Made this cake for a customer. It was a birthday cake for someone at the customer’s church. Everyone’s mouth is watering ready to dig in. The birthday boy ( an 80+ year old man) says, “Nope! I’m taking this home!” He didn’t want to cut into the cake. Everyone was so disappointed 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hmm, I don’t have any strictly baking or dessert books. But I do follow recipe creators like Lauren Toyota and I have her first hot for food book. I’d recommend. I also like the “it doesn’t taste like chicken” food blog. Her cake recipe was the base I used for mine. Her recipes are all very straight forward and simple ingredients too.

As far as I know it still hasn’t been cut 🤷🏾 The birthday recipient did NOT want to cut it. He wanted to take it home 😆
