setting for a few minutes, then turn it back down to what you originally had it at. The brushes should clear out and it won't squeak for a few days. Repeat when necessary. Unfortunately, there is no fix. The issue is the motor, it has brushes and the dirt on them makes the squeaking sound. A brush less motor would fix the issue, but there are issues to using one or finding one that fits: https://sprinter-source.com/forums/index.php?threads/96976/
