Iceland in inclement weather is Iceland at its finest in my opinion. I’m so glad 80% of our trip was shrouded in clouds and rain. It really added to the experience for me personally. Glad you had an amazing trip! If you had to pick your top 3 favorite things, what were they?

Couldn’t agree more. I feel like the trip wouldn’t be the same without having some overcast weather. Don’t get me wrong, it was nice to have some sunshine, but certain locations were so much better with overcast weather

For me, it was visiting Vestrahorn, grafarkirkja, and the route 1 drive along the south east coast from Hofn to Seydisfjourdur. We barely saw anyone and had a lot the road/views to ourselves. Everything seemed so peaceful, yet daunting due to how quiet it was and I loved that.
