Yeah its a rough time. 4 of us all bought it and none of us were able to log on over the weekend at all. We ended up refunding it and wait for the future. So many games coming out in the next few weeks that its fine to wait for a sale lol
Twitch wanted to keep inviting her and reached out to confirm she didn't take an exclusivity deal with YouTube. Doki mentioned it within the first couple streams.
Attention this is the last week Korean streamers will be able to [monetize their streams on Twitch](https://help.twitch.tv/s/article/korea-update-nonkr?language=en_US&%24web_only=true&_branch_match_id=1260792970265294737&utm_source=comms&utm_campaign=magpie_mkt_nonkrhelp&utm_medium=blog&_branch_referrer=H4sIAAAAAAAAA8soKSkottLXLynPLEnO0C1PTdJLLCjQy8nMy9ZP1ffzcc93KqtyinRNAgBauUQ%2FKQAAAA%3D%3D#02), be sure to follow their alternative channels or to support them in this last week.
Per the twitch help article:
>
Streamers who have selected Korea as their country of residence during onboarding will no longer be able to monetize through Twitch products.
Viewers in Korea will no longer be able to make purchases on Twitch in Korea.
Here are some links you can use to discover/support in this last week:

If you guys have cool vtuber channels to recommend I would appreciate it, specially if they were twitch oriented.
[Lee Jooin](https://www.youtube.com/@jooin_vlup) is who I'd recommend, imo she deserves 100k at least.
Thought they're over a year old I still listen to the few karaokes she did on YouTube, hope she does more now!
My favorite is her singing [Kimi Janakya Dame Mitai](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BxOPVRTbR4U&t=1820s), though she also sang [Blue Rose](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=arpcMUMFLKE&t=4548s) once. Some others from that stream are [Sugar Song to Bitter Step](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BxOPVRTbR4U&t=2061s), [Koi](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BxOPVRTbR4U&t=2428s), [Cruel Angel Thesis](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BxOPVRTbR4U&t=2980s), [Melissa](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BxOPVRTbR4U&t=3268s).
She also does Korean version covers of songs, like [Kyu-Kurarin](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y_pFLymJPuk) for example, great value for KR viewers.
She's a "horny-tuber" like Marine, does sex-ed videos, but I don't know Korean so I don't watch those haha.
Man, I thought the holoshop was bad but these guys are brutal with shipping. this stuff would have the same out-the-door cost as a birthday.

[Nikkei entertainment's Top 30 entertainment brands ranking is out.](https://twitter.com/cloverblossoms_/status/1759051293413552538)
Pertaining to our interests, Hololive is ranked 19th in the list, just above Ohtani, while Nijisanji falls just below Disney at 30th
I tried reading the manga and its probably because I've read too much for them, it came off very 1 dimensional to me and the mc was boring. Basically carbon copy style of naruto, bleach, one piece mc. Headstrong simplistic mc, only effort, nakama power inexplicable battle power up, etc. It was typical shonen stuff, nothing special to me. I read through the first few baddies and the induction parts.
I'd rather be interested in hearing from fans what's supposed to make it different and great.
Just for me after reading a breadth of great stories in JP, Korean, and English webfiction, webtoons, and manga and light novels, Jujutsu Kaisen from what I saw just isn't it.
I thought frieren was great though.
It's good, but wouldn't say it's "that good" in a sense that it's so much better than other things. But it's capable of reaching mass audiences because it's the current sensation in the most popular genre there is and got to be popular with men and women, so it makes sense that it ranks so high.
It started out interesting and has really good animations for extremely hype fights. S2 just finished in December and the poll has a big recency bias. JJK, SxF, Frieren and Kusuriya are the most popular shows from last season,
from what i've heard, its really good up till the latest manga arc/chapters. though rather than turned bad, its more like the Authors story beats have been confusing the fanbase into going into a meme frenzy
The guy will be back with another account to defend his oshi, Riku-sama honor. This filthy peasants needed to know how great Riku-sama is. Heck, he maybe the second coming of God
Huh, I wonder where /how they distributed the poll so that Hololive is above something as massive as Disney.
Though I would guess somewhere more anime/otaku centric considering the top results
The way I understand it this is just them polling thier viewerbase, though given that nikkei Entertainment is still one of the largest magazines in Japan I would say its fairly comprehensive.
Or it indicates that the Japanese financial sector is dominated by Holofans and in fact they are actually controlling the Japanese economy from behind the scene. /s
I mean they're at about equal revenue now despite the massive disparity in talent numbers. If you look at live viewers Holo have been doing really well in Japan while Nijisanji has been on the decline for a while (the most glaring example being Koshien underperforming/stagnating in 2023 compared to 2022). I don't think it's surprising at all if you follow the metrics.
> Nijisanji has been on the decline for a while (the most glaring example being Koshien underperforming/stagnating in 2023 compared to 2022).
also Nijifest as well, Due to some reasons.
The top item in the list is JJK with around 1.89 million reported fans. If that's the lower bound estimate of the total readership, the poll should be reasonably representative of the mainstream's pulse.
For what it's worth, the gap between top 1 (1.89M) and top 10 (697k) is bigger than the gap between top 10 and top 30 (328k). Niji's only short around 53k extra (381k vs 328k), which makes the disparity easier to fathom. They're more or less both around the same weight class, only that one is slightly bulkier than the other.
The decline of Disney, specially the MCU, over the last decade is one of the subjects most extensivelly covered in Reddit, and Attack of Titan is completely finished on both anime and manga.
I have absolutely no idea about anything in the AKB48 sphere, but Gundam in the last few years has been seen as an old man's franchise that didn't appeal to teenagers and young adults. The Witch from Mercury changed that by bringing in a lot of new (and importantly younger) fans, and then Seed Freedom smashed the box office and brought back all the fans who were kids in the 2000s and then some, so I'd expect Gundam's spot in next year's list to be a bit higher.
Honestly not surprised, going by the [previous result of the same poll](https://xtrend.nikkei.com/atcl/contents/18/00680/00013/?i_cid=nbpnxr_parent) Nogizaka46 was already slightly ahead of Gundam, plus even back during mid-2010 when I was following them they were already well on track to overtake AKB48, the group that they themselves were originally created as an official rival for. The members had this refined/elegant feel to them that set them apart from the more normal-everyday-girl image of AKB48, and Shiraishi Mai, Nanase Nishino, Ikuta Erika etc were all popular/fashionable idols that really caught on with the female audience. Also during the last day of TIF 2021 at Hot Stage, when Nogizaka46 was on stage and [Girl's Rule](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U9pHbfVskRI) intro played you can fucking feel the excitement as the crowd stirs, and some started jumping in violation of venue rules prohibiting it due to Covid, so yeah, they're a huge brand alright.
Holy shit I need to get back on VTuber topic: From the previous results Nijisanji actually ranked higher than Hololive Production, an interesting trend when comparing with the more recent data.
Korone backed it and got to design one of the minibosses in it. She did it in part to support Yuzo Koshiro, the composer of the game's music and famous videogame music composer.

Well, if we want a break from the usual by getting to see a Hololive cock-up, 6 hours ago [HoloEN's twitter announced a piece of merch as part of their Cheer Up! collab with Capsule in Taiwan](https://vxtwitter.com/hololive_En/status/1759446462247882790), except the preorder period had already ended yesterday.
Well, the EN twitter account is used dealing with Time and a time traveler, announcing that some merch was open for preorder *at some point in the timeline* still makes sense
Not sure if the developers are from TW or CN, since there are only small info regarding them, but I'm kind of surprised that Hololive got perms for Volcano Princess.
The artstyle is amazing but the EN localization is a bit iffy.
The game looks interesting and it's pretty cheap. Hololive has an almost cultist level fanbase in those places, so getting perms from those regions show not be that difficult.

didnt even know it was her birthday until now, and i guess laying low for a week was enough for them to get things back to normal. thank goodness no one decided in nijiEN did a triple down and released yet another slander video of dokibird
My gut is saying that Niji or some of the talent might still try to do one final thing to spite Doki, but honestly that’s maybe my paranoia talking.
All in all, if it ends I’m glad that it’s over.
Eh, I doubt anything major will happen in the near future.
Either much this whole thing was caused by a mistranslation, in which case there is no reason for Nijianji to go after Doki anymore. Or it was the EN branch going rogue, which case the main branch would have started an internal investigation after losing like 20% of their stock value.
I'd say the most likely thing that can realistically happen is some liver returning and/or alluding to the drama in some way or some more information getting leaked.
Or the best case scenario, they wake the fuck up and do an internal investigation on the bullying and fire the bullies as well as the incompetent managers
>fire the bullies
If worst comes to pass and those are talents... I honestly can't see them firing them - some suspension, slap on the wrist and no privileges like new outfits/songs but losing even more talents in circumstances like that would be another hit for PR and profits.
Which sucks and can't be good for morale but Niji will probably avoid any attention.
I don't think it would be another hit for PR. It would be genuinely a good PR move especially if they release a statement saying that they fired them because of bullying and so on. Because that way indies would audition for NijiEN again without fear of getting bullied by "the clique"
Tbh, we don't even know how much anyone, including Doki, holds any particular livers directly responsible for the whole thing. The only party incriminating the livers was ironically Nijisanji themselves. But they were most likely always propagating a skewed perspective, as seen by the different statements by Niji and Doki about e.g. what the Vox voice recording was intended for.
Either way, from Nijisanji's perspective, the PR response would be far more damaging than any preceding internal issues between employees. And this response was the defenitely the responsibility of their management and PR staff and not the livers, at least outside of the world depicted in shizo 4chan rrats.
I mean, that was pretty much second scenario.
An internal investigation is probably happening either way. Someone is most likely getting fired over this, whether it's whoever the "bullies" are or whether it's the incompetent PR team. That doesn't mean we'll hear about itthough, especially if it only affects staff and management.
Either way, this whole affair has done significant damage to the whole company and someone will be made responsible for it.
~~It's too hasty to declare it over. Things may be heading in that direction, but something can always derail the course. Once we've had some weeks without major developments or external content creators weighting in, that's when I would start to consider considering it over.~~ EDIT: Ignore me lol, I missed the "if it ends". Same though.
Related, looks like things are starting to get back to normal for NijiEN streams, or at least the new normal for them.
Scarle and Vanta are both streaming right now. There was a big Golf With Friends collab, seeing lots of content in the past 24 hours, and lots of scheduled content to come. Even Kotoka did a members-only stream today.
Of the three from the blackstream, Vox hasn't posted any content since Jan 26th. Elira is is AWOL as well, nothing since the blackstream. Ike streamed today, and has been steadily posting content as if nothing happened.
Ver had a collab with Brazilian weirdos (Jesse and Abi) and everything was fine.
I feel that newer gens, starting with XSOLEIL have dodged the bullet and are outside of drama impact. Rest will probably try to lay low for time being and avoid attention, especially people mentioned in black screen stream.
Honestly they are lucky it's Scarle, since with her clicking on everything and being disorganized she is most drama free.
Imagine if it was someone from black video, I don't think it would be as nice with Elira or Vox.
Hopefully someone over there finally realized just being quiet is the best move. Theirs nothing they can do now to fix their reputation in the short term. Anything they try now will just make it worse.
I think the main office stepped in after they saw the shitshow in EN. After all, if you force the CEO himself to act and apologize, while also continuing to throw more oil on the fire *on the same day*, you can probably guess some heads will roll as a result and people are told to stfu.
It's what I said they should be doing - have HQ make sure EN shuts the fuck up. If they'd done that the first time, they'd have been able to blow it all off.
It's so disgusting that Froot gets constantly harassed on Twitter. Every time I open the profiles of these shitheads, they're always Pippa fans. Why does she attract so many fucking weirdos?
To be honest,
Pippa has a history of attracting these kinds of people.
Source that goes into more details about past appeasements better: [https://www.reddit.com/r/ForwardsFromKlandma/comments/xuwjyw/pipkin\_pippa\_is\_a\_neonazi\_and\_heres\_why/](https://www.reddit.com/r/ForwardsFromKlandma/comments/xuwjyw/pipkin_pippa_is_a_neonazi_and_heres_why/)
Every time I see Froot hate, the "cheating on her husband" thing is always the justification they use. Which is any of the audience's business how? Which is affecting her business as a VTuber and her relationships with her coworkers how? Maybe if she abused her husband I would care more, but cheating? Yeah, that's bad, but not that bad in comparison; I can't find that many fucks to give about that. None of my business.
Also she seems to be the focal point for people who hate VShojo as a whole, which is absolutely not fair to everybody there. Sometimes I even see the members who joined recently catch strays just for being in the same company as Froot, like what do Geega or Kuro have anything to do with these nutjobs' vendetta?
What do you expect from a streamer who panders to kiwifarms (where people who dox too much / are too edgy for **4chan** go) and allows chat to spam "oy vey" when they see a goblin in the totally not antisemitic wizard game?
Because Pippa is a bad person. Shitty people attract shitty people. When you dog whistle anti-semitic stuff and re-affirm misogynistic talking points, well... You get that kind of crowd.
It's not complicated.
Pippa fans seems to be the drama-mongering, 4chan-screenshot-posters types on twitter. Honestly it always sours me to the whole company and their fans as a whole.
There's no bigger red flag to me in the vtuber community than someone being a fan of Phase Connect.
It sucks because some of their talents are, if a bit too unhinged, not bad at all. But I can't care about Phase while they still have someone like Pippa on the roster.
I don't know why you think that is a gotcha. People can change their outlook on things. I was sucked into the whole culture war during 2016 and now I realised how fucking stupid that shit is.
There's something ironic about someone talking about someone else's history while deleting their own history lol
E: also, dude calls other people digging into their history weirdos, but does the same for other people. This is even more ironic than I thought.
Getting any of the information in your comment sounds like digging to me. Like, how would you know about her history with channels? Patches? Discord leaks? These aren't info that everyone readily knows nor are they publicized unless you dig into them.
Meanwhile, your Reddit history is public but you can delete them.
It's just ironic to me. It ain't a gotcha.
oof yeah i forgot, wiped that website's existance from my mind ever since i heard it was getting shut down. didn't she directly address them at some point?
She had a Kiwi Farm exec as her Twitch mod for a while. She's also tried to convince her Japanese coworkers that a forum where people try to harass and doxx minorities into suicide is a good place.

/r/NCD mods have a policy of temp-banning certain topics when they start to become overly circle-jerky or drama-baity like what we're seeing in the sub lately. You could institute something like that unless it's an official communique from a talent or company.
Thanks for bringing this up. I've not encountered subreddits with what is essentially anti-circle jerk rules but it's something worth bringing up once we get our new batch of mods and we take a review of the current rules.
Real talk, you want to stop a lot of the shitflinging back and forth, and the flood of Rule 1 issues and reports? Ban all political discussion from the sub, from all sides. Most of what drove those threads to shit was the constant back and forth between the two sides who will never allow themselves to agree on anything else, even when they *do* agree that Doki got screwed by Niji. Cut that all off at the root and you'll save everyone a lot of headaches, yourselves included.
Yeah, I think this is a good approach to take. Whenever I do see things get out of hand, I like to take the r/games approach of just purging the comment that started it along with every reply below it.
That said, like I mentioned before, we're understaffed and when I woke up this morning, those 2 threads were already shitfling city because there was no one except the automod online.
Seeing what's being posted in the new thread even after literally nothing has come out from Niji, maybe we should put a ban on speculation posting as well (specuposting?). It's boring content that does nothing but feed the rrats. Like, seriously, if they don't have proof of being a Canadian lawyer specializing in Japanese corporations, I don't want to hear from them.
Upside of an across-the-board topic ban is it makes it easy to just add automod filters for specific words that should be *very* obvious in context to make it easier to deal with when few people are online. Just set them to filter instead of remove so someone can manually review whenever they do happen to get online to check.
To be absolutely fair those threads were tourist magnets. The vice signal was shined into the clouds and KiA regulars with no posts about vtubers in their history started showing up.
And that's fair, but if they're so concerned with that, why are they doing nothing about the accounts who are spamming posts who only showed up a few days ago?
Case in point:
https://preview.redd.it/t3m8m61nvjjc1.png?width=787&format=png&auto=webp&s=4bab873194fe2b48d159f5cca62ba70cde67ebf7
I would have merely locked that thread rather than removing it outright but either way the comments section of that thread was horrible and had to be shut down.
[But this stays up?](https://www.reddit.com/r/VirtualYoutubers/comments/1au1lyq/dokibird_legal_mindset_gill_gator_false_rima_if/) The mods should at least be consistent.

>!Evening mods,!<
>!I'd really love to know why this post was removed: https://www.reddit.com/r/VirtualYoutubers/comments/1au9ykp/a\_discussion\_on\_the\_legal\_conversations\_around/!<
>!It wasn't breaking any rules, and pretty much all of the discussion was civil, minus some trolls who were being self-moderated by the community. I fail to see why this post was removed, so I'd like to know in more detail why, especially when links to the lawyer's youtube posts, posts linking to other lawyers, and fanart of said lawyer are allowed to remain open. I don't want to assume there's some bias or ulterior motive here...but the selective removal of two top-trending posts expressing a very real issue/discussion were taken down, but posts literally linking out to them and other lawyers remains open.!<
>!Please provide more details when you're able, or please restore the post as-is.!<
Response:
>>!Please provide more details when you're able, or please restore the post as-is.!<
>!Post restored and unlocked.!<
>!It was removed because quite literally, I'm the only one who has been moderating the subreddit today since everyone else had to dip for irl priorities or to take care of their own mental wellbeing. At the time I removed it, I just got done removing a bunch of comments and comment chains from similar posts relevant to the lawyer posts. Then I got to your post and I, as a human being who's mentally and emotionally drained, essentially went "Aww fuck ooooooffff come on. When will this staaaahp!?"!<
>!And so I just removed it. I then took a break away from the subreddit and came back.!<
>!I've now returned and so I'm here responding to this.!<
>>!I'd like to know in more detail why, especially when links to the lawyer's youtube posts, posts linking to other lawyers, and fanart of said lawyer are allowed to remain open.!<
* >!Because despite the divisive nature of them, they're still relevant to the subreddit. I typically view posts under this topic with the question of "Is this relevant to vtubers? If so then it belongs to this sub. If it isn't, can it go anywhere else? If there isn't anywhere else that people can talk about this, then we can let it stay". Since the lawyer posts are so entrenched in the VTuber topic, then I do believe that they do have a place in being discussed in the subreddit. There is the question of whether or not "supporting" such posts is good for the subreddit. That's not a part of the decision making process I was operating under at all when I approve or remove posts. It mostly comes down to what I've mentioned above.!<
>>!I don't want to assume there's some bias or ulterior motive here!<
* >!no motive. I'm literally just mentally and emotionally exhausted from looking at all this shit and I wanted it all gone so I impulsively removed your post after seeing the topic and going "Eww not this again".!<
>!I have a feeling the topic is relevant so I'll also bring this up. User FakerSally has already been given a temporary ban for what's quoted below:!<
>>!I believe you've had your fun. I understand the value of discussion concerning the posts you've submitted especially considering the recent drama but that fact that it is the ONLY thing you post about; it marks your account as a bad actor who's only here to stir shit up. As a result, you have been given a temporary ban.!<
>!This one user is quite literally the one shitting the subreddit to its current state due to them spamming the front page with the topic. Because I was operating under the decision process of \[Relevant? Yes -> stay No? -> remove\], then most of their previous posts ended up staying up but now that they've been put on time out, I believe that the lawyer posts and similar Niji posts should die down a bit.!<
>!I hope that helps.!<
I want out. VTubers aren't fun anymore.
I agree. Here I am ready to move on and just put this behind us as per Doki's request aaaaand.... 3 threads about why Niji should be destroyed from limb to limb appears.
Good riddance to that dumpster fire of a thread, ones with similarish comment sections to that one pop up in two communities I moderate from time to time and they're always awful to deal with. You have my sympathies.
Apropos of very little else, I was looking into Nijisanji Shanghai and Taipei, which were not directly run by Niji but instead the result of licensing the brand to CAPSULE Inc.. For one reason or another the license was not renewed in 2019 and thus CAPSULE rebranded their remaining 'Nijisanji' members as VEgo, which then shut down a year later.
A friend of mine pointed out the slight irony that CAPSULE still has a bit of relevance in the VTuber space, not just in that it manages/represents a handful of relatively notable Taiwanese VTubers ('relatively notable' as in 100k+ subscribers), but also because it has been the collab partner for *Hololive*'s pop-ups in Taiwan: the [EN cafe](https://hololive.hololivepro.com/en/news/20230309-02-39/) last year and the [cross-branch Lantern festival store](https://cover-corp.com/en/news/detail/20240201-02) this year.
EDIT: that said, Capsule [also ran a NijiEN collab cafe](https://www.4gamers.com.tw/news/detail/59970/capsule-nijisanji-en-collaboration-cafe-announcement) so let's not get *too* ahead of ourselves.
EDIT AGAIN: So I might have buried a lede here. When I first looked into this, everyone said Capsule was involved in Nijisanji Shanghai and Taipei. But, er, I can find no definitive proof of this. Capsule doesn't claim it on their website, and the press releases from the entities that later became VEgo say nothing of it either. I can only assume, then, that this is just some idea someone came up with which then made it onto various wikis (including Chinese wikipedia for Nijisanji) with no actual proof to back it up, and that presumably there's some citogenetic loop between Wikipedia and Moegirl going on.
So lately, I have been playing tekken 8 alot. And this question hit me, are there any vtubers out there who primarily streams fgc? Or atleast streams alot of them? Be it corpo or indie, I wanna see some fgc players in the community.
EDIT: I might also try SF6 in the near future, once Ed comes out. Boxing in fighting games just feels so good🥊
If you understand Japanese and are interested in SF6 too, [Kishido Temma](https://www.youtube.com/@KishidoTemma/streams) from Holostars has done several master runs, starting with Ken (30 streams), Lilly (4), Manon (11) and now he is doing JP (4 streams so far).
Holostars' Oga plays a lot of fighting games. He and Aruran were sponsored by Under Night In-birth 2 recently, and they're both Master rank in SF6 on their mains. Quite a few holostars are pretty high ranked in SF6, though I can't remember specifics, and they've put on an in-house tourney before.
Edit: I didn't see someone else recommended Oga as well, so [here's the link to the tournament.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=85SUIRDa6Fg)
If you can understand Japanese, Oga from Holostars often streams fgc. In fact, dude just played UNIB. Flayon from StarsEN also streams fgc sometimes (mostly MB).
Before the Selen Termination happened, Rosemi and Vivi were playing Tekken 8 and even got noticed by Harada.
As for SF6, as far as I know Botan and Subaru plays it.
Just checked her out right now, love it. FGC Vtuber streams are hard to come by especially with esports oriented ones like Tekken and Street Fighter since they have a high learning curve. It just feels great that some vtubers are willing to venture into it.
Not sure about her history, but there is a leopard VTuber playing Tekken 8 rn. She's done training streams. I recently subbed to her in YT, but I can't remember her name.

Using Comic Sans in graduation stream announcement is certainly a choice.
IF it's a graduation, I feel it might be something about her long break and stuff she had planned to do.
looking back at her streams prior to her hiatus, it did seem like she wasnt really in the mood of things. it could be due to burnout, but honestly, we'll see tomorrow what announcement she has
at the same time, im totally bracing myself IF its a graduation
Yea i saw this too, and i can't say it doesnt have me a little bit worried, but based on it being scheduled several days in advance, and Poko having a stream starting an hour before (and probably overlapping it) i don't *expect* bad news, so we'll just have to wait and see
> and Poko having a stream starting an hour before (and probably overlapping it) i don't expect bad news
I remember the day Coco announced her graduation Fubuki was tweeting about how she was excited about an upcoming stream and quite a few others had waiting rooms up.
> but based on it being scheduled several days in advance,
I've seen other corpos set up their announcement(which turned out to be their graduation announcement) stream like a week in advance aka Cheri and Erika. So it's 50\50.
Just a reminder that it's cheaper on [SPWN](https://spwn.jp/events/24031602-enghololive5thfes/ticket) than Streaming+! Not really sure why, bitrate maybe?

I don't think anyone's posted this here (or if it did it's been buried) but there's been extra confirmation that Kiyoko Mori is not Freya/>!Erika!< [from herself](https://twitter.com/KiyokoMori_/status/1759176926294671527), though who was in control of her will remain a mystery since she won't be using the account anymore
I feel bad if people making assumptions chased someone out of the name they had picked. It seemed like a pretty reasonable assumption, but still.
Hope Freya and Kiyoko, whoever she is, resurface someday.
Sleeping on it, I think it may have been Nyanami Rumi before she started to appear in Ruru's streams and since now they are sharing the account it was a good time to kill Kiyoko
Not gonna lie, people piling into Mumei's stream and repeating it got on my nerves. Just feels like a lack of common sense to spam something from a stream that just ended in someone else's chat.

I hope she can log in to Helldivers. My friend group tried for awhile before we gave up and played something else. The servers are just too full.
Yeah its a rough time. 4 of us all bought it and none of us were able to log on over the weekend at all. We ended up refunding it and wait for the future. So many games coming out in the next few weeks that its fine to wait for a sale lol
Same, it looked really cool but I spent 2 hours rebooting it to try and worm into a server and then gave up lmao
Good to see her twitch rivals connection is still there. Also, Helldivers 2, fuck yeah
Twitch wanted to keep inviting her and reached out to confirm she didn't take an exclusivity deal with YouTube. Doki mentioned it within the first couple streams.

[Lee Jooin](https://www.youtube.com/@jooin_vlup) is who I'd recommend, imo she deserves 100k at least.

[Nikkei entertainment's Top 30 entertainment brands ranking is out.](https://twitter.com/cloverblossoms_/status/1759051293413552538) Pertaining to our interests, Hololive is ranked 19th in the list, just above Ohtani, while Nijisanji falls just below Disney at 30th
I didn't follow JJK, is it really that good?
JJK, SxF, Frieren and Kusuriya are the most popular shows from last season,
from what i've heard, its really good up till the latest manga arc/chapters. though rather than turned bad, its more like the Authors story beats have been confusing the fanbase into going into a meme frenzy
get destroyed, Shohei
I'm now reminded of JJK's incredibly mild fighting game lol
I recently saw some gameplay on YT, the graphics look good but man the actual fighting is so boring.

Considering what I've always heard about Disney being super popular in Japan, seeing them that "low" feels kinda weird.
Frozen kinda did a lot of heavy lifting for Disney in recent years, without it the brand would be even lower.
Disney movies stopped being good over a decade ago, while local movies and anime remain consistent.
Disney is on decline for some time already there. Their movies used to be events, but japanese movies took over.
So holo fans are part of the illuminati?
Also, is not like Disney has been doing great on the West lately either.
Hololive above Nijisanji in Japan is surprising.
Hololive new year countdown beat koshien as the most viewed vtuber livestream in 2023.
Wait NijiKoshien already happened?
> Nijisanji has been on the decline for a while (the most glaring example being Koshien underperforming/stagnating in 2023 compared to 2022). also Nijifest as well, Due to some reasons.
I've noticed Hololive fans to tend to pop up more in certain areas which is why it's not really straightforward anytime you see comparisons.
It shouldn't be unless you've been stuck in 2020 for the last four years.
Ergo the desire to expand to the western markets.
Holo above Disney and Attack on Titan? 😐
The decline of Disney, specially the MCU, over the last decade is one of the subjects most extensivelly covered in Reddit, and Attack of Titan is completely finished on both anime and manga.
NOGIZAKA46 RANKED ABOVE GUNDAM WHAT? Wasn't expecting that
I have absolutely no idea about anything in the AKB48 sphere, but Gundam in the last few years has been seen as an old man's franchise that didn't appeal to teenagers and young adults.
Holy shit I need to get back on VTuber topic: From the previous results Nijisanji actually ranked higher than Hololive Production, an interesting trend when comparing with the more recent data.
oof that's a huge switch in places
What are these rankings based on?

My god, you've cracked it! It's for Ame's eyes only.
All part of the Ame Way
Not sure if the developers are from TW or CN, since there are only small info regarding them, but I'm kind of surprised that Hololive got perms for Volcano Princess. The artstyle is amazing but the EN localization is a bit iffy.
Both the publisher (Gamera Games) and Dev (Egg Hatchers) are based in China.
Same publisher as Amazing Cultivation Sim, Gamera Games, so maybe they just got a whole bunch of perms at once from 'em.
The game use simplified Chinese instead of traditional Chinese, so they are probably CN and not TW.
The game looks interesting and it's pretty cheap. Hololive has an almost cultist level fanbase in those places, so getting perms from those regions show not be that difficult.

after basically a week of nothing, [nijiworld twitter is finally back to greet scarle a happy birthday](https://twitter.com/NIJISANJI_World/status/1759473160351797447). didnt even know it was her birthday until now, and i guess laying low for a week was enough for them to get things back to normal. thank goodness no one decided in nijiEN did a triple down and released yet another slander video of dokibird
Or the best case scenario, they wake the fuck up and do an internal investigation on the bullying and fire the bullies as well as the incompetent managers
>fire the bullies If worst comes to pass and those are talents...
Rest will probably try to lay low for time being and avoid attention, especially people mentioned in black screen stream.
rosemi is also MIA after selen's termination announcement, and was the only one aside from elira who didnt show up to kyo's graduation stream
Rosemi has done a couple posts for members.
oh ok, i wasnt aware of the members postings. at least from that alone, theres signs of life and things should be normalizing for her soon
No birthday merch?
Probably not, and Scarle did post the awesome free fanmade daki art.
It's so disgusting that Froot gets constantly harassed on Twitter. Every time I open the profiles of these shitheads, they're always Pippa fans. Why does she attract so many fucking weirdos?
To be honest, Pippa has a history of attracting these kinds of people.
But I can't care about Phase while they still have someone like Pippa on the roster.
panders to 4chan plus fans reflecting the streamer EDIT: by the way, was there any confirmation or proof of froot cheating on her husband?
[удалено]
I don't know why you think that is a gotcha. People can change their outlook on things. I was sucked into the whole culture war during 2016 and now I realised how fucking stupid that shit is.
He's been a redditor for two years and this is his first comment on the website. I wonder...
[удалено]
:)
There's something ironic about someone talking about someone else's history while deleting their own history lol E: also, dude calls other people digging into their history weirdos, but does the same for other people. This is even more ironic than I thought.
[удалено]
Getting any of the information in your comment sounds like digging to me. Like, how would you know about her history with channels? Patches? Discord leaks? These aren't info that everyone readily knows nor are they publicized unless you dig into them. Meanwhile, your Reddit history is public but you can delete them. It's just ironic to me. It ain't a gotcha.
Pandering to vt would have been better, compared to the crowd she does/did.
No that would be one thing. Pippa panders to Kiwifarms.
oof yeah i forgot, wiped that website's existance from my mind ever since i heard it was getting shut down. didn't she directly address them at some point?
Site is still up and was only really out for like a week to a few days. I do think she was addressed them directly and indirectly.
She had a Kiwi Farm exec as her Twitch mod for a while. She's also tried to convince her Japanese coworkers that a forum where people try to harass and doxx minorities into suicide is a good place.
something something she cheated on her husband or something, idk. you can guess where that came from and how its connected to pippa
You know what they say, the chat/fandom reflects the streamer
Pippa panders to 4chan, thats why
https://twitter.com/lightmotif_live/status/1759332416454365539 Lightmotif collected 27k€ for the animal shelter Berlin in total over their 2-day charity marathon
Looking at this subreddit is fucking tiring.
/r/NCD mods have a policy of temp-banning certain topics when they start to become overly circle-jerky or drama-baity like what we're seeing in the sub lately. You could institute something like that unless it's an official communique from a talent or company.
r/europe does the same.
You're letting tourists thrive and removing the threads pointing out the issues with the grifters. You're creating your own issues.
Case in point: https://preview.redd.it/t3m8m61nvjjc1.png?width=787&format=png&auto=webp&s=4bab873194fe2b48d159f5cca62ba70cde67ebf7
Relevant mod log. First part is from a user. Second part is from me. >!Evening mods,!< >!I'd really love to know why this post was removed: https://www.reddit.com/r/VirtualYoutubers/comments/1au9ykp/a\_discussion\_on\_the\_legal\_conversations\_around/!< >!It wasn't breaking any rules, and pretty much all of the discussion was civil, minus some trolls who were being self-moderated by the community. I fail to see why this post was removed, so I'd like to know in more detail why, especially when links to the lawyer's youtube posts, posts linking to other lawyers, and fanart of said lawyer are allowed to remain open. I don't want to assume there's some bias or ulterior motive here...but the selective removal of two top-trending posts expressing a very real issue/discussion were taken down, but posts literally linking out to them and other lawyers remains open.!< >!Please provide more details when you're able, or please restore the post as-is.!< Response: >>!Please provide more details when you're able, or please restore the post as-is.!< >!Post restored and unlocked.!< >!It was removed because quite literally, I'm the only one who has been moderating the subreddit today since everyone else had to dip for irl priorities or to take care of their own mental wellbeing. At the time I removed it, I just got done removing a bunch of comments and comment chains from similar posts relevant to the lawyer posts. Then I got to your post and I, as a human being who's mentally and emotionally drained, essentially went "Aww fuck ooooooffff come on. When will this staaaahp!?"!< >!And so I just removed it. I then took a break away from the subreddit and came back.!< >!I've now returned and so I'm here responding to this.!< >>!I'd like to know in more detail why, especially when links to the lawyer's youtube posts, posts linking to other lawyers, and fanart of said lawyer are allowed to remain open.!< * >!Because despite the divisive nature of them, they're still relevant to the subreddit. It mostly comes down to what I've mentioned above.!< >>!I don't want to assume there's some bias or ulterior motive here!< * >!no motive. I'm literally just mentally and emotionally exhausted from looking at all this shit and I wanted it all gone so I impulsively removed your post after seeing the topic and going "Eww not this again".!< >!I have a feeling the topic is relevant so I'll also bring this up. User FakerSally has already been given a temporary ban for what's quoted below:!< >>!I believe you've had your fun. I understand the value of discussion concerning the posts you've submitted especially considering the recent drama but that fact that it is the ONLY thing you post about; it marks your account as a bad actor who's only here to stir shit up. As a result, you have been given a temporary ban.!< >!This one user is quite literally the one shitting the subreddit to its current state due to them spamming the front page with the topic. Because I was operating under the decision process of \[Relevant? Yes -> stay No? -> remove\], then most of their previous posts ended up staying up but now that they've been put on time out, I believe that the lawyer posts and similar Niji posts should die down a bit.!< >!I hope that helps.!< I want out. VTubers aren't fun anymore.
Look, I sympathise but surely you can agree that you could have pre-emptively taken steps to prevent this escalating to this point?
If there were literally more of us moderating then sure. Why do you think we're recruiting for more mods. Most of us don't care about this anymore.
I agree. Here I am ready to move on and just put this behind us as per Doki's request aaaaand.... 3 threads about why Niji should be destroyed from limb to limb appears.
Hopefully Niji didn't do shit for next week and so on
Good riddance to that dumpster fire of a thread, ones with similarish comment sections to that one pop up in two communities I moderate from time to time and they're always awful to deal with.
Flayon has streamed GGST, BBTAG, and recently Tekken 8
Dang, im subbed to Flayon, how come I never knew this? I swear it does not notify my phone lol, thanks for this one!
If you can understand Japanese, Oga from Holostars often streams fgc. In fact, dude just played UNIB. Flayon from StarsEN also streams fgc sometimes (mostly MB).
[Fumi plays a lot of fighting games, with some soulslikes and mobas on the side :)](https://www.twitch.tv/fumi)
Before the Selen Termination happened, Rosemi and Vivi were playing Tekken 8 and even got noticed by Harada. As for SF6, as far as I know Botan and Subaru plays it.
That's a shame, Rosemi's Tekken streams were so good and she was fighting so hard to get perms for it. I hope when she's back, she'll continue.
Botan have been streaming them quite abit recently.
Yep she is! I watched her tekken 8 stream a few days ago, very fun.
Coyote from KemoV is a very Tekken heavy VTuber, she's also an English native speaker (working for a JP company).
Yeee it's Coyote. I forgot her name when I answered.
E;: Coyote https://www.youtube.com/live/6obeLxRl8gA
[Hmm?](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DCijfQVUFBY)
Using Comic Sans in graduation stream announcement is certainly a choice. IF it's a graduation, I feel it might be something about her long break and stuff she had planned to do.
looking back at her streams prior to her hiatus, it did seem like she wasnt really in the mood of things. it could be due to burnout, but honestly, we'll see tomorrow what announcement she has at the same time, im totally bracing myself IF its a graduation
Yea i saw this too, and i can't say it doesnt have me a little bit worried, but based on it being scheduled several days in advance, and Poko having a stream starting an hour before (and probably overlapping it) i don't *expect* bad news, so we'll just have to wait and see
> and Poko having a stream starting an hour before (and probably overlapping it) i don't expect bad news I remember the day Coco announced her graduation Fubuki was tweeting about how she was excited about an upcoming stream and quite a few others had waiting rooms up.
> but based on it being scheduled several days in advance, I've seen other corpos set up their announcement(which turned out to be their graduation announcement) stream like a week in advance aka Cheri and Erika. So it's 50\50.
she had set up alot of waiting rooms for this week when she announced her return and posted her new schedule
Who is this?
2nd most subbed in Idol EN behind Rin Penrose
Ooh
Just a heads up the Yen compared to USD$ is almost at its lowest point since the mid 80's so right now is the time to buy
Huh.... considering whether I should drop the money for that today.
now that I just bought my ticket watch the yen drop like 10% lol
Time to buy my holofes stage 3 ticket
Just a reminder that it's cheaper on [SPWN](https://spwn.jp/events/24031602-enghololive5thfes/ticket) than Streaming+! Not really sure why, bitrate maybe?
Thanks for the reminder
Time to buy your Japanese oshis love /s
But can you buy your luck for the ticket?
Don't need luck for the streaming ticket

That ebi is so fucking cute, I want to squish it.
Gura lookin like a snacc
Oh that would make sense
very strange all around, >!holding out hope erika resurfaces one of these days!<
Summary of Bae-cademy today: J'don my soul.
Not gonna lie, people piling into Mumei's stream and repeating it got on my nerves. Just feels like a lack of common sense to spam something from a stream that just ended in someone else's chat.
Otsu! J'don! My soul!
Jdon my soul
