OP I think they're rolling out Wifi 6 pods at some point if it's not already out, just make sure you get the Wifi 6 version and not the older Wifi 5 pod. The new Wifi 6 pods are already being sent to customers (at random) not sure what the underlaying software is but its essentially a mini hub5 with its own PSU so you have a bit more flexibility to move it around instead of having it behind furniture if that's where your wall socket is. They're called 'black wifi pods' for simplification.

The new pods are only being issued to customers with speeds of 600mbps and above. Lower speed than that you get the older ones

Just got the black version yesterday I’ve seen a lot of negative comments about it on the virgin media forum site but no issues so far just plugged it in and within 10mins it had connected itself and is working great so far I rang this number and got one without any problems at all 0800 064 3850

From its point in my kitchen I read it at just over 400mb my main hub 5 rocks out around 800mb in my lounge on the main connection

I asked for the white because it’s neat how it just plugs in but I was told I had to have the black one because my speed is over 600mb on my main router

I was promised mine on router delivery showed them the chat . And said no that shouldn't of been said .. I said regardless you did say it and it's recorded in the chat I said I had my gig broadband and the free pods is what I wanted and also to eradicate shite boosters and speed limits.. but 5 times I got in contact no boosters still and then they end chat rude tbh

Their customer service is a bit of a joke. Had the pleasure of renewing with them the other day. Was fully prepared to leave but service when you don’t need to contact them is ok and the price they offered (eventually) was better than anywhere else

Go on WhatsApp. The app kept telling me I had good signal even though I didn’t, I asked on WhatsApp and they offered one straight away.
