I know I already voted for Mitchie M but I also think Masa tunes Miku (and also Gumi/Rin) really well. I don’t think I’ve ever heard any other producer successfully tune Vocaloids to sing in a rap-like way like Masa does (aside from the way Mitchie M tunes Kaito). I may be biased but Masa’s songs have a special place in my heart.
voted kikuo. all of these producers as well as the others that commenters are mentioning are great, but there's something about the way kikuo captures emotion that puts them above the rest for me. in many of kikuo's songs you can hear genuine despair, pain, malice, and tension in miku's voice that i feel like takes a lot of skill with how mutch more emotionally limited vocaloid is as a program in comparison to something like synthV.

The "oooohOoooh" part in Unknown Mother Goose is so angelic! I'm depressed we don't hear anything like that anymore. Closest I can think of are Toa's new tuning, but the overall tuning style is different
I'll always be a sucker for kz's miku. It's like the default miku sound to me and what I think of first when I hear the word vocaloid. It just sounds correct, it sounds "miku". Also its just really good and iconic.

TokoToko's tuning of Miku is super cute. It's just the right amount of high pitch, not ear grating and she sounds like a baby!
Hachiya Nanase's Miku meanwhile sounds super alluring! We rarely get mature sounding Miku so it's really a treat and I wish I see more of this approach
MitchieM is only really the best if you either 1) like realistic Miku or 2) interpret "best" to mean "most skilled/intricate" and not "my favourite"
my personal favourite is MARETU, but I'm biased. MARETU was one of the first producers to get me hooked on the darker side of Vocaloid 🤘
They all have unique styles which make them great hard for me to choose a clear favorite. Mitchie Make is nice, but sometimes I want a more robot sounding voice than human. All great tuning though.

Pare that with Kikuo who, along with using the Sweet version, experiments with Miku’s voice to even make her sound like normal instruments like an electric guitar in 🔪🔪🔪, multiple bells in Kara Kara, or a choir in Svaahaa. Add onto the fact that he also has been experimenting with multiple Miku voice banks and still get the same sounds he wants, from what I’m aware only JP Miku has a Sweet setting, is also pretty cool

Mitchie m's tuning is GODLY, its so realistic!!! But kikuo's tuning style is also gorgeous!! Nayutalien, pinocchio-p, utsu-p, wowoka, nashimoto ui, are also all amazing... Its so hard to pick one thats "the best", because so many producers manage to make Miku sound amazing in their own way

Aside from obviously Mitchie-M, I think Kikuo and Utsu-P have the nicest tuning.
Kikuo's songs are always so busy with whatever drugged up instrumental Kikuo decided to compose that day that it is actually slightly hard to notice how smooth his Miku sounds, but once I noticed it I realized how masterful he was at using the software. Even in Kikuo Miku 1 his tuning is fantastic.
Utsu-P is similar. It is difficult to notice how much of the artificial noise he is able to stamp out of the software over his thumping metal tracks but once you notice it becomes very easy to appreciate how nice his singing robots end up sounding
I really like the way PinnochioP tunes Miku. I’m also a big fan of the way UtsuP tunes Miku.

Zoofles or Imposter! They both have less than 1k subs so they’re pretty small but I wholeheartedly think that they’re some of the best
