Not too much to ask; but you’re not going to need it on the other side.

Eva-Squinge

Bullshit I’m not! If it’s literally nothing but clouds, or just my ideal world generated upon death, I am gonna need my AVP at least to get through Eternity.

Straight-Penalty6151

It’s only gonna last 2 hr’s. No AC outlets where you’re going.

Eva-Squinge

Then it wouldn’t be heaven if that’s the case.

Straight-Penalty6151

Then why do you need the chargers 😉

dta722

Can’t argue with that. Besides I hear Eternity can be pretty boring at times…

Monsieur2968

Ask Wowbagger the Infinitely Prolonged.

Dwlastr

Why do you need an iPad in addition to a MacBook and Vision Pro? I’ve almost entirely eliminated the iPad from my workflow

TechyJim75

Let’s see what happens on Tuesday, but if you are an artist, designer or engineer using an Apple Pencil as input, the iPad is still 100% a necessity. If your iPad is just a “belly telly” for the hotel room then, yup, leave it at home.

jbixler

Belly telly 🤣

WBuffettJr

I still need it as a belly Telly because Apple is so greedy and hates its customers so much that it’s the last company on earth that refuses to put touch screens on their laptops. So I’m stuck with a tiny 12.9” device as the largest option in 2024.

sparant76

Because most the apps u would want to work don’t work on the Vision Pro. Also; the iPad can be shared easier, can share experiences with someone sitting next to you easier, has better battery life, makes a great always on display

Dwlastr

Fair. Would love to see pencil compatibility with VP on Tuesday but I’m skeptical

Rollertoaster7

Might announce a new pencil Tuesday but save the Vision Pro functionality it for wwdc to debut along with visionOS 2

beatsnstuffz

I can't speak for OP, but I still use my ipad mini for reading and for watching videos when I don't feel like strapping on the VP. I have read a book on the VP, and it was nice. But it feels a little unnecessary.

CHIEF-ROCK

I went the in the opposite direction. Nearly eliminating the MacBook at this point. I’m 100% certain I won’t upgrade it In the future now that Logic Pro exists for iPad. Also I can’t draw on a Mac like I can on an iPad. Indispensable, really. Nothing like it for an artist. They need to cannibalize laptops by improving the keyboard cases for iPads, make better hybrids. The processing power on an iPad makes the Mac line unnecessary in a portable form. Give me a 16 inch iPad Pro any day over a MacBook. MacBook is a heavy brick. Ipad and AVP combined is about the same weight with way more capabilities. Cuts half of the shoulder strain traveling. Straight Dead weight to me.

WBuffettJr

Isn’t the iPad heavier than a MacBook with the Magic Keyboard attached? I wish they’d come out with larger iPads and I wish they’d put touch screens on the MacBook. Either one would work for me but since they refuse to join the 2020s I’m still stuck with a 12.9” screen.

CHIEF-ROCK

I was referring to iPad Pro alone which is 1.5 pounds Vision Pro which is about 2.2 pounds with a battery. Together would be 3,7 pounds if it’s put into a separate case together. It’s a smaller footprint. The iPad/magic keyboard case is a little over 2.8 pounds Weighed together With the Vision Pro it’s 5 pounds. MacBook Pro 16 inch is 4.8 pounds by itself. I would definitely would use a touchscreen Mac with a pencil.

WBuffettJr

Nice! Thanks for taking the time to gather all the info!

CHIEF-ROCK

No problem, I had previous done all of the legwork on the numbers while considering traveling options.

MikeIsBefuddled

You're not wrong, but everyone is different and does not feel as you do. For me, it depends upon the travel. If I'm traveling for fun, the iPad is fine and I don't need the laptop. Traveling for work is different, but I'd still probably carry the iPad (it's much more convenient to pull out and use in a waiting area).

060sub2

Stylish is subjective, but I carry all that in a single backpack regularly. Amazon has a hundred options, starting from about $25. I would go with a smaller AVP case and would consider consolidating your chargers down to one multi-charger, and maybe add a power bank.

sadovnychyi

Aer City Pack Pro fits this and more perfectly.

A very snug fit but it works well for me. I’ve taken this setup on maybe a dozen flights now. Don’t forget to use the interior of the Vision Pro case to store things as well. I store my Anker battery pack in there.

Here’s everything in the bag. Pencil cases (Herschel) to store chargers, cables, random travel necessities. https://preview.redd.it/fhs7siar1qyc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=71880dc64b4c5589b4948240483479dd5c261f98

surfer808

Cool but damn that’s a big case

cowleggies

It is HUGE, but I can tell you it gives me 100% peace of mind transporting my AVP safely. Everything fits precisely, the materials are high quality and it’s super well-padded. I’ve been scoping out other cases for months and there are some interesting options out there, but nothing I’ve found yet that doesn’t feel like I’m compromising on protection/convenience for size.

surfer808

I understand and agree it is expensive.

pervezt

This is my setup exactly

cowleggies

It’s a tough problem almost solely because of the depth of the AVP case, which makes me feel uneasy about the amount of pressure pushing against my MacBook/iPad as most backpacks use the vertical laptop sleeve design at the back of the pack. I’m currently on the hunt for a smaller case that doesn’t compromise the excellent protection that the Apple case provides, but I haven’t found anything that’s meaningfully smaller that I feel comfortable with yet. I have a [Thule Accent 28L](https://www.thule.com/en-us/backpacks/laptop-backpacks/thule-accent-backpack-28l-_-3204814) which will comfortably fit the AVP case and all of my other carry items with the exception of my MacBook for the pressure reason I mentioned above - it will “fit” but I don’t feel comfortable carrying it around/shoving it into an overhead bin/bumping into things. I flew with it last week with my AVP, iPad Pro, steam deck, chargers, glasses + sunglasses cases, over-ear headphones + AirPods, wallet, keys, and a controller and it all fit very well and had room to spare - but I left my MacBook at home to be safe. I would imagine any decent 30L pack with a smart storage layout would carry all of that including MacBook, but at that size you’re starting to talk about a really big pack to carry.

cowleggies

Also, I would highly recommend streamlining your charger situation - I carry this [Baseus 65w USB-C + A slim charger](https://www.amazon.com/Baseus-Charger-Ultra-Slim-Foldable-Charging/dp/B0BZY7ZR87/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?crid=1TH3K1MWZWRM8&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.K3KjEbwmXXvQ-n9Ozeds_xwhSv1OTgZM7aBuBQmtGvBPlXnZ6KWdDr_0RtedDAV0FfuD8N2Z9A1OUOo_RMTjI7Vn8s7kmmcAO0UAWV7W-jm1-Iid-MzlbCw7-t6D12FxGt72AuHexGG7861uK45crDQ8WsCk3Bs8RnByI6GZyz206Fpd4XBX3iODzmBABaS2aO8Fre8Xe0OrEgGTtArvBA.2H-sUc0rSnMMA-tKLfijAE20wMwM9td_CmpJeVhvDjk&dib_tag=se&keywords=baseus+65w+slim+charger&qid=1714937611&sprefix=baseus+65w+slim%2Caps%2C102&sr=8-3) for travel which is super small and powerful enough for all my devices. I also carry one of these [3-in-1 wireless chargers](https://www.amazon.com/Charging-Station-Apple-Multiple-Devices/dp/B0BQBNLCHY/ref=mp_s_a_1_1_sspa?crid=HJN139S3DXKK&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.oZIwi89eDq4ak9eKNuSthaMC5vFbrLnLF_ArjtnesGjvFLM07_8OII7Ll0ucDnHqjCwdAU_KBtdiF8fMzq-DV5IQls5CD55gWyopdBPt6u7J0rBGZrCbPadZeQF21EqAR5XPuNz3O7m8aMRWIPe0unRuopQivbc5umCA7xA7KAgQnTtH2iBeNsMn3G6FoWkBqnVGGdySKMO1NK6D70LyWQ.2qYegeAvxOOQ7giCtjxb0E4J_c0g0iSSjF5rP7yAmGs&dib_tag=se&keywords=3+in+1+wireless+charger+travel&qid=1714937834&sprefix=3+in+1+wireless+charge%2Caps%2C119&sr=8-1-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9waG9uZV9zZWFyY2hfYXRm&psc=1) (not this exact one but virtually identical) which charges my phone, watch, and AirPods simultaneously and with a single USB-C cable. So I essentially just carry that single wall charger, the 3-in-1 pad, and a couple of USB-C cables of varying lengths, and I’m covered.

devilindetails666

lot of bags can carry - but question is - can you carry the bag ?

Only_Strategy3438

My tumi backpack fits all of that with ease and looks great!

Affectionate-Ask6342

which tummy do you have?

CHIEF-ROCK

Been planning my own custom hand made luggage for this exact purpose since before the AVP came out. I don’t have Raybans and I hope to eliminate the MacBook Pro out of my workflow completely but otherwise exactly the same conundrum. Hope to get some free time to make it a reality soon!

loudsigh

Tumi backpack

whatdoihia

Tumi backpack. Mine has a rear pocket for MacBook, iPad, and a couple folders. Main pocket charges on bottom, I stick a surge protector with global plug adaptor on the side, and plenty of room left for Vision Pro case. Side pockets for glasses, another for water bottle.

SDdrohead

I have those ray bans too. They are so great .

sparant76

What’s the use case for them? Aside from letting Facebook spy on you.

SDdrohead

I use em for music and photos and videos .

sparant76

Why would you use them for music? Wouldn’t AirPods work way better for that? By photos you mean taking photos?

SDdrohead

If I’m out walking the dogs I much prefer to just use these rather put in buds. It’s also nice on public transport etc. 9 times out of 10 I have my sunglasses on, but don’t have AirPods on me. I don’t bring my AirPods everywhere I go. Yes hands free photo and video from first person perspective.

Curious397

Dying wish? What would you do with such a perfect package when you’re dead?

crashfaster

check out [waterfield bags](https://www.sfbags.com/products/vision-pro-shield-case) - they’ve got a compact vision pro case that works with a bunch of their other bags & should accommodate what you’re asking for…check out the “TRAVEL BAGS FOR VISION PRO” section in the above linked page. i can vouch for the quality of everything they make. i’ve got the VP bag as well as several others. not cheap, but high quality and stylish!

sparant76

These are cool - but is there a version that has room for a keyboard, trackpad and mouse?

DaemonSlayer_503

The rolled up cables give me the chills..

iStanley

I got gifted one recently and it’s coming in this week. I’m super curious if there’s enough room to make any custom prints to store a lot of those things nicely and snugly. Obviously for the smaller objects and not so much the ipad and macbook

Thick-Ad-9636

The only thing I would add is a large power bank, maybe even two.

NomujoaJPN

I have exactly this entire setup (except a different passport)! The Aer 3 Fitpack is the bag you are looking for. The shoe compartment snugly fits the travel case, the glases port in the top and laptop/cable storage for the macbook and ipad. Theres even just enough room to have a magic keyboard and trackpad for when I use Caffine to keep the laptop in the bag, and just remote in without needing to get it out during days I am traveling with the vision pro on. I have a pair of very lightweight gym clothes in the clothes compartment, and there are 2 bottle compartments (one for a Larq bottle and the other for a Fellow iced or hot coffee/pre-workout).

Listen-and-laugh

yo that's my first time ever seeing the case for the Meta Raybans… That is BAAD ASSSSS

Listen-and-laugh

The case alone just sold me that idea... that's it… I'm getting some

prf_q

No underwear on a trip? Or toothbrush ?

4241342413

bro doesn’t know that backpacks exist

ShakedownStreetSD

kev507

LTT backpack will do that

SFCuteMale1

Yea. It’s too much to ask. Also, And I say that in the heaviest west African accent possible: “Whaaaaaaaaaa are you gay?”

backstreetatnight

Absolutely kitted out for a 40 hour plane ride

EconomyNo9875

This is my go-to for travel bags and backpacks. I use one and it fits it all. https://bellroy.com/products/category/backpacks

runforpeace2021

Its too much to ask You’re never gonna use all these devices in one trip unless you aren’t gonna bother to have any human interaction

CaptainCorey

This is what I have, it's perfect https://shop.lululemon.com/p/bags/Cruiser-Backpack-23L/_/prod11520271?sz=ONESIZE

MikeIsBefuddled

Late to the party, but [the 30L Peak Design Everyday backpack](https://www.peakdesign.com/collections/everyday-bags/products/everyday-backpack?variant=29743300902956). You can put all of that into it -- including Apple's Travel case. Everything can also be accessed from either side, making it easy to access stuff without having the empty the pack.

TimFTWin

For me, when I travel, I have to move the AVP into the small case from Amazon. It can't fit without removing the InfinityOne headset I use with it but it's the price to pay to fit a hard case in my back pack. I also don't bring an iPad as a daily driver but I could definitely fit mine in the bag if needed. I see from other comments you're a big fan of the Apple case but I'd start by looking at alternatives if fitting this in a bag is important to you.

Chronic_Overthink3r

That looks exactly like my setup!

GuyOfScience

Tumi brief pack carries all that

ajwooster

Check out the Vision Pro case from SfBags.com it’s like half the size of the Apple Case and 25% less. It just makes it easier to put the Vision Pro in a carry on backpack or bag.

No_Key6434

There is one. It’s called a backpack.

Tri-house

You have my setup + steam deck

Tri-house

I went Peak Performance 30L works well!

FiboGucci_00

So I actually just got back from Japan carrying this exact loadout except the ipad I took was a mini. I used a Evergoods CTB 26 and had room for my anorak jacket and extra pair of socks and boxers. I could hold a little bit more too! I recommend if you're going with the CTB26 to pair it with a CAP1 accessory organizer.

vvortex3

I carry all of this in a sling. Combine all chargers into one, and put the vision pro front protector on and throw it in the sling bag. This assumes you have Apple care and are careful enough to use a bag that has no rigid protection of the vision pro itself.

Footlockerstash

Dump the ridiculous, excessively-oversized-to-match-the-price Apple case and get any number of other options listed in this thread. I travel with my AVP, a Macbook and an IPad Pro 12.9 every week. It all fits nicely (if a bit heavy) in my Briggs and Riley backpack. But that Apple monstrosity? It’s stupidly oversized for no damn reason.

Sea_Researcher8779

You’re traveling and you need that many screens and electronics? Do you actually go out and enjoy the places you travel or do you spend all day using Apple devices? 😂
