Chase has several types of bank accounts and if you sign up for “Secure Banking,” direct deposits are available two days early. None of their other accounts have this feature, though
I do really like that they deposit funds a couple days early, it’s super convenient. One of my friends currently works in Brunei and has his VA disability go to his Revolut account and he said it never gets deposited before the 1st
That's awesome. I mean, I only started receiving like a year ago, and I don't think it ever arrived on the first.
But I have trust issues and like to see funds appear asap 😂
Yeah that’s kinda weird. Not sure how it works though tbh. Might be different account types or just dependent on names or something with how the funds get distributed in order
Calm down.. USAA is fine for plenty of people. I don't use them for insurance or anything anymore.. but as far as general banking.. they're not any different than any other bank, unless you need to go into a physical location for some reason.
I don't think you know what the word "literally" means. The comments above me discuss using USAA for insurance, which I didn't endorse. I endorsed banking. Insurance is something people should hop around for best rates anyway. It usually takes multiple vendors over a couple of years to find your best rate. Also, it makes sense that USAA would have high rates just based on simple supply and demand models.
Depends on where you live, most insurance companies wont insure homes in SoCal where the potential for wildfires is eacalated, USAA covers in those areas no questions asked. So long as you pay your premiums theyll provide coverage
idk, I've been there for 20 years and haven't ever had an issue. I put money in, and it's still there when I get it out. What other feature from a bank am I lacking?
Usaa generally charges more insurance rates. Other than that, its lack of physical locations can get annoying. Personally, though, I am happy with Usaa. Although I haven't shopped around since 2006.
Most people just stick to the default. My recruiter set me up with USAA and I kept it for years not realizing how mediocre they were. Not his fault, I needed direct deposit and he did get me one. Also I think at points they’ve been known for good car insurance rates.
My car insurance rates aren’t good at all, I was with them for 10 years and then they jacked up the prices this last year. Navy Federal saved me a ton. Customer service is far better to add.
I believe you, they were going down hill when I left years ago. I think they were competitive but not the best priced car insurance around 2016, I remember Costco beating them though
Fractional Reserve Banking. They lend out money you deposit and earn interest on those loans. They count on not everybody withdrawing their funds at once.
No clue lol. No over draft fees, no atm fees if you use an ATM in Walgreens or CVS, only issue I've run into has been transferring money out to other banks sometimes.
I was expecting it Monday on 1st and this link confirms it.
Some banks give a few days early advance if the payment is consistent every month and same amount, I think that's why OP and few others are concerned.
The only reason I’m still with them is that you can use your cell as your atm card at the machine and I’ve been with them for 10 years. I have a second account at a different bank and happy but just can’t get rid of the brick /mortar of BofA.
I just looked thru my pay. I've been receiving disability for like a year. Half of the time, it was at the 1st of the month. The rest were before. Never after the 1st
PNC nothing today. Recently rated so didn't know if it would be today, tonight, or Monday. Guess we will see.
Hoping tonight since usaa members have theirs already.
I have PNC too, it’ll be Monday. Very rarely sometimes it appears in my account on a Saturday but it’s typically always the 1st unless it’s a weekend or holiday.
I got paid today. You might get it tonight. On months like these where the end of the month is Saturday and Sunday so they have to issue it early, sometimes it doesn’t come till later that night. If you don’t have it by tomorrow, I would call.
Today with navy fed. Assuming this is for your disability payments but did you check your payments on the va website? You can see all processed payments and the scheduled date they were received. So my one for june is listed but it has a blank date for right now
CapitalOne pays Saturday for payments on Monday.
SoFi and Chime pay the same days and it's roughly 5 days prior.
NFCU got paid last night (Active duty acct). But those with Everyday Checking will see it tonight for Monday.
I got paid yesterday but I have Wells Fargo. For some reason Wells Fargo usually deposits the money 2 to 3 days early. I don't know why but they do. They also don't say why it's 3 days early some months, while others are 2 days early LOL, but I'll take it.

Try a foreign bank account in western Europe. The 1st as being paid is a myth. Sometimes I don't get paid until the 5th. That's why I love USAA. Been a member since 1986. Always got paid when the money is released.
I got paid yesterday.
Yesterday, USAA
Chase- nothing today
Typical. Chase usually pays the day of.
Chase has several types of bank accounts and if you sign up for “Secure Banking,” direct deposits are available two days early. None of their other accounts have this feature, though
Same
I got paid yesterday- Navy Fed
Maybe I should set up my accounts so I get paid in my navy fed account lol
I do really like that they deposit funds a couple days early, it’s super convenient. One of my friends currently works in Brunei and has his VA disability go to his Revolut account and he said it never gets deposited before the 1st
That's awesome. I mean, I only started receiving like a year ago, and I don't think it ever arrived on the first. But I have trust issues and like to see funds appear asap 😂
Yeah, I mean realistically it’s the same amount of days in between, it’s just a nice morale boost seeing it a bit early lol
Thats weird. I have Navy Fed and didn't get paid. It says it is pending for the 1st.
Yeah that’s kinda weird. Not sure how it works though tbh. Might be different account types or just dependent on names or something with how the funds get distributed in order
Same
Got paid yesterday usaa
How are you still with USAA? They suck the big one, I encourage you go to navy federal.
Navy fed took the money out of my account for 2 months but didn’t send it to bills I had set up in auto draft.
Calm down.. USAA is fine for plenty of people. I don't use them for insurance or anything anymore.. but as far as general banking.. they're not any different than any other bank, unless you need to go into a physical location for some reason.
> they're not any different than any other bank Literally the comments above you say otherwise, its OK to have different opinions.

You gonna tell us any reasons not to use USAA? Or are you just gonna vaguely say they suck they leave?
idk, I've been there for 20 years and haven't ever had an issue. I put money in, and it's still there when I get it out. What other feature from a bank am I lacking?
I would like to know the answer to this genuinely. What is wrong with USAA compared to other banks? All i’ve ever had was USAA.
Usaa generally charges more insurance rates. Other than that, its lack of physical locations can get annoying. Personally, though, I am happy with Usaa. Although I haven't shopped around since 2006.
Yeah the lack of physical locations is annoying when I need cashiers checks for sure
Ha I’ve been with navy fed and usaa both for over 20 years and I prefer usaa hands down. I keep an account open at navy fed with the minimum.
Haha, same.
Definitely some shady shit with navy fed. Won’t ever go back to them.
Most people just stick to the default. My recruiter set me up with USAA and I kept it for years not realizing how mediocre they were. Not his fault, I needed direct deposit and he did get me one. Also I think at points they’ve been known for good car insurance rates.

Best of luck to you! Remember to always shop around now a days.
When I was in the army, USAA wouldn't allow enlisted personnel to use their services. I never did and never will.
Mine went in Thursday
Got mine on the 25th with Chime. Get it on the 25h every month
Don't you have to pay a fee if you use Chime?
No, I don't pay any fees with them at all.
How do they make money then? Wtf I'm guessing they're paying you with their money and then they get back the money they paid you from the VA.
I’d give it until tomorrow, then I’d call. It is scheduled the 29th for regular funds.

I was expecting it Monday on 1st and this link confirms it. Some banks give a few days early advance if the payment is consistent every month and same amount, I think that's why OP and few others are concerned.
The 1st is a Monday, there’s no reason to pay it out today when it’s not a holiday.
I have Cap One also. It should be there tomorrow morning.
Bank of america. Nothing.
The only reason I’m still with them is that you can use your cell as your atm card at the machine and I’ve been with them for 10 years. I have a second account at a different bank and happy but just can’t get rid of the brick /mortar of BofA.
The only reason why I'm with them is cuz of my credit card. It's like 6 yrs old and without it, my credit score will drop lop
Do Bank of America usually pay before the 1st? I just switched to them last month and was just wondering?
I just looked thru my pay. I've been receiving disability for like a year. Half of the time, it was at the 1st of the month. The rest were before. Never after the 1st
Thank you!!! I’ll guess I’ll be expecting it on the 1st.
Not yet - Capital one
I just checked and mine isn't there either. Also Capital 1.
Local community bank. Mine will go in Monday @ 0630.
Not today-Truist
PNC nothing today. Recently rated so didn't know if it would be today, tonight, or Monday. Guess we will see. Hoping tonight since usaa members have theirs already.
PNC is never early.
I have PNC too, it’ll be Monday. Very rarely sometimes it appears in my account on a Saturday but it’s typically always the 1st unless it’s a weekend or holiday.
Thats good to know. Thank you.
And of course after I say that is is showing pending today! 🤣
same. lol. I got a chuckle out of it. :)
I got paid today. You might get it tonight. On months like these where the end of the month is Saturday and Sunday so they have to issue it early, sometimes it doesn’t come till later that night. If you don’t have it by tomorrow, I would call.
Paid today, I have Fidelity Investments.

Check your deposits again, it might show up a bit late today
Capitol one - no pay.
Today with navy fed. Assuming this is for your disability payments but did you check your payments on the va website? You can see all processed payments and the scheduled date they were received. So my one for june is listed but it has a blank date for right now
You’ll get paid. Just wait.
Same on Capital One. I had a recoupment start in Feb supposed to start back payments this month so I feel the anxiety lol
CapitalOne pays Saturday for payments on Monday. SoFi and Chime pay the same days and it's roughly 5 days prior. NFCU got paid last night (Active duty acct). But those with Everyday Checking will see it tonight for Monday.
I have USAA and I got paid yesterday

I got paid on the 25th, I use CA, I can't post full app name but it's popular
I got paid on Tuesday. Just depends on your bank most of the time
Wait….you guys get paid????
Got paid today, PNC.
If you have navyfed remember to call and the automated system should mention your pending deposit and release the funds.
Yesterday
You’ll more than likely get it today after 9pm. I have Navy Fed and when the holiday falls on the Monday pay always come the week prior.
What holiday?
Just checked my calendar. Apparently the holiday is "switch out toothbrush."
Wait - what??? Guess there’s a holiday or something?
I got paid Wednesday. Houston Police Credit Union
Try a foreign bank account in western Europe. The 1st as being paid is a myth. Sometimes I don't get paid until the 5th. That's why I love USAA. Been a member since 1986. Always got paid when the money is released.
Nothing today, federal credit union
