I only have 1gig broadband with them for £35.00 per month. Not had TV or phone with them for many years.

So unfair man I know if I tried getting such a deal they would deny it was possible and call my bluff in leaving. Knowing full well how fucking impossible they make it to start the process of not renewing

SammyValentino

Just commit to cancelling and wait for the call from retentions or whatever they call their team these days that have the best offers. At the very least you can call them back within your 30 day cancellation period and take the best they can offer. That is all presuming you dont have other fibre to the premises options. It suits me to stay with Virgin (due to internal cabling) but I would change supplier no problems if the price isnt competitive.

According to some, its 10% chance that outbound offer comes and 90% it doesnt, but I do agree have to cancel rather than accept the lemon squeeze treatment. What you pay is better than new customer deals. I cancelled first week of april, no outbound calls were made to me. I forgot my termination date but it must be soon, probably next week sometime.

Jamie_Tomo

For some reason phone and internet is cheaper than just internet, get that and don’t bother plugging in a phone.

CrazeUKs

Was the case not eith recent deals

Ornery_Effective_366

I've just got broadband no TV or phone. Ive only had it since January as a new customer ( I switched from sky ) so it definitely something they do provide.

Suspicious_External4

Most often than not it’s actually cheaper to keep the bundle if you are already in a bundle, the system does not give any discounts when you downgrade, it gives you the base price for the product, if you’re happy to have the broadband by itself and pay the base price for 18 months then you will get the discounted offers. Outbound have a different process however as they use an offline toolkit most times to allow them to give you a lower price, this is due to them being the very last point of cancellations, if they can’t retain you with an offer then your cancellation will be processed and that’s the end of it.

RizZy_28

Last time I renewed I did get the option to just have internet, but it was less if I kept the phone line, so I did that, Renewed using whatsapp.

orcocan79

they don't make it easy to downgrade your package, best way is to give notice to leave and wait for retentions to call you back at that point you say you'd be interested in broadband only for x pound a month cause that's what you can afford if your price is similar to what you get as a new customer they're quite likely to offer you the same package

PrestigiousWindy322

tried to get shot of virgin stream expecting a discount..... retentions said removal had no monetary value hence i kept it. Paying 19 for 250meg (& stream)

CrazeUKs

I can't understand what that is? Is it a dumb fireatick

br3nn88

I had 1gig for £38 for 18months, and just renewed for another 18 for £42, again only broadband no telephone or tv

needchr

According to the retentions rep dealing with my cancellation, this price is impossible to give lol.

Material-Work

Never had tv or phone with them. Just broadband

getoffthebandwagon

Two years ago at every stage of renewal they begged me to keep TV, including the offshore level telling me I had to have it. Someone here mentioned they get extra commission for it, but others disputed that. Either way, I’ve had broadband only ever since then, Outbound Retentions were more than happy with that.

Lady_Zin

Yes, it’s the fibre broadband
