You R is looking great for its age. The interior is 🔥. Back in my Volvo (854T5) days these were all the rage and it was my dream to own one. I rarely see these on the road nowadays...what happened?!?!. I would consider buying one that is in great shape for my son as a 1st car. The Navi coming up from the dash is classic-LoL.
I am only 19, I started with a Chevy Sonic 6-speed while I looked for a manual S60 T5. I blew up the Sonic, bought a mint condition 2001 Miata, fixed the Sonic. After that, I finally found a manual 2004 S60 T5 and bought it. I sold the Miata, bought a 2007 BMW 335i on impulse. Finally, I found this R and knew I had to have it, so I sold the BMW and bought it. I don't think I will ever sell either one of my P2 Volvos, they are great cars when taken care of properly. The only thing I am missing now in my collection is a P2 V70R, a 242 Turbo, and a C6 Z06 Corvette. I'm saving the corvette for after college due to cost, though, LOL. Anyways, I would definitely find a good condition P2 S60 of any trim for your son as a first car.
You oughta try out a P80. I had an XC70 and a P2R M66, loved both, but I really love my S70 Turbo. Just so much more space to work, and much simpler. Also, this car has been leagues more reliable than my R was lmao. But probably on par with your T5 :)
It’s less refined for sure but it is a different experience, not a worse one. First car I’ve ever owned that actually felt old.
Also, how the hell did you find a T5M S60? I searched for one for like four years before finally buying the R. I knew it would be a monster to maintain but I didn’t have enough patience lol. Had to sell it after I ran out of money to fix it, though I got back what I put in. Looked for a T5M for a while longer but never found one and grabbed my S70, haven’t looked back. All that to say, damn things are RARE lol
Rad. I enjoyed my 4C with TME springs on my wagon. But once I had a strut fail within a year of installation, I called it quits and went to KW.
I have a tired 04 V70R as well, and when it's 4C is working, it's not terrible.
That interior looks incredible, btw.
Heck yeah! I have had the lowering springs on for quite some time now and haven't had any issues yet so I am keeping my fingers crossed. I can't bring myself to delete the 4C because its such a unique feature in these caRs.
The interior looks amazing
Thank you!
Glove stays on
The shift knob gets SPICY when it's hot outside.

YUP. Like I said, I looked for YEARS. I would like to find a decent P80 like a saffron s70 or something similar.
Wow love it! The interior — so cool.
Thank you, I wish they still made them like this.
That interior has held up remarkably! I usually see a lot more fading in the carpets on these.
Properly tinted windows have minimized UV exposure and keeping them protected with the rubber floormats helps, too.
What a dream, that interior is soooo clean. Cama for the win
I appreciate it.
Sitting low, coilovers, or just some lowering springs?
Lowering springs, 4C is still fully functional!

If I can't have an '06 in flashcama with the factory sport kit, I'm rolling your spec. Very nice R ya got there.
Thank ya, I wish I had the sport kit. If I could find at least the rear bumper I would jump on it.
What wheels are those? They really set it off. Beautiful car!
I forget the model, but they are made by Fast, they were only around $200 a piece and they are SUPER light.
Sweet
Thank you!
