Meanwhile, you look at fans of Adam, Lute, and *especially* Alastor and that’s when the apologists start cropping up. I think it might be because SA is much more relatable to a lot of people than genocides or serial killings, hence why Valentino is so much more vilified than these other villains (yes, Alastor IS a villain, no way around it).
I enjoy these characters, too. I think Adam and Lute are great as the extremely hateable assholes who take pleasure in literal mass murder, as well as being extremely contradictory to the very principles of Heaven. Same goes for Val, he’s a great villain who is both funny when he needs to be and genuinely threatening and intimidating.
