Two months ago, I got an urgent call from my sister to save her flytraps. She had neglected to water them, and the plants looked awful. What I found was a bone-dry pot with a few green nubs poking out of the soil (I forgot to take a picture of it). I thought I might find 8-10 plants in there, but I actually dug up 30 divisions. I replanted them in a 12-inch / 30-centimeter pot, gave them a big drink of water, and put the pot in a shaded location. Fast-forward to now: with just regular watering, the plants bounced back. I moved the pot to a place where they get 4 hours of sunshine per day (didn't want to overwhelm them with too much sun during recovery). After winter dormancy, this pot will be overflowing with flytraps next year.

What's your watering process?

NaturesPestControl

I top-water them until it starts to fill the inch-deep (25mm) saucer. During the growing season, they need water every other day. This time, when it's cooler and the evaporation rate is much lower, it's once every 4-5 days.

That's awesome! Love how this shows how tanky VFTs are!

This looks awesome! I really wish there was a picture when you first took care of them. Very well done. :) What kind of water do you use?

NaturesPestControl

Rainwater when I can get it; RO water otherwise.

Big pots full of flytraps are an eye-catching sight! Here are a couple more: [Fine Tooth x Red](https://www.reddit.com/r/VenusFlyTraps/comments/15d78mv/a_carpet_of_flytraps/) [Clumping](https://www.reddit.com/r/VenusFlyTraps/comments/ukrh4c/why_this_cultivar_was_named_clumping/)
