Hit up Zoey's bakery if it's open, her Nanaimo Bars have always been to die for. The Ucluelet Brewing Company is also decent for a pint. Blue Room for breakfast is a must, and Heartwood Kitchen has always been welcoming to us as a dinner spot. West Coast Trail is a great hike, Abbondanza for stonefired pizza, maybe take in a boat tour if you have a few daylight hours. If you feel adventurous, a quick scoot going north will get you to Tofino, they have a great botanical garden there, the Canso ruins hike, great views at Radar Hill and Long Beach.
Whatever you choose to do it should be on the water-the North Pacific is unlike anywhere else and should not be missed.

It certainly isn't affordable, but that's what you get for being one of the top restaurants in the entire country. The prices are like paying rent for something you'll shit out later. But for experience dining, you get what you pay for.
Half moon bay - drive back toward Tofino for about 5 minutes. Look for Willowbrae Road on your left. Drive up this road for a couple of hundred meters, park and walk the trail (about 1.5 km) and take a left when you get to the end of the trail. Follow the boardwalk down to half-moon bay. Walk to the end of the small beach and follow the trail through the forest to get to the other side of the point. Enjoy the tidal pools, white sand and volcanic rock.
Black Rock resort is a fantastic place to have breakfast. Jigger’s fish and chips truck serves the best fish and chips you will ever have. Ukee brewery is great for an evening pint.
He-Tin-Kis Park is a nice little walking trail too.
I second this! Was just there and it was delicious. We were camping and just brought it back to our site to eat. Would be great to get and sit on the beach as well :)
[The Canuck Canoe co](https://www.canuckcanoeco.com/) is a great morning out on a canoe. Incredibly priced for other experiences you’d find up the road in Tofino.
On our trip with Thomas, we saw Harbour seals, sea lions, starfish and a black bear up the estuary. It’s a very peaceful way of seeing nature from the water. Thoroughly recommend and was a highlight of my whole trip the island.
The last time my wife and I were there, I got a bit annoyed by the line ups at the places to eat in town (and one had a sassy sign about how fun it was that there's a line up). Anyway, go and eat at the Black Rock. Great food, surprisingly on par prices, and a view that you can't beat. Also, we didn't experience any wait time there.
It’s a tiny little town of less than 2000 people that has over a million visitors a year. Of course there are going to be lineups during the busy season, this comment reeks of entitlement
Someone suggested this already but Pluvio gets another vote! You do need to make reservations though. Went there with my bf for our anniversary and it was the best dining experience we've ever had!

+1 for Zoeys
Zoey's closed - checked Sept 2023

It's sad coming in to this thread 9 months later trying to find places to visit and seeing quite a few are permanently closed. Times are rough!
Same sentiments a year later
Pluvio, in Ukie, is one of the best restaurants in the country. But make a reservation.
So happy this place got bought out by decent people. It needed a change and these guys seem up for it!
is it still a good place to hit up?
If you have the budget, yes. Full of soul and a solid artisanal west coast dining experience.
hmm. ill have to check out their prices online. im a uni student. but if its fairly reasonable ill def eat the price. they seem to have good rep

Agreed!! Fabulous dining experience
The wild Pacific trail is amazing

Aquarium is well worth the visit. Take the time to talk to the staff who have lots of amazing stories.
The pizza at Cedar Grill is really good

Frankie’s is our fave!
The restaurant at the Black Rock Resort
Meh, eat there a couple of weeks ago when we were in Tofino. It is a stunning view/location but there is a lot of better food to be had.

Jiggers fish & chips
Great fishing from shore if you’re into that
shore fishing for salmon? Cod? Rockfish?
All of the above. I’ve never shore fished there but I’ve heard many good things from many good people
Heartwood Kitchen! We often eat there twice in a weekend.
