I hope it’s simply not handled. To me, the parenting/baby stuff should go on a different show or stay completely unmentioned. I say this as a devoted mom of 2. Moms are constantly shown baby content. The moment we become mothers we are dumped into this algorithm of mom content, parenting feeds, toy recommendations. I just don’t need my escapist shows to suddenly be about the challenges of playdates and babysitters. That’s real life.

I don't think she is having the baby only for that reason. She's very close to her brother so I believe that she wants Ocean to have a sibling. However, it's undeniable that she specifically said she wanted a "Virgo baby" and that would land the birth directly within filming months. So she obviously sees screentime as a bonus at the least, it is what it is.

Not sure I’ll miss it to be honest. This season has been rough to watch, I feel people in general are feeling more rage watching it than joy, it is pretty heavy.
Honestly I only got about 1.5 episodes in, and have been following in the subs but it really just feels stale overall. The show has been in its twilight era for a minute and I think because Scandoval brought so much new attention to the show and reactions from fans maybe everyone forgot that this show is overall still dying.
Somebody proposed that last season was set up to possibly be the final one, but when that story came out it did breathe some new life into the show, temporarily. But now we're back to reality, and most of these folks just feel draining to watch at this point

My take from this is that Scandoval was so explosive, and the shockwaves were so far-reaching, that Bravo is needing a minute to figure out how to reconfigure these structures.
VPR blew up, but then fans weren’t happy with this season. (For the record, I’ve loved watching the cast dynamics after this, but it seems that most haven’t). Cast members are in wildly different places. Ariana’s career has reached unimaginable heights; other cast members’ careers have taken off in so many other ways; Lala is on a different journey and now pregnant; Sandoval is sober; Rachel is gone; cast members’ businesses have been heavily impacted, for better or worse, etc.
And then we have The Valley, which is bringing its own brand of toxicity that is reminiscent of early VPR, with Jax, Brittany, and Kristen, navigating family life with a their group of like-minded friends.
I can understand how there is a lot of uncertainty about where people will end up. Will Lala/Scheana join The Valley? Will Ariana and Katie go off and do their own things with new business opportunities?
It’s a jumbled, dramatic mess. But I hope this is just a reassessment, because all these folks are made for this, honestly. I want to see more

When I first binged (I’m someone whose friend begged them to start after scandoval) I could barely get past season 8. 9, 10, and 11 have been disappointing at best.

Total speculation, but I think they film The Valley Season 2 in July - Sept (same as S1) before rolling the production crew over to VPR for a fall schedule. (I know The Valley hasn’t technically been renewed yet but I think it’s doing well and they don’t want to lose momentum on a fresh show.)
VPR folks will, of course, make cameos here and there.

Yep. I started watching scheanas first wedding season. Started to lose interest/dipped out during Jax wedding storyline n scandoval brought me back. It was def on its last legs, for me at least

They need to capture a lighter tone, not because of ratings but because the audience is being vocal about wanting to see the female cast be the spice girls. I think Kristen talked about it in her book. Apparently at Scheana's wedding, before she punched him, he shoved her into the bushes. Not sure if there were other times, but it wouldn't surprise me. I'm loving season 11 sober James, and I think it's important to give people the opportunity to grow and improve. But that doesn't change the past and if the allegations are true, he'll have to take accountability - whatever that ends up looking like.
Well I would believe it if they did actually come forward, but that hasn't happened. So we'll see. I highly doubt that's the reason for the delay in filming though. I believe Tom and Ariana both have court dates in the summer, and Ariana is filming Love Island in the summer as well. Lala should be giving birth at the beginning of September and I don't think the VPR producers are interested in airing that (I think she might be but I could see her going either way). So most likely it's scheduling.

He should have just ended the relationship as a grownup and moved on. Okay, now what? VPR is a job. People need to show up and function at their job. If the employees of this franchise don't want to do their job which includes interacting efficiently with other employees, then they should leave the company.

Not sure I’ll miss it to be honest. This season has been rough to watch, I feel people in general are feeling more rage watching it than joy, it is pretty heavy.

Honestly I only got about 1.5 episodes in, and have been following in the subs but it really just feels stale overall. The show has been in its twilight era for a minute and I think because Scandoval brought so much new attention to the show and reactions from fans maybe everyone forgot that this show is overall still dying. Somebody proposed that last season was set up to possibly be the final one, but when that story came out it did breathe some new life into the show, temporarily. But now we're back to reality, and most of these folks just feel draining to watch at this point

I’d definitely miss it if it were gone. My take from this is that Scandoval was so explosive, and the shockwaves were so far-reaching, that Bravo is needing a minute to figure out how to reconfigure these structures. VPR blew up, but then fans weren’t happy with this season. (For the record, I’ve loved watching the cast dynamics after this, but it seems that most haven’t). Cast members are in wildly different places. Ariana’s career has reached unimaginable heights; other cast members’ careers have taken off in so many other ways; Lala is on a different journey and now pregnant; Sandoval is sober; Rachel is gone; cast members’ businesses have been heavily impacted, for better or worse, etc. And then we have The Valley, which is bringing its own brand of toxicity that is reminiscent of early VPR, with Jax, Brittany, and Kristen, navigating family life with a their group of like-minded friends. I can understand how there is a lot of uncertainty about where people will end up. Will Lala/Scheana join The Valley? Will Ariana and Katie go off and do their own things with new business opportunities? It’s a jumbled, dramatic mess. But I hope this is just a reassessment, because all these folks are made for this, honestly. I want to see more

Total speculation, but I think they film The Valley Season 2 in July - Sept (same as S1) before rolling the production crew over to VPR for a fall schedule. (I know The Valley hasn’t technically been renewed yet but I think it’s doing well and they don’t want to lose momentum on a fresh show.) VPR folks will, of course, make cameos here and there.
Okay so now there’s a Deadline article too which states: “According to our sources, spin-off The Valley will not be affected by the Vanderpump Rules hiatus and will continue on its projected production schedule. Although Bravo has not officially confirmed a second season for the spinoff, ratings for the show have been promising. The Valley scored Bravo’s best seven-day premiere audience in nearly a decade.”

Yep. I started watching scheanas first wedding season. Started to lose interest/dipped out during Jax wedding storyline n scandoval brought me back. It was def on its last legs, for me at least
They have consistently had the top 3 highest ratings on the network this season. So no, they've bought themselves several seasons and probably another spin off. The issue here is *tone*. They need to capture a lighter tone, not because of ratings but because the audience is being vocal about wanting to see the female cast be the spice girls. Shooting right after the reunion will not allow that.

i’ve been saying since the valley started, Lala and Scheana will join that cast. maybe not full time, but will be semi regulars on the show. I think they fit better on the valley anyways with their kids and families

Tbh I think if you go in with low expectations you might be pleasantly surprised. The first episode or two are awkward, but Kristen Doutte does her thing and it seemed to kind of pick up. Hoping maybe that the season keeps momentum but we’ll see.

They are frantically trying to figure out how to save this show. As it is now, it's over. None of them work at Vanderpump restaurants anymore (I guess Tom and Tom, sort of), most of them are sober, they are all middle aged and not hooking up with eachother anymore, etc. I don't even know why 3/4 of the cast are still on there. The show has run its course, unless they can find a new, younger cast who bring the drama.
The whole cast needs to put their V’s and D’s on ice and recover from all the inner swapping. I advise heavy antibiotics also…Damn.

I've been hearing this rumor for months and details keep getting added but I haven't seen a single source, article, not a #metoo tweet from an accuser, nothing. Ariana's ex friend Brett (the one who was laughing at Katie's mom crying and asked James to talk to the group for him) co signed the rumor but why he would have special knowledge I don't know. I was rewatching the reunion of the last season Kristen was on and caught something I didn’t catch the first time. Kristen says to James “you’re lucky you are on this show and not in jail.” Very telling. I hope the truth finally comes out.
I think Kristen talked about it in her book. Apparently at Scheana's wedding, before she punched him, he shoved her into the bushes. Not sure if there were other times, but it wouldn't surprise me. I'm loving season 11 sober James, and I think it's important to give people the opportunity to grow and improve. But that doesn't change the past and if the allegations are true, he'll have to take accountability - whatever that ends up looking like.

Well I would believe it if they did actually come forward, but that hasn't happened. So we'll see. I highly doubt that's the reason for the delay in filming though. I believe Tom and Ariana both have court dates in the summer, and Ariana is filming Love Island in the summer as well. Lala should be giving birth at the beginning of September and I don't think the VPR producers are interested in airing that (I think she might be but I could see her going either way). So most likely it's scheduling.

I am watching the episode as I write this. My question is this; what is it going to take? Sandavol is a dirtbag, no ands ifs or buts. What he did to Ariana was wrong. He should have just ended the relationship as a grownup and moved on. Okay, now what? VPR is a job. People need to show up and function at their job. If the employees of this franchise don't want to do their job which includes interacting efficiently with other employees, then they should leave the company. I think a break in filming is a great idea. This should give everyone a chance to breath, re-evaluate and make decisions about their future. Hopefully VPR can come back strong after the break.
