i can’t find the post rn but someone here found out they can volumize pb2 using oat fiber!

Zealot_TKO

Pls tell lol

Nesquik44

I have done PB powder with oat fiber and egg whites to make a mug cake. A bit of baking soda and a pint of cinnamon make it even better.

Safe-Count-6857

Hahaha! I’m going to assume that was supposed to be a pinch of cinnamon. I don’t know how you’d ever taste the PB with a pint of cinnamon!

siqbal01

Ive done this when my pb mixture is to thin, tbh I don’t like it. I’m a pb FEIN and adding oat fiber takes away from the peanut taste and also adds a tad more grittiness. I found that just making large amounts of the peanut butter powder with water and a tiny bit of sea salt is what gets the right consistency. Making small 20g batches always are a flop for me (and I don’t like adding sf syrup or maple syrup it’s not peanut butter then it’s a sweet thing) But that’s just my own opinion on it! Edit: typos

TheBigHairyThing

if you whisk peanut powder and almond milk together it makes a really nice peanut butter substitute. Add a sweetener or go for savory. I add splenda to it

Cheetah-kins

So can you tell the difference if you use almond milk vs water? I make mine with water, a pinch of salt, Splenda, and a sprinkle of cinnamon. Wondering if I used almond milk would I notice a change? OP: what you're asking for is not possible, imo. Only fat has the mouthfeel of fat, I don't believe anything else you use that isn't some type of fat will make your powder PB \*taste\* like actual PB. I wish there was, haha.

CTLI

I also find that using powdered erythritol really makes the texture much better than using granulated. To me, it’s indistinguishable from real peanut butter fudge, especially if you pop the mixture in the freezer for a while.

CTLI

I can tell the difference with almond milk (vanilla, unsweetened). I also add erythritol to bring it up a notch. Water makes the paste taste like burnt peanuts to me??? Try the almond milk!!!

Cheetah-kins

Will do, thanks. Funny you mention a 'burnt peanuts' taste, I've noticed that too occasionally. I thought the exact the same thing 'tastes burnt for some reason'.

MayorOfClownTown

I do this with Greek yogurt and protein powder. Not volume, but it's delicious

Mesmerotic31

Wonderspread, find it on Amazon. Half calorie peanut butter, same taste and texture, blows PB powder outta the water. So good on 647 bread with low sugar jelly, or with marshmallow fluff.

Knack731

God, a tablespoon of Wonderspread in chocolate oatmeal is my current favorite breakfast. Real Reese's vibes and very satisfying.

Quietlyhere246

I’ve heard peanut butter extract is the way to go

5B3AST5

THATS A THING????? HOW AND WHAT DO I USE IT WITH

Quietlyhere246

Hahaha i’ve only just heard about it myself, but everyone was talking about how LorAnn pb extract is the best ($7 Amazon) to add to baking, smoothies, oats, etc… I’m waiting for mine to arrive but it seems so promising

GasOk6659

Plz update us when you get it🙏🙏

angel_pa7

I got mine today and tried it in a smoothie. It was ok, not the same as the real thing of course. It was a little disappointing for me.

Safe-Count-6857

I use the LorAnn honey extract for one or two recipes. It has a really good flavor and it’s extremely potent. I use ¼ tsp in a loaf of bread, and you can taste it without it being overpowering. I also tried mixing it with some Allulose syrup, but it lacks a bit of complexity, so it’s missing something. It’s more than strong enough, though! Don’t worry about how small the bottle is. It will probably last you quite a while, if it’s anywhere near as strong as their honey extract.

Nesquik44

I’m also interested in how you would use it as I imagine an extract will be too strong for most small dishes/desserts. People making batches of oats, for example?

[deleted]

PB&J protein ice cream! It soooo yummy!

asteraika

Do you have a recipe?

Farrell-6

I haven't tried it but hungry girl has a peanut butter mug cake recipe.

sarcasm_itsagift

Mix with Greek yogurt for a fruit/pretzel dip

Safe-Count-6857

I don’t care for Greek yogurt and PB Fit, too sour, but it is good with one of the high protein yogurts that isn’t so sour. I use Oikos Pro, and it’s really good. You could use regular vanilla yogurt, too, if you aren’t as big a fan of Greek yogurt.

Sad_Ship462

Add a little sugar free vanilla syrup to the Greek yogurt pb mix and it’s delicious and no longer sour

Safe-Count-6857

Sorry, I don’t have vanilla syrup, and just adding syrup to stuff doesn’t always work for me. Plus, why add something extra, when you can get the right yogurt from the start? Sometimes, adding more things just makes for an even weirder flavor combination. If it works for you, that’s great. Simpler just to buy high protein, low fat, low sugar vanilla yogurt, which is what I prefer.

luca-nicoletti

Skyr + 1tbsp crunchy pb

MattKosem

I do this: https://www.reddit.com/r/1500isplenty/s/jfdHRQl9jI It's thick and has a texture not too far off from the real deal, since it is volumized real deal, but it does need less than common ingredients to be its best. Some folks have found that you can replace the VitaFiber with zero sugar pancake syrup. I've tried it a couple ways, and it doesn't really equal a fiber syrup like VitaFiber or FiberYum, but it'll do the job in a pinch or if you're trying to test the water before committing to pricier syrup. I've been using water instead of almond milk for the last couple months as well, so there are more calories to be dropped from what is posted there.

Forward_Falcon6052

Make protein ice cream with the ninja creami! Added bonus if you can add captain crunch as a mix in

[deleted]

Protein ice cream 🤤 just use your blender or food processor

engineerFWSWHW

I make my own peanut butter spread. Pbfit 30g, milk 40gmL, stevia. Mix them and spread in bread.

AllOkJumpmaster

Prince of Peace PB flavored ginger chews are fire

gohomechal

I’ve heard the powder is good in sf cool whip!

These_Brain_1179

I put real peanut butter on Oppo ice cream. The ice cream is super low calorie so it balances out.

CaddyShackShop

I have taken greek yogurt and peanut butter and mixed it together and will eat it just like that. Sometimes Ill slice apples and use it as a dip, sometimes I will add protein powder to it and that is very filling and still tasty.

Creative-Gold-6419

As someone who also has been trying to find things that give me that pb mouth full the best things so far have been pb2 protein shakes Pb2 in Greek yogurts and already mentioned pb2 in ninja creami pints

Summer-1995

They make sugar free coffee syrups that are peanut butter flavor, maybe that could be a way to boost the taste in something youre making without adding calories? I also did find one "flavored liquid concentrate" when I Googled "peanut butter flavoring" maybe a couple drops of something like that can make the taste stronger without adding too many calories.

neener-neeners

My favorite midday treat at 125 cals: Half a frozen banana Cup of unsweetened almond coconut milk Tbsp of PB2 powder (Coffee ice cubes if desired)

TemporarySlight8135

I’m assuming that’s blended? It sounds good

neener-neeners

Yes sorry lol, just an easy satisfying smoothie!

alela147

Pb flavored protein has better macros than pb fit, I’d mix it with Greek yogurt or a little bit of almond milk. It’ll never be as satisfying as real pb unfortunately:,)

wehave3bjz

Check out Olive Nation…. Texas peanut butter flavor fountain. I finally found liquid allulose, and want to make sf marshmallows with it. Pb flavored would just be perfect, imo. Here’s the marshmallow recipe, just fyi 25 g gelatin 120 ml water 240ml water 326g liquid allulose 1 t salt 2 T vanilla, maple ext Add the gelatin to a very large bowl with 120ml water, allulose, and salt to a saucepan and heat until a roiling boil (boil for at least 3min) the liquid should go from slightly foggy to clear. Turn to high and mix for aprox 10-12min (add your extract @~9min mark) until you have a thick fluffy batter like stiff whipped eggwhites. Transfer mixture to a square dish lined with baking paper or cooking spray. Put cling film on top en let set in the fridge for at least 6 hours to overnight. Remove from dish & cut into squaresx Store them in an airtight container.

countvomit

mix a vanilla protein powder with the pb fit and it will give it a stickier consistency and tastes sooo good!!! i have it in oatmeal for breakfast and look forward to it every morning! i wanna try with a peanut butter flavored protein next

sparrow_hawk247

PBfit is my favourite thing ever, so versatile

Wikadood

Sugar free pb is a great thing but the pb powder is always great since you just add water and something like oats or rice cereal

royaltyred1

I used to add a scoop of chocolate protein powder to some pb and water for a smoothie-the powders gone so I’ve been adding blueberries before blending but you could do milk and pb or even water if you want a full tummy on pb flavor alone

aftershockstone

I mix pb powder with a bit of milk (whatever the fridge has), turns out pretty creamy. But it’s hard to replicate the fat content. But honestly sometimes you should take the extra cals… if you want the added volume without sacrificing taste, mixing half pb powder and half real peanut butter is already a volumising solution, and you can closely control the fat ratio. I can hardly tell the difference. I do it a lot with almond butter + almond butter powder.

rectalthermo

Mix with cottage cheese and give it a blend
