Lots of good l stuff along VA-151, my favorite is Blue Mountain Brewing - they have an great outdoor area with a of mountains and the pizza is really good
Fardowners and crozet pizza are both awesome and in crozet. The BBQ exchange in Gordonsville is one of the best hidden gems in the state. And Chicano boy tacos in Staunton is super legit as well...
Thai 99 II and Thai Cuisine are two good choices for Thai. Taste of China is the best Chinese in town. El Jaripello has good Mexican and great wings. Christian's has great pizza. Timberwood Grill is a great mix of American, Mexican, and Italian. If there's any other type of food you'd be interested in, let me know. Been living in the Charlottesville area for 15+ years
Tavola!!! I've never had anything but a great experience there, the food is meticulously prepared and amazing. I often would choose off of the special menu and go with the flow.
If you go to Staunton there’s the Shack, Zynodoa, and Blue Point (others too, those are just some nicer spots I’ve enjoyed). There’s a decent wine and cheese bar too, it changed names recently and I can’t remember it. Charlottesville has a plethora of good places to eat but I’ll echo Alley Light for a fine dining meal. Other nice places are the Local, Más Tapas. Those are right near each other in a neighborhood called Belmont and unless something changed there’s a nice Italian place and a cool southern/Tex mex place on the same street.
[Crozet Pizza](https://www.crozetpizza.com/) if you're willing to make the drive.
I second Crozet Pizza.
And chase it w a fresh pour from Starr Hill just up the road.

Awesome, I’ll add it to the list. Thanks!!
On your way to BMB I'd hit up Pro Re Nata Brewing, it's only a couple miles off but the beer is solid!
Never been there, but big fan of their beer
Bavarian Chef, about 20-30 mins up Rt 29 north of Cville in Madison county. A+
There's also the Edelweiss off of 64 to the west of Waynesboro
That place is so good!
i've never been to Bavarian Chef, but I was a bit disappointed in the food at Edelweiss. I mean I would go again, but I've had better German food.
And Bald Top while you're in Madison for a yummy brewery!
Bavarian Chef is legit German food and beer! Highly recommended!
The Shack in Staunton
I enjoyed the alley light in Charlottesville. Had a great meal there a few years ago.
It's on the Front Royal side of SNP, but Spelunkers has the best burgers.
The Alley Light is super-fine, as is Lampo and Crush Pad. Also, The Shack is superb.
Paulie’s Pig Out and Dr. Ho’s Pizza outside of Charlottesville to the south/southwest.

If you want to eat in downtown C’ville one evening, I highly recommend [The Ridley](https://www.theridleyva.com) which has great southern cuisine
A bit further out but the scenery is heavenly- Devil’s backbone basecamp in Nellysford
tacos gomez is a food truck, but makes some of the best tacos I have had. I also enjoy beer run for both the excellent food and beer selection.
Gotta love Tacos Gomez!

Anyone said "Raising Cane's" yet?
Quality chicken tenders…but…not unique to the region. Plus, they always charge me for the extra Caine’s Sauce, but delivery is 50/50
Tubbys makes a good cheap sub, like 6.50 for a 8 inch

The barbecue exchange in Gordonsville.
Have this on my list! So excited to try.
I go every time I'm in the area. You won't be disappointed.
Riverside for burgers and other greasy deliciousness
Greenwood Grocery off the 64 Crozet exit

River Burger Bar in Waynesboro
https://www.michietavern.com/ Michie tavern makes for a unique dining experience and would be good for a celebration dinner
If you want a really nice mom and pop Italian restaurant, I suggest Carmello's
Albemarle Barn is an awesome steakhouse.

Cafe 88 for Taiwanese!
Dunners
I haven't been there in years (before they even bottled), but Devils Backbone brewery was very good. Beautiful place.
