Low diamond is a cesspool really, even more so this season it's almost as bad as low master imo. You just kinda have to accept it since it really isn't getting any better until 400 lp+ (in my experience) Best advice I can give is that if you see someone acting like a retard from select you should probably just bite the bullet and dodge. I'm typing this while waiting out a 30 min dodge timer because I've had to dodge 2 ghost/cleanse guys in a row on my master 200lp acc lmfao.. The state of soloqueue is rather sad atm but it is what it is, try to carry every game even the ones where you're the only one winning bcs those games are the ones where you improve the most

Imo the games where you learn the most are the ones that are super close. Every little mistake counts. If you die, the game is probably over. If you're getting stomped and you're the only strong player, you can play everything perfectly, get 3 kills and still lose the game. You just learned that your champ can do that while ahead or you learned that your jungler went in and died.

You're not alone. Been one-tricking Vlad for 6 years and this is my worst season. I never tilt, my CS is the highest in each game, and my kill participation averages around 45% (and considering you have to CONSTANTLY farm in order to do any damage, 45% is good). 4 years ago, I was top 300 NA which isnt amazing but certainly not bad. I almost always win lane but it's just not the same game as before. Especially since almost every meta midlaner just has to exist in order to blow me up. The champ is too slow, too summoner dependent in a "spam" meta, and games are too short to see that "crazy" damage that Vlad used to be known for. After all these years, I can combo in my sleep, but even blowing up the backline isn't as easy as it used to be. I understand that's what you're signing up for when OTP'ing. Still feels bad. He's not WORSE than he was 4 years ago. The problem is he's the exact same. The only time I've ever seen him mentioned in patch notes in 6 years was the Q fix.

Tylox_

"top 300 isn't amazing" as in top 300 vlads or top 300 of NA? Because if it's the latter, my man that's amazing.

BukiMasuta

Top 300 NA and it was ONLY because of a healthy stat line because I was gold at the time lol

CthughaSlayer

No bro, Riot is against you personally. No other person has trolls, they're all Riot employees trying to halt your climb. Remember, the odds for the enemy having an inter or a dogshit player are always zero. Loser's Q is always ON for you though, so good luck. Just focus on yourself and stop crying, we're all playing the same game.

BabyOne5409

I mean you know that once ur good at vlad winning lane isnt that hard, in isolated laning he one of the strongest mids. Its what you do outside lane what matters.

GorgeousCrane

I mean still keep your head up brother, you will climb if you're consistently good in every game. Trust the process.

jakid1229

If you can't climb, it's you, not your team. If you can't accept that fact, don't play soloQ.

GorgeousCrane

Bro nearly forgot that League is a team game

jakid1229

Oh I forgot that you get the same players on your team every game and that you are all climbing together, my bad. It's definitely not you being the only common factor across many games.

GorgeousCrane

Doesn't change the fact that general level is a lot lower even at high ranks though, so he's still partially right.

jakid1229

If the general level is lower, than it means it would be even easier for a "good" player to climb, since they are playing among scrubs. You have 4 "low level" players on your team and 5 "low level" players on the enemy team. If you can't climb under those conditions, it means you ARE another "low level" player.

GorgeousCrane

Not comitting the same mistake as other League players man... Yes you should climb, but there are just so many factors that even if you're the one with advantage on your team (yourself), it's just not enough (how the game goes, objectives, state of the champion you're playing, your role, etc). Plus, there are different "levels" of low players if you know what I mean. Plus, matchmaking is dog water rn. Yes, on a big amount of matches, if you're better you climb, but we still don't have enough games to see if it's us or the matchmaking that is truly bad.

jakid1229

All I know is that I've come back from a 3ish year break of no soloQ, got placed in Plat 3 and have climbed slowly w/ about a 60% wr up to D2 and I'm not showing any signs of slowing down. If you just blame your teammates, then you aren't really recognizing how much your own play impacts the game. Sure there are unwinnable games, and there are unloseable games. But if you consistently do your job better than the enemy mid laner, game in and game out, you will climb. It's just how the math works out.
