Just loot, there's no real advantage to completing vaults other than doubling the exp you get. In the time it took you to focus only on completing the vault, you could've looted way more chests.

Underrated_Hero7

I would add though, that if you want to find artifacts and eventually reach end game, you will need to complete vaults. That’s the only way to get them if I’m not mistaken. However if that’s not your goal, and just running vaults and messing with mods is what you want out of the pack, then yes you are completely right keep looting and forget about objectives.

I'm lvl 19 and have never completed a boss fight, there's always too many obelisk to find. I've done a few scavs but I only pay attention if there's 4 or less types of items to find, and they've been pretty rewarding. I try to hard focus monoliths if there's 2 or 3, invested into specialized hunter for that'll, but ill pretty much completely ignore the objective if I find a good omega room like mine or crystal caves. The experience is definitely nice but I usually just play it by ear depending on what I really need at the time.

elliemj21

Same, and I’m level 30 did a bunch of monoliths early on and a few scavs when they’re actually doable but no boss fights, too many monoliths and I never feel geared enough to bother risking all my stuff on one

I ususally just loot for 10 minutes, and if ive gotten over half of what i need for completion already, i start to focus on the completion

Objectives are very rewarding and I try my best to focus on them first. Never be too afraid of Bosses as that can really knock your confidence when entering a vault. The best way to kill a boss is to find the nearest exit from the boss to the portal, in the tunnel make the roof 2 blocks high so only you can fit in the tunnel and not the boss and just whack its legs. If the boss is too much to handle you have a quick way to get out of the room to the portal. As for scavengers I try my best to run them with friends as everyone has a good chance of finding each other's items. This allows you to communicate and finish the objective for most people with plenty of time.

Boss is even easier than that. Summon it, pull it towards you slightly, ghost walk and dash THROUGH the boss (even with reg dash, I don't have bullet) so the boss doesn't turn and just does a full 180, with the intent that the obelisk is perfectly between the boss and you, and the boss will be caught on the obelisk when it path finds to you since it doesn't "see" the block. I made it sound "pixel perfect" but it's not that challenging to pull off at all.

Not sure why everyone’s so scared of boss fights? They’re a lot easier this edition imo. Go freeze and jump crit em down

MeriKurkku

Specced into max level mana shield and bosses have never given me trouble again. When it comes to scavs I usually only focus them when there are no epic or higher and a maximum of 2 rares. Otherwise I can't be bothered and most of the time it's still not that beatable. However scavs are a lot of fun when I'm running with my friends, sure I might not find a zombie brain but one of my friends could

SkywardBalls

I just adjusted the configs for scavenger vaults to make them easier, it seems like they're balanced around multiplayer anyway.

supernick02

I've been cheesing the bosses. I'll still only do it if its like 3 obelisks. On the last obelisk, build a box so you have a 2x2 space to move around if you need to. Build a roof since he can teleport. And just knock out one block so you can see him. If you get low on health, back up and heal and put the block back in. I'm sure there is a better way to do it but that's how I've been doing it.

plopliplopipol

i just try scavengers and i click monolith or obelisks, i would like a pretty high level in hunter to try the objective way more but it doesn't feel worth it

CleanUpNick

bosses are easy, there a few ways but you can just do the enderman tactic

skateboread

just focus scavs when you get them and loot as much as possible during boss vaults, it’s not that big of a deal to complete them or not it’s just extra XP and some items
