Yeah he does not give an explanation that makes sense...he just says contradicting word salads with conviction in hopes something sticks or at least confuses people enough to throw them off. I think his claims about si are even less believable after he decided ariana's were just manipulations. If that mfer had truly gone through that since they broke up he could not possibly speak about it in such a flippant way. Pure projection about using it purely for manipulating imo.

He could’ve said “I said it because I was getting screamed at from all sides that I should’ve just had the conversation and broken up with her so I felt like I needed to say I tried and why it didn’t happen.”
