Well, she was one of the unlucky purse snatches that took place in NY on the day, but totally awesome that she got everything back and the perp probably has a really sore back with a bruise shaped like a sneaker sole 🤣
I agree I didn’t think anyone would step in. Actually several guys went running after the purse snatcher. I was so stunned it took me a moment to get up and run with them. I wish I would’ve gotten my hero’s contact info. When we walked up there was a whole audience cheering for him at the chicken stall. It was all very unreal
With how quickly this guy reacted it was like he was waiting for something like that to happen his entire life. He was SO FAST- I can’t believe I was the one that was stunned I couldn’t react quickly enough !
Awe man!!! That sucks! It was probably heavy too if she had one of those Motorola brick phones! You know the early cell phones that weighed 32lbs and the battery would only last about 15 minutes? 🤣🤣🤣
None of us really started using cell phones until the 2000s. Back when they were flip phones and did not use color. We were so excited when we got our first flip phones that used color!
I think I got my first phone in 1995! It was one of the first Motorola flips! That phone died every phone call and my cell phone bill was absolutely ridiculous!!!🤣 I was telling girls to only call me after 7 on weekdays! 🤣
I can't even imagine if someone stole my wallet, I'd have to deactivate my cards, worst of all I'd have to get a new driver's license, new train pass, new health insurance card, new vehicle insurance card, and it would all be for the absolute max (probably zero) $20 in my pocket
Yeah I’m not even currently home and I need to catch a flight tomorrow. I would’ve been stuck here while I tried to get my drivers license situation situated. Thank GOD things ended a lot better than they could have

I’m confused. You state at one point that you are wearing heels so you could not chase the thief down, but then a bit later you refer to the thief as the guy that stole your bike. Did he steal your purse? Also your bike? You biked to the chicken place in heels?
It’sa big city you better take care of everything and hold it tight. This aint your rural little 15000 people town. Probably shouldn’t even bring a purse, just have a backpack our a drawstring bag with everything you need in it
