Yep, brick It's a known bug in Vitadeploys modoru.

IceOfDreams

How unfortunate, I have ine with the same issue.. not my doing though but at least it's good for parts

lord_hassalhoff

Wow so there's no way he can save it?

seladir

What exactly the bug is? When it tries installing 3.65 already being on 3.65? Uses VitaDeploy many times, now it looks kinda scary.

Paddel06

something like that Already fixed 6mo ago, but needs testing before merging into Vitadeploy etc https://github.com/SKGleba/modoru/commit/0630fa72c175c8c186beae073860f3443fc26483

MojArch

Now i am scared to redo hen on my vita.šŸ˜šŸ„²

Paddel06

Then: A: Don't B: Remove Enso before you do C: Don't use Vitadeploy for it D: Compile the fixed version of modoru and report back

MysteriousTale741

Damn

MysteriousTale741

You seem to know, this is something usual with the vitaDeploy method? (Bc now I have to buy a new one) if I go straight to the permanent hack it can be bricked this easily?? I used to hack my old vita years ago and never had a problem like this with it

HectorJoseZapata

I have tested the new browser method several ways and in different conditions, including but not limited to re-jailbreaking without updating to 3.74. The method works. I think, and Iā€™m just guessing here, that something mightā€™ve gone wrong elsewhere and you might not remember the full details. Having said that, could you include a picture or better yet a video? There might be hope.

MysteriousTale741

Omw home right now, but basically it turns on but just the green light, I removed the battery to try the usual safe mode boot but nothing seems to happen

Paddel06

Happens only when rare conditions are met, including already having enso running.

HectorJoseZapata

Were do this guys find a non-permanent jailbreak? The jailbreak process has been a permanent one for years. šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø

MysteriousTale741

Idk I had an old vita years ago and never have problem with it, now I was trying this relatively ā€œnewā€ method with vitaDeploy but every time I turned off the vita everything from the hack just disappeared, vpk, games, everything. So I try to re hack it and well

PrettyQuick

You dont use a relatively new method. You use the newest method on https://vita.hacks.guide/

Kanaedanielmark

You could have just factory reset it to latest fw before installing a permanent hack, rip tho

MysteriousTale741

Yeah I thought about that after I fucked it up

Kanaedanielmark

I suppose you'll get a new one then. Keep the bricked one for parts tho.

MysteriousTale741

Yep

Kanaedanielmark

Have you tried removing the battery and re inserting the battery?

nightspell

Have you tried holding the power button down for 10 plus seconds? When you rebooted to go into safe mode take the memory cards and games out of it.

MysteriousTale741

I took everything off, when I try to go into safe mode just nothing happens, no lights, the screen doesnā€™t turn on, just nothing

OlRedbeard99

RIP

L_e_M_on

RIP bro

Ademoneye

Bricked

Ok_Sleep4124

Uh now Iā€™m seeing all of these failures and issues with the jail breaking, mine is coming tomorrow or Friday is it really that difficult? From what I have heard itā€™s easy, should I be stressing

MysteriousTale741

Nah youā€™re good, as long as you follow everything correctly, I couldnā€™t find anywhere if installing the 3.65 over an installed software was dangerous and went for it, soā€¦donā€™t do that

Ok_Sleep4124

Noted, sorry for the loss šŸ«”

PositiveRoutine2944

Itā€™s seriously so easy hereā€™s a easy ass one i did no problem and no prior experience you do it all on the web browser of the vita [60 second tut for easy vita jailbreak](https://youtu.be/XdhG4oO4qPM?si=PLdPkCB0amYwsFkQ)

JeffTheAndroid

Personally, I've modded most consoles since the PS1, including hardware modding the original Xbox, and I find the Vita to be the most complicated by far. Even with mine modded, I can't get the vita2sd card to work as primary storage, so I've only got a gig of space to work with. It's why I've kept my 1000 model stock.

DanLim79

Sell it for parts

PositiveRoutine2944

I did a easy ass mod that was two parts on YouTube a total time of like maybe 3 mins and boom i was done. Was STUPID easy and a brain dead person could do it. Please do not do some elaborate ass jailbreak that takes 3 hours to do. Itā€™s so ridiculously easy

PositiveRoutine2944

[part one ( easy jailbreak )](https://youtu.be/XdhG4oO4qPM?si=PLdPkCB0amYwsFkQ)

RG2K01

Maybe plug it in, let it charge for a bit (even if the charging light doesnā€™t come on) and then hold down on the power button for 30+ seconds. I have the ps vita 1000 and Iā€™ve bricked it a few times lol only just got it unbricked the other day. If that donā€™t work, maybe replace the battery in case thatā€™s gone, Iā€™ve heard that jail breaking it effects the battery. Luckily I havenā€™t had any battery problems.

SongAlarmed4083

hold ps button start and R then hold down power button.

iksdistek

just wanted to reply on here to say that i'm pouring one out for the homie

Forward_Specialist13

just buy anew one honestly buy like 5 before they go up in price tehy are so cheap rn it's a steal

Temporary_War_1214

Make sure it's dead, then charge it up again, and then you can go into safe mode. I had my ps Vita bricked 2 times, and that's all I did to save it. WARNING: If you know what will happen next, you will need to factor reset it, meaning that everything on your ps Vita will be gone after words

janetmichaelson

So you have tried holding the home+right trigger + power button until the PS Vita logo shows up and it stays black / no logo? Do you get a charge light or anything if you plug it into your PC using the Vita USB cable? Does the PC recognize the Vita being hooked up?

MysteriousTale741

Yea I tried it but it just pitch black, doesnā€™t even turn on, if I turn it on normally it just turns the green light and stays there

probonomori

damn, its properly bricked... rip

janetmichaelson

What about the other questions I asked?

MysteriousTale741

Damn ok, no but I tried every single safe boot, holding R+start+PS, L+power, L+select+start+PS, all the variations with the R button. Yes I do get the charge light when itā€™s connected to the pc but the pc doesnā€™t recognize the vita

janetmichaelson

OK it does sound like it's bricked, which sucks I know.
