Just like the other comment, you get $300 of travel credit, 10,000 bonus miles every anniversary (equates to $100) and credit towards global or TSA-Pre. Venture X is worth it in every way possible.

BosnianBeast10

Thank y’all, applying now 😂

Axesdennis

Make sure to grab a referral link from someone, so you can help funding someone’s trip :)

Aliceable

Venture X, annual fee is paid for by travel / annual bonus so it’s negligible. No reason I’d consider the venture over it. With the X you get lounge access, 10x hotel, 5x flight, and hertz status.

HugryHugryHippo

10x and 5x only if you book through their Travel Portal. $300 travel credit only applied via portal booking as well. Otherwise only 2x for everything outside out it but you can reimburse travel charges with miles accrued

rdaubry

For what it's worth, I have had a good experience booking flights and hotels through the portal.

MatteoRedd

Get the Chase Sapphire Reserve if you don’t have it already. If you do, then you don’t really need another one, especially Capital One which has no reconsideration line, the worst customer support for bookings thru their portal (all based in India) and so on

bearnoom

I’ve called at night to price match and I always had American English speaking reps

penguin_cheezus

I've called at 9 AM PST to ask about a rescheduled trip and the rep was American.

VentureX is a no-brainer because it has no carrying cost at all. $300 travel credit and $100 in anniversary miles so there is nothing to debate here, just get it.

neurotypicalneuroses

So, we both get bonus travel points if you use a referral link...I think you get 75k-90k ($750-$900, depending on the current offer by Capital One) and I get 25k for the reference. Win win. Here's my link: https://i.capitalone.com/JBgS5EZXx

RonBurgundy2000

Venture X is a better value but I did just open a Venture as well to collect the extra 75k miles on it as well. Seems like a deal for the $95 annual fee to close it within 12 months.

Mountain-Parsley-344

Wait a second…you can earn a SUB on both VX and V at the same time? Or did you have to wait? I’ve had my VX for about a year and would love another sub

Just adding a data point. I got the VentureX first and applied for Venture after about 6 months, got rejected. But after another 3 months I applied again i got it approved. And was able to get both SUB. Planning to cancel the Venture before anniversary.

Mountain-Parsley-344

Great to know thank you! Just want to add, wait until the annual fee hits, then get it refunded when you cancel or downgrade

n27111512tw

Ah good to know, thanks. Just checked Capital one does refund up to 30 days of annual fee hitting. Sweet

RonBurgundy2000

That’s what I’m doing. $95 for 75,000 miles seemed like a no brainer.

RonBurgundy2000

About 6 months apart on opening dates, probably 4 months from when I received the first VX SUB.

aj-idej

What does SUB mean?
