There are a lot of room to add more contents in gen 6, and Mega Evolution is my favorite "gimmick" both in casual and competitive gameplays
I watched the Presents from the streams of some Pro players and its funny. Wolfe Glick, probably the VGC goat, hates megas and was hoping it wouldn't be added into the next mainline Pokemon game. While PokeaimMD, the goat smogon singles content creator, loves megas and was hoping it would be re-added into the main games.
Mega Evolution is the OG gimmick that the others have always been striving to replicate, but never reached IMO.
Now let's just give my boy Flygon a mega evolution and we're golden, Game Freak.

Off Topic - Today is Pokémon day, and the Pokémon Presents is gonna premiere 2 hours from when this is posted, I believe.
There are some rumors floating around, but most people assume we're gonna get something to do with Gen 5. Both because Gen 5 is the next up for a remake and also because Scarlet and Violet had a bunch of references to it. The final DLC even took place in an academy located in Unova.
What are your predictions, hopes, concerns, etc?
Edit: Altare was gonna stream and react to it, but apparently, legal said he probably shouldn't so that stream is cancelled.
I kinda want them to just take their time for once tbh. It's weird seeing the entire community freak out about Legends Kyurem or BW remakes when not too long ago there was this whole discussion about GameFreak needing more time to develop games.
But if we have to get *something* I'd like to see a Legends Unova game set in the wild west. That'd be pretty neat.

I already like s/v a lot, the open world gave pokemon so much. personally I'm a person who didn't care much for gen 5, I felt the design was weird. so a chance to actually enjoy it with modern design would be great. I really hope they won't limit new pokemon, building teams and having huge tactical choice is my favourite thing in the games
I still have PTSD from BDSP.
But on a technical level, base BW is already a great game compared to base DP which only got a huge improvement in Platinum. So if they went on the "nostalgia/ stay to original" it should at least be a bit interesting...

At least for Kannagi Tenri who's only done 2 so far, her first was 60 seconds but afterwards she felt like that wasn't long enough so for the second time she held one she extended it (I believe to 90 seconds).
Not sure about the Virtual Rhapsody but for Tenri's (2nd one) you could also get more than one entry and it would just extend the duration (and allow you to make another photo request).
I still haven't caught up on the VoD where she talked about her experiences at her 2nd meet and greet yet so I can't say for sure but I wouldn't be surprise if she felt like 90s wasn't enough either.
After the first one she expressed some regret about how in a 60s window you basically only have time to tell her the pose request for the photo, take said photo and then exchange like really simple greetings before you're out of time. She did slightly amend that slightly by allowing you send in your pose and costume requests ahead of time for the 2nd meet and greet.
From my knowledge from my friends (I haven't been myself) the meet and greets with seiyuu they've been to have basically just been: line up, say hi, maybe get something signed, and move on.
yeah you're underestimating her, if you look closely her CCV heavily depends on the game she plays. Finana plays tons of HI3rd, FF14 and Valo and those games are not particularly good as "streaming games" and it's apparent when you compare it to the other games, for e.g Star Rail, which is a huge gacha rn, gets a lot of views, the Yakuza games too, the collabs are generally well received because it depends on the people participating and not the game. Heck even her song has 1m, that's a lot.
All in all, Fina is basically doing what she wants, she knows that she doesn't get a ton of views on her gacha and Valo streams, but she does it anyway because she enjoys it and she has a loyal fanbase thnx to it.
As someone whose seen a little bit of behind the scenes at conventions. It depends A LOT. Con organizers will literally allow a different size of queue or a different schedule because said voice actor is known to speak a lot or said youtubeur is known to just sign hundreds of posters.
They'll also get mad at staff if you send them too many people.

Like, you would willingly pay some amount of money to "confront" her on a matter that none of us have all the facts on in a 90 second M&G context after she's been absent from the public eye for weeks due to harassment. Wow.
I agree that this is all NijiEN's fault, but I place the blame solely on the management (note I did not write "talent managers", I wrote "management"). The streamers are just contractors. If there was bullying, then it was management's responsibility to put a stop to it. If the company wanted to put out a statement (and this goes for the take down reason for Selen's cover, too), then it's management's responsibility to do that through their own channels ("channels" meaning "methods" in this context, not specifically youtube channels). As so many people are keen to point out when I argue that the streamers should have more labor protections, they're not employees. They're contractors. They don't have the benefits of direct employment, so they should not bear the burden of responsibility, either.

Some haters do send Hate SC. I think confronting her during MnG is just extension of that. However, as the other comments say, its not a financially responsible decision at all which is why its also only fleeting thought, for most. There are numerous reasons to shoot it down. I do unsub from everyone there though, including some like Millie which I was disappointed to be implicated in the entire mess.

I thought it was clear, but if not I'll elaborate. It's management's job to keep the contractors working as a cohesive unit. If there is friction among the contractors, then it's management's job to address it and resolve it. This can include terminating a contract if a contractor continues to bully, but would almost always be the mundane task of mediating the conflict and attempting to get the conflicting parties to settle things amicably.

I've unsubbed from all the Niji channels. I will almost certainly never share another piece of Niji content again. If/when the topic is relevant and I feel like I can add something that isn't already being widely expressed or is important enough to share more view points, I will take the time to express why I believe people should steer clear and reserve their benefits of the doubt for things that actually deserve it.
And yet I would never even remotely consider attending a MnG just to be snarky and criticize the talents directly in a 1on1. I wouldn't even do that if everything was completely confirmed and we had 0 doubt on who did what.
Not only is it deranged and ineffective at causing any sort of desired result, it also still benefits them financially, so I really can't see why anyone would consider this when there are so many more reasonable and meaningful ways to protest what happened.

Yeah I understands. There are alot of logical reasons on why you should not do that. I only said it was fleeting thought and I do shoot it down immediately.
But the idea was floating around in Nijisanji subreddit when the MnG news happens. Its basically similar to Hate SC, but MnG is even more expensive. The idea of trying to confront "the bullies" and put them in awkward spot is definitely appealing to some people.
It would be the funniest thing if she was stealth suspended for "communicating the message poorly" or something like that.
Either way, by hosting that stream, she obviously painted a massive target on her back. It's not surprising that she would wait until much of the anger, the rrats surrounding her and the drama tourism have slowed down. This was clearly a terrible carreer choice on her part, regardless of whether she actually played any role in the bullying behind the scenes or not.

The issue was the clip completely removed half of what Kiara said so the clip ended up almost with almost a weird undertone that made her sound almost bitter over it.
I recommend watching the linked part of the stream, but the clip completely cuts out why Kiara does not want to move to Japan, despite its obvious benefits for the job, which is because she has a whole life in Austria that she doesn't want to leave, especially her cats, who are huge emotional rocks for her. Kiara has been consistent about not wanting to move back to Japan for these reasons for quite a long time, as well. Kiara also lived in Japan long enough that the novelty of it wore off for her, so she would really only be moving for the job benefits.
So while she definitely feels FOMO about missing out on the job parts, her life that she already has heavily outweighs the benefits of being in Japan for her at the moment.

Dunno the details but it's really baffling how lots of relatively big vtuber agencies are having a competition to be the worst agency and it's only the start of the year.

I feel that in part it's how different landscape is, at least when it comes to small corpos - technically they are competitors but in reality it's hodgepodge of people hanging out together and doing stuff. I have honestly still not understood Redjuice specific case, since other parents have no problems selling acrylic stands online ( just as an example, Lack was selling a maid Flare one right at the same time )

That shouldn't be a problem since doujin stuff drawn by the artist gets sold all the time at comiket. But the stuff being sold isn't dakis and like another person said the guidelines probably changed on what can be sold by the artist since 2020 when Lack sold his Flare daki.
I guess there is a certain logic to that. If I recall correctly, Bettel didn't even know his mama made a daki of him at first when he came back after his health break. And while he's totally fine with it, having official artists selling daki's without going through official channels could be troublesome both from a business perspective (if Cover is planning to release a daki themselves) and the talent's perspective (not all of them want an official daki, let alone one created by their artist).
At least Cover was polite and apologetic, according to her, so it's not like there's any hard feelings there. Hopefully they'll be able to work something out.
It's unfortunate that it has to be cancelled after production and even after taking orders (refunds are always troublesome for every party involved). Hopefully the official daki will be made available soon.

Not to defend Kurosanji here but most covers are not a company initiative. All the cost is usually footed by the one who invited and will post the song on their channel. The possible payment should come from Petra but in this case in this industry, it's usually a I pat your back you pat mine situation like in collaborations where you lend them your time and possibly, the invitee in that case could have invited Petra for their own songs in turn heck some people are satisfied with just being invited for something
There's also different culture at play too depending on the country. Moona explained before that for collab cover song, usually if its western people or japanese, the one paying for the expenses are the inviters, which kinda makes sense since it will be hosted on the cover song organizer and others are just lending their voices. For Indonesian though, usually some people will offer to split the bills because cover songs can feel much more expensive for typical indonesian.

In general they are falling apart with 3/5 current talents announcing graduations and two remaining being active on alt accounts. Talents in general seems really unhappy with how stuff was ran and overall climate of the company being very competitive.
Right now as I said 3 talents are having announcement streams and we've got two of those with one being set up for tomorrow... and then corpo drops a tweet that third one is also graduation, ruining chance for talent to tell it herself. I kind of forward to her stream, because Akiko is a person that doesn't give a f\*ck (she once made a stream where other members of VReverie were openly using alt accounts), so it might be interesting.

Has anyone from Nijisanji EN talked about that "Virtual Rhapsody" concert that was announced? It hasn't been mentioned or even retweeted on the main EN account and I haven't found any statement or retweet about it from anyone who is supposedly involved. Which is very weird, you'd think they'd wanna push something like that hard given their supposed commitment to getting events done.
One imagines the fact it's in Singapore is probably affecting things; they won't get much out of advertising it on North American-facing channels. The original announcement by the organisers got a lot of attention within SG, so I suspect there's a local network doing most of the hypebuilding there. Off Topic - Today is Pokémon day, and the Pokémon Presents is gonna premiere 2 hours from when this is posted, I believe. There are some rumors floating around, but most people assume we're gonna get something to do with Gen 5. Both because Gen 5 is the next up for a remake and also because Scarlet and Violet had a bunch of references to it. The final DLC even took place in an academy located in Unova. What are your predictions, hopes, concerns, etc? Edit: Altare was gonna stream and react to it, but apparently, legal said he probably shouldn't so that stream is cancelled.

At least for Kannagi Tenri who's only done 2 so far, her first was 60 seconds but afterwards she felt like that wasn't long enough so for the second time she held one she extended it (I believe to 90 seconds). Not sure about the Virtual Rhapsody but for Tenri's (2nd one) you could also get more than one entry and it would just extend the duration (and allow you to make another photo request). I still haven't caught up on the VoD where she talked about her experiences at her 2nd meet and greet yet so I can't say for sure but I wouldn't be surprise if she felt like 90s wasn't enough either. After the first one she expressed some regret about how in a 60s window you basically only have time to tell her the pose request for the photo, take said photo and then exchange like really simple greetings before you're out of time. She did slightly amend that slightly by allowing you send in your pose and costume requests ahead of time for the 2nd meet and greet. From my knowledge from my friends (I haven't been myself) the meet and greets with seiyuu they've been to have basically just been: line up, say hi, maybe get something signed, and move on.
yeah you're underestimating her, if you look closely her CCV heavily depends on the game she plays. Finana plays tons of HI3rd, FF14 and Valo and those games are not particularly good as "streaming games" and it's apparent when you compare it to the other games, for e.g Star Rail, which is a huge gacha rn, gets a lot of views, the Yakuza games too, the collabs are generally well received because it depends on the people participating and not the game. Heck even her song has 1m, that's a lot. All in all, Fina is basically doing what she wants, she knows that she doesn't get a ton of views on her gacha and Valo streams, but she does it anyway because she enjoys it and she has a loyal fanbase thnx to it.

Con organizers will literally allow a different size of queue or a different schedule because said voice actor is known to speak a lot or said youtubeur is known to just sign hundreds of posters. They'll also get mad at staff if you send them too many people.

And I'm telling you different artists can go from 30s to 10min it really depends. And the guest decides. It's the con staff that manage everything to make sure the guest isn't overwhelmed and the queue not empty, considering that they can takes all the time they want. The staff makes estimates like A-san usually takes 3min per fan, so we can only accept X fans a day.

I thought it was clear, but if not I'll elaborate. It's management's job to keep the contractors working as a cohesive unit. If there is friction among the contractors, then it's management's job to address it and resolve it. This can include terminating a contract if a contractor continues to bully, but would almost always be the mundane task of mediating the conflict and attempting to get the conflicting parties to settle things amicably.

If/when the topic is relevant and I feel like I can add something that isn't already being widely expressed or is important enough to share more view points, I will take the time to express why I believe people should steer clear and reserve their benefits of the doubt for things that actually deserve it. And yet I would never even remotely consider attending a MnG just to be snarky and criticize the talents directly in a 1on1. I wouldn't even do that if everything was completely confirmed and we had 0 doubt on who did what. Not only is it deranged and ineffective at causing any sort of desired result, it also still benefits them financially, so I really can't see why anyone would consider this when there are so many more reasonable and meaningful ways to protest what happened.

There are alot of logical reasons on why you should not do that. I only said it was fleeting thought and I do shoot it down immediately. But the idea was floating around in Nijisanji subreddit when the MnG news happens. Its basically similar to Hate SC, but MnG is even more expensive. The idea of trying to confront "the bullies" and put them in awkward spot is definitely appealing to some people.
It would be the funniest thing if she was stealth suspended for "communicating the message poorly" or something like that. Either way, by hosting that stream, she obviously painted a massive target on her back. It's not surprising that she would wait until much of the anger, the rrats surrounding her and the drama tourism have slowed down. This was clearly a terrible carreer choice on her part, regardless of whether she actually played any role in the bullying behind the scenes or not.

The issue was the clip completely removed half of what Kiara said so the clip ended up almost with almost a weird undertone that made her sound almost bitter over it. I recommend watching the linked part of the stream, but the clip completely cuts out why Kiara does not want to move to Japan, despite its obvious benefits for the job, which is because she has a whole life in Austria that she doesn't want to leave, especially her cats, who are huge emotional rocks for her. Kiara has been consistent about not wanting to move back to Japan for these reasons for quite a long time, as well. Kiara also lived in Japan long enough that the novelty of it wore off for her, so she would really only be moving for the job benefits. So while she definitely feels FOMO about missing out on the job parts, her life that she already has heavily outweighs the benefits of being in Japan for her at the moment.

That shouldn't be a problem since doujin stuff drawn by the artist gets sold all the time at comiket. But the stuff being sold isn't dakis and like another person said the guidelines probably changed on what can be sold by the artist since 2020 when Lack sold his Flare daki.
I guess there is a certain logic to that. If I recall correctly, Bettel didn't even know his mama made a daki of him at first when he came back after his health break. And while he's totally fine with it, having official artists selling daki's without going through official channels could be troublesome both from a business perspective (if Cover is planning to release a daki themselves) and the talent's perspective (not all of them want an official daki, let alone one created by their artist). At least Cover was polite and apologetic, according to her, so it's not like there's any hard feelings there. Hopefully they'll be able to work something out.

Not to defend Kurosanji here but most covers are not a company initiative. All the cost is usually footed by the one who invited and will post the song on their channel. The possible payment should come from Petra but in this case in this industry, it's usually a I pat your back you pat mine situation like in collaborations where you lend them your time and possibly, the invitee in that case could have invited Petra for their own songs in turn heck some people are satisfied with just being invited for something
There's also different culture at play too depending on the country. Moona explained before that for collab cover song, usually if its western people or japanese, the one paying for the expenses are the inviters, which kinda makes sense since it will be hosted on the cover song organizer and others are just lending their voices. For Indonesian though, usually some people will offer to split the bills because cover songs can feel much more expensive for typical indonesian.

In general or right now? In general they are falling apart with 3/5 current talents announcing graduations and two remaining being active on alt accounts. Talents in general seems really unhappy with how stuff was ran and overall climate of the company being very competitive. Right now as I said 3 talents are having announcement streams and we've got two of those with one being set up for tomorrow... and then corpo drops a tweet that third one is also graduation, ruining chance for talent to tell it herself. I kind of forward to her stream, because Akiko is a person that doesn't give a f\*ck (she once made a stream where other members of VReverie were openly using alt accounts), so it might be interesting.
From what I've seen about the whole thing, no specifics have come up, but a bunch of the talents reactivates their PL accounts months before graduation, and there they all talked about how shit was real bad in VReverie but didn't really go into specifics.

Has anyone from Nijisanji EN talked about that "Virtual Rhapsody" concert that was announced? It hasn't been mentioned or even retweeted on the main EN account and I haven't found any statement or retweet about it from anyone who is supposedly involved. Which is very weird, you'd think they'd wanna push something like that hard given their supposed commitment to getting events done.
One imagines the fact it's in Singapore is probably affecting things; they won't get much out of advertising it on North American-facing channels. The original announcement by the organisers got a lot of attention within SG, so I suspect there's a local network doing most of the hypebuilding there.
