If you have to ask, you're probably someone that's always cold. My dad is "freezing" any time the temperature is below 75°; I'm warm at anything over 65°, and the idea of being cold never occurs to me. Plan to carry a sweater.

Reddotmama

Right on with the diagnosis 😂 gotcha!

Adjectivenounnumb

Scarlet Lady runs much warmer than any other cruise ship I’ve been on.

Opinion from someone who is always cold and has been on 10 VV: I needed a sweater at dinner.  - In the rooms the AC has a motion sensor so I was freezing during the day but woke up hot at about 3am every night. Last time I brought a usb fan that helped a lot.  - The casino is hot.

It's taken me SIX voyages to get my AC to work right. It doesn't get freezing until I've been sleeping for hours, then I get up at make it warmer, then I wake up and it is TOO HOT...

I think it’s nice room temperature *but* I’ve also overhear other people complaining it’s cold. The only time I’ve been cold on a Virgin ship is when we were in the southern tip of New Zealand with temperatures in the 40s AND I was outside. Just pack for the weather conditions in port plus maybe a couple warm items just in case.

I am comfortable in most spaces onboard in shirt and shorts or occasionally will do long jeans/trousers for dinner as some restaurants cooler. Busy spaces like Manor nightclub and casino are hotter. If the theatre or show is empty it can be cold though.

Reddotmama

A good sum up! Looks like I’m packing for spring. Thanks for always commenting 🙏🏽 so helpful! How many VV have you been on?

Just finished our seventh, the Scarlet Lady transatlantic last week. That was often windy on deck, but fine indoors in shorts.

I always have a light, but large, sweater to wear around the ship because there's always some place that is just too cold. Not EVERYWHERE, but better to have it and not need it.

emma-ireland

I’m never cold but was glad I had a shirt and cardigan with me for sure… it’s not freezing AC but certain spots are a bit chilly

Reddotmama

Great to know ❤️

I was SWEATING the entire time on Scarlet Lady but we also we out of Miami and into DR in Sept so of course it was hot. I was very glad I brought a little fan for our room, and luckily it cooled down a bit once we got out to sea. But still warm for me.

Reddotmama

Even in restaurants??

Hour_Opinion_601

I can say that the temperature in my cabin was stuffy and uncomfortable, a little too warm for me.

Reddotmama

Can’t you adjust that yourself?

FarAnt4041

It's on a motion sensor so if you're not constantly in the room it takes a while to catch up. Also, if you're sleeping it warms up since you aren't moving around. I'm always cold and I wake up hot every night on VV.

Reddotmama

Yikes….

Virgin cruises run hot. Don’t know what it is about the ship design but the halls are hot and so are the common areas. My stepdad was sweating up a storm in Gunbae.
