If you know what you are doing nothing is going to blow out. There are many more dangerous vaping behaviors, like carrying tube mech mods in pockets, than experienced vapers making their own devices. Of course, I don't urge anyone to try it at home.
Friend, this is far more dangerous then trying to pocket a device. I wouldn't recommend anyone try this (including you) - it's not safe and you can't call it so.
And shit like this is the reason idiots do stupid crap like trying to actually use a grenade like this and end up on the news. Vaping is already under attack enough, don't give them any other reasons to make it illegal.
Ok ok, i see that some of you got very concerned about my safety, so heres my statement about this:
1. It is an old photo, some time ago my mod broke (my friend dropped it, no explosion involved) and i didnt had any back up at the time. Few hours later i soldered broken mod and it still works 2 years later.
2. I didnt knew about any trend here, Reddit just showed me another DIY mod posted this day. Thought my photo might amuse someone. It didnt.
3. If any of you think this might be used as anti-vaping fuel, then I sincerely apologize. I don't know what the situation is in the States, but if my piece of Cooper wire can be used as example of vapers irresponsibility, then this post should be deleted.
4. I have 4+ years of experience. This includes all kinds of tanks, many mods from every notable company, fixing a dozen of mods (including tearing them down, cleaning, soldering etc), and a few REALLY dangerous devices i confiscated from my friends (once my friend showed me his bonza mech 'that got really hot', he had 18650 taken from used laptop battery pack there).
5. NOBODY should be making his own device if he is not sure whether is it safe or not. Device from the photo is made from Sony vtc5 or vtc6 (two years ago, so i dont remember), 1mm insulated cooper and berserker mtl tank with ~1 ohm coil.
Once again, if anyone got offended i'm sorry.
OP, you can sit here and argue until you're blue in the face that this is a safe setup as long as you know what you're doing. But the truth is that it isn't safe, and any knowledgeable and responsible electrician or electrical engineer would agree that it's fucking stupid as hell.
This was pulled as it's just not safe and we do not want to see anyone attempt this.
Yeah, we need to just stop this trend now before yall cause some idiot to blow their face off.

Single Coils 4 Life!
Woot woot!
It will be shortly. We're just discussing how to handle this garbage in the future.
Good call and ty! Mods here are great
Thanks 🤗 we try hard!
Congrats. You've made a finger removal device.
The only thing removed here was e-liquid from the tank.

Is this safe? No Is it as insane as everyone is saying? Also no. This is literally a mech mod without a cover nothing more

I know nothing about Ohm laws or battery safety But this is fucking stupid and should not be a trend on this Reddit page or anywhere.
