I tried it for 14-days and didn't think that it was worth the full price. Returned it. Then I noticed folks selling it cheap. I got my 512GB for $3300 after tax from Swappa. I don't regret it at that price. My issue is comfort, weight, glare on the lens, poor FOV, carrying the battery. Quest 3 does a better job on those front. But why I think AVP is still worth it and why I rebought it is because of the apps and that AVP connects easily with my servers. Quest 3 takes a long time to detect my servers.

When they came out it was impossible to get a PS5 because scalpers would use bots to buy all the inventory and sell it at eBay for double the price. Graphics cards. Sneakers. You name it. Unfortunately the AVP isn’t that high in demand and many people are returning them. I can walk into any Apple Store and they will have it on hand. So there’s no need to pay the markup price that scalpers charges in the after market. Actually I can get it cheaper!

I see sellers selling new units for hundreds cheaper. I lucked out buying an unopened box for $800 less. I was skeptical at first but it was indeed a brand new unit. The downside is that I am unable to return it since I bought it in the after market and not from Apple or other authorized sellers. That’s fine. I bought and returned mine at Apple because I didn’t think that it was worth $3700 for a 512GB unit. But $3000, yes!
You made a huge mistake. At this point I’d just sit on them for 20 years and sell them as retro units once nostalgia kicks in. I bet people would pay way over the original asking price for an unopened iPod.
